Install is corrupt.

I am running Firefox version 3.0.15 Every time I try to install Flash Player, it returns "Install is Corrupt" with a series of numbers error message and then crashes out.
Any ideas of what's going on and how to correct it?
Thanks in advance,
David

  • Acsrvmui.cab required for this install is corrupt

    I uninstalled SharePoint 2013 on Server 2012 and restarted.  Now I am installing SharePoint 2013 again, StandAlone and within 30 seconds I am getting an error
    acsrvmui.cab required for this install is corrupt.
    I have downloaded this to my desktop and run it as administrator and I still get this error.

    I was attempting a clean install with all Pre-Reqs installed and have encountered this error.
    To be safe I extracted the ISO with WIN RAR and tested - FAIL
    Mounted the ISO as a Drive - FAIL
    I ran this both with and without Administrative rights - FAIL
    This is a Windows 2012 R2 with the latest updates.
    Did you ever get around this or get a resolution from Microsoft?

  • Photoshop CS4 Install Issue (corrupt file)

    As someone else below had this problem, and apparently solved it, I'm reposting here because I haven't solved it, and the issue doesn't seem to be going away like it did for them.
    I purchased the CS4 PS upgrade from Adobe's site.  After downloading it (using the latest non-beta firefox) I double click the EXE file (of the two it downloads) and get an error stating "A problem occured when extracting some files. Check available space and write privledges"
    My drive has over 300gb free space, and I'm running as admin.
    I have tried disabling UAC and turning off my AV software to no avail, re-installing and redownloading both with no UAC/AV going.  The gentleman (kfallsbob) that had this problem solved it by repeatedly downloading the software until he got a good copy.  After this revelation was made, I downloaded the trial version of the latest winzip to get to the .Z7 file and see if it was valid.  It extracts part way and gives a data error, so it appears the file is corrupted or becomes corrupted during the DL process.
    I have downloaded this 7 times so far.  I'm reaching the limit of my patience.
    Does anyone have a solution for this?  I submitted a request for help through the website, but apparently the case has dissapeared.  I will try calling when I get home, but I often work late.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
    Thanks.
    System:  Intel E6700 running vista ultimate 64 with 8gb ram

    Looked through that, looks like it's for non Akamai (the DL manager) downloads since those bypass the whole internet cache and whatnot.  I tried digging up the FTP site, but looks like they host only their free apps there (go figure...) I'm hoping that they have some alternate DL method I can get to, but still haven't heard from them.  Unfortunately phone support is only around until 5pm pacific time and strangely enough, I work until 5pm pacific time...  I would love to see a company that has people around later than normal work hours for support!
    WHEEEEE!
    Edit:
    Given that the regular install process and winzip both choke at about 4% through the extraction process, I'm going to call that sufficient as far as unzipping the compressed file goes.

  • Mountain lion install crashes-corrupted download

    Twice now, after lengthy downloads to my 27" IMac running 10.6.8. the mountain lion install crashed in the early stages with the same error message that the download is corrupted. please delete the install package from the application folder and repeat the download. After the second try, I decided to try downloading Lion which I purchased early this year but never downloaded.
    Any suggestions?

    The installation could not be completed because errors were found on your drive. Boot up again while holding down the option key and the select Recovery partition. From there, open Disk Utility and first verify and then, if needed, repair the disk "Macintosh HD". If your drive is 'fixable' this will repair any errors.

  • Problem when installing Publisher : corrupted published_content_portlets.pt

    I've installed Publisher 6.4 under Linux RedHat and I have a problem : the file "published_content_portlets.pte" has some corrupted lines, like these :
    <PTPORTLETTEMPLATEARRAY>
    <!-- pcp_en.xml goes here -->
    <!-- new language starts here EN -->
    <PTOBJECT>
    <BASE>
    <UUID xsi:type="xsd:string">{EC9C589B-3E3E-45E6-AC41-F56204A882A7}</UUID>
    <NAME xsi:type="xsd:string">Announcement</NAME>
    <DESCRIPTION xsi:type="xsd:string">This portlet template is used to create new announcement portlets.</DESCRIPTION>
    <ITEM>
    <LANG xsi:type="xsd:string">ko</LANG>
    <LOCALSTRING xsi:type="xsd:string">??? - ????? ???? Portlet ?
    ????</LOCALSTR</ITEM>
    <ITEM>
    <LANG xsi:type="xsd:string">nl</LANG>
    The tag "LOCALSTRING" is not correctly closed.
    How can I resolve this ?

    The exact problem is : after importing the PTE file published_content_portlets.pte, I cannot use the newly imported portlets.
    For example, when I want to create a new portlet base on the template "News" french localized, I cannot modify this new portlet : I got a popup which told me that the template is not properly configured or files are missing.
    By the way, when I open the publisher explorer, I can see all the portlets I've imported but they are not published

  • Download of firefox and adobe flash will not install file corrupt message

    cannot install firefox or adobe flash get file corrupt message:

    Try installing from the Offline Installer. It may be a temporary folder permissions error, so this may fix it. Here is a link to try to download from:

    If that doesn't work, try this one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

  • Bootcamp 2.2 instalation files corrupt

    Please help, I've been trying to get the trackpad of my macbook pro to fully work. I read I needed the bootcamp update 2.2 (I'm currently running 2.1 on windows xp pro) And every time I download it (from apple website) and try to install it this annoying message shows:
    Some instalation files are corrupt, please download a fresh copy and retry the installation.
    What can I do?? where can I get an uncorrupted file if not from apple itself???? PLEASE HELP ME.

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,
    although stated otherwise, the BCUpdate is exactly that: an update which requires the BootCamp Drivers/Control Panel 2.0 to be installed.
    I have yet to see someone, who was able to use it as a standalone Driver installer.
    In VMWare Windows it can't find the BC 2.0 (not installed) nor can it find it on a Dell Windows.
    And since it is a Windows program, it won't run in Mac OSX.
    Also keep in mind, that the BCUpdate is from Aril 2008. So if your Mac is younger than that, you might not even need it for your BootCamp Windows, since your installed drivers are newer than the update.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • Everything i download and try to install is corrupt

    can anyone help me with this? i bought an hp pavilion, it has windows 7 ( 64 bit ). everytime i download anything and try to install, it says it is corrupt and unknown author. i also had to buy a zoom usb 56k dialup modem, because your computer does not have a dialup modem in it.

    Hello Ganana54,
    There are 100's of different models of the pavilion line. Can you list which specific model you are using?
    What anti virus software are you using?
    Try temporarily disabling the software and attempt to download one file that you know is safe, does it successfully download and install?

  • Abobe Cloud install Error (corrupt -60)

    trying to re-install the Adobe Cloud package on my new Windown 8 64 bit computer - receive the following error "The download appears corrupt.  Press cancel, wait a few minutes and try again (-60)"
    I have turned off the firewall, but still no luck with the download.  The only thing that I can think of as a possibility is that perhaps Adobe is flagging the download - After my initial download (most of the Cloud), I had to revert my hard drive (new computer) due to some problems.  After the revert, I started receiving the error message when I tried to re-install the cloud - so, not sure if Adobe is flagging the download in some manner (already downloaded at the IP address/computer)???   thank you in advance

    Ok if you are continuing to receive the -60 error then please try the steps listed in Sign in or activation errors | CS6, CS5.5 Subscriptions, CS6 Perpetual - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html.  This document offers several common causes for the difficulty which you are experiencing.

  • No operating system installed or corrupted partition

    I have a MacBook Pro and wanted to setup Boot Camp 2.0 so that I could run windows in order to install programs neccessary to manage my Blackberry.
    I partitioned the XP as 10Gb and formatted FAT 32. The XP Home CD I used was one originally for my Gateway laptop. Had to back up everything on an external HD and install Mac OS x 10.5.1 (erase and install) since files could not be moved if I had all my info on the computer. Everything went well off the clean install until I had to install boot camp drivers for windows. I could not install updated features because it was SP1.
    So I found another Gateway XP Home CD this time it was SP2 (used for my mom's desktop). First, deleted the windows partition by using boot camp assistant. And tried the process over again, this time with the SP2 cd. Partition kept the same at 10Gb, but upon restarting the screen went black and said "No operating system installed or partition corrupted, press 'R' to perform system recovery". Tried 'R' but nothing happened, seemed frozen. The SP1 cd is able to get some response upon a restart, but that is not the cd I want the computer to read and set up again. Sorry for the drawn out explanation, but I don't know where to go from here...

    Sweet! I appreciate your help. Boot camp confuses me because I always had the thought that if you already had a win xp cd then you could just boot that up on your mac computer. Did not realize that if it is registered or tied to another computer that that would limit it, and force you to buy a whole new Win operating system.
    I am just worried now that my partition/disk is messed up now after all those clean installs and unsuccessful boot camp installs and removals. I went into Disk Utility and ran a "repair disk" on my Mac HD. It came back with 9 warnings regarding SUID files that have either been modified or simply cannot be repaired. Will yet another "erase and install" from the Mac OS X Leopard cd fix all these or no? Is that the best way to go about a fix? Just want to make sure I have done no permanent damage so I can restore all my data off my external HD and possibly try boot camp againt, correctly, in the future.

  • Boot Camp "Quit and install later" corrupted the BOOTCAMP partition

    I just had my new iMac delivered.
    The first things I did was to run Software Update to install 10.6.8, then I installed 10.7.1 Lion and ran Software Update again just to be sure I got everything up to date as it should be. After installing a couple of applications via App Store and the web I set about to create a Boot Camp partition for my Win7 needs. When the assistant was finished (a new partition created and drivers saved to a USB memory stick) and told me it was ready to install Windows, but I choose Quit and install later (and oh, what I now regret that choice) because my Windows DVD was nowhere to be found (I should have looked a little harder).
    Then when I later found the Windows 7 install DVD I launched Boot Camp Assistant again, but lo and behold when it tells me that I need to reformat my partions and start over from scratch. Boot Camp Assistant refuses to let me install Windows because I choose Quit and install later.
    I have tried the following things to solve the problems:
    Repair permissions and repairing the disk.
    Start with the bundled OSX DVD to run fsck -fy followed by Disk Utility.
    Re-format the BOOTCAMP partition.
    Boot from the Windows 7 DVD (which claims something along the lines that the partition does not support Windows installations).
    Nothing works! Why? How do I solve this?

    The past and having used whatever. FWB HDToolkit, Silverlining, $10K worth of scsi means??
    windows requires that the partition table and format (GUID) has full functional MBR that Windows and Mac can work with.
    Ever heard of take your best guess and double it for how much space to allocate? or no matter how good your partitions will always need to be changed.
    Apple (that pdf guide?) is quite clear about one thing, which I usually but not here, take with grain of salt, that Boot Camp Assistant is a one trick pony to do the job of setting aside unfragmented free space for Windows.
    ie, you can't use FWB Toolkit of SoftRAID 4.0 (excellent though it is!). Though Paragon CampTune (the company is rare, supports Boot Camp etc) and can be used.
    If you created it now, but then you had 10.7 and Boot Camp 4, I could possibly get my head to imagine there could be an issue. And that is because every OS version has new changed partition table changes, making for this old (65 and going) mainframer to re-initialize drives whenever there is a change.
    You can clone your system, format, and restore nice and clean with SuperDuper in a Jiffy. So why bother now? can't see it.
    I understand people wanting 3 or more partitions. Wanting Windows to boot off external drive. Or use GPT and UEFT (that may happpen as 3TB drives and is beginning to be supported, but so far Apple and EFI are closed, proprietary, and GPT booting and EFI go hand in hand) but extra partitions is just... wishful.
