  • Error: Java Runtime Environment seems to be already installed

    Hi
    I have been trying to install VDI core on Linux(Centos - 5.5 64 Bit) but unable to do so because of the error Common agent container is not installed on this system. I have checked and found that the cacao 2.2 is installed on the server but the service is unable to start during the OS boot up. I have tried all the possible ways to re-install but got no luck.
    So Finally got another box with solaris 10 update 9 running on Intel. Even this one is not letting me continue the installation. I was getting the below error when trying to install the VDI.
    As the below error seeems to be something related to the java, i tried removing the java packages. But still unable to get the installation up and running fine.
    bash-3.00# ./vda-install

    ./.install/vda-install-java: ./.install/vda-install-srs: cannot execute

    Any quick would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    I hope this thread isn't dead, because I have nearly the identical message to the previous poster and was hoping to find out how you got around the error. Any luck?

  • Add-ons Manager Says Java Needs Update, But Latest Version Already Installed

    I have Java version SE7 U51 10.51.2.13 installed and working fine. Today I "upgraded" to FF 28.0. Now the Add-Ons Manager says Java is out-of-date, but when I go to the Java website, this is the very latest version available. I downloaded both the 32- and 64-bit versions anyway (though I had already installed them a month ago) and re-installed both. The FF Add-Ons Manager still has same warning: "Vulnerable- Update Now!" The Java Test page says I have the latest version, and it works.
    So what the heck to do?

    Never mind- found the answer. It's the same old silly runaround between Firefox and Oracle. The Firefox link send you to the wrong Java version (outdated) and you have to find the correct Oracle webpage that now has Java version 8 (actually v.1.8.0 plug in 11.0.2.132) and download and install THAT. It would be nice if this were simpler...

  • Possible to check in Java, if if a package is already in the jar-Cache?

    I have an applet, that has only one main.jar in the Cache-Archive parameter.
    Because I wanted to reduce the preload-Time, since 1.4.0 I use an index.list file, listing
    the rest of jar-Files needed for my applet. So the jar-Files will be only
    downloaded to the time, they are needed, if they aren't already in the jar-cache.
    The Problem: If the applet needs a new jar-File, that isn't in the jar-Cache, it needs
    time to download the package. But the user doesn't see that something happens.
    Is it possible to check with JAVA in the applet, if a package is already in the jar-Cache?
    If i know this, I'll be able to show the user that the applet is currently downloading a package.

    do u mean a file in the JAR?
    if yes, yes u can check that.
    check this,
        public ImageIcon loadImage(String location)
    java.net.URL url =  null;
    url = getClass().getResource(location);
    if (url == null) then ...
        }

  • Java.lang.IllegalStateException:Attempt to validate already invalid Region

    Hi,
    i am using jdev 11.1.1.2
    I am working in region, I drag drop the table and so on.Suddenly i start getting this error -”java.lang.IllegalStateException: Attempt to validate an already invalid RegionSite”.
    any idea how to solve it.

    check all these points..
    - Check all bindings of page. if you not able to find it then delete it and create again.
    - Add the “-Djbo.debugoutput=console” in JAVA options of the Run/Debug/Profile to see the error
    - Check if all the library references for the UI project are proper and that is also accessible.

  • HT5648 The App store wants me to update to Java 1.6.0_41 -- but I already have the latest Java 1.7 ver. downloaded from Oracle.

    How do I remove the Java 1.6.0_41 update from App Store updates list without actually installing it? I don't want to revert to an older Java than what I got from Oracle just a week ago (Java "1.7.0_11").
    PS, I thought Apple was no longer doing its own Java version anymore and that maintenance for Java for Mac was now in Oracle's hands. What gives?

    You should not ignore it as that will leave you with an unsafe version of Java SE 6 integrated into your system. If you shoud ever need to revert from Java 7 to Java 6 (which many users have found necessary for compatibility reasons) that would leave you open to attack. It's very difficult to remove Java 6 so you might as well keep it up-to-date.
    I thought Apple was no longer doing its own Java version anymore and that maintenance for Java for Mac was now in Oracle's hands. What gives?
    The agreement was that Apple would continue to update Java 6 and Oracle would take over at Java 7.  Both can exist on your computer, though in general, only one will be active at any given time.  Oracle's public support for Java 6 ends this month and without it Apple will be hard pressed to continue after that date, but we'll all just have to wait and see how that goes.

  • Citrix remoter access to work won't work, it keeps asking for Cocoa Java Plug-in, but this should already exist?

    Helpdesk at work is helpless.  My citirx connection to access work remotely connects fine, but when I try to login further it says that my browseer doesn't have Cocoa Java Plug-in.  I've updated the software and have downloaded the update for Safari 10.6.  But it stops.  It also asks if JVM 1.4.1 or later is installed.  I've updated that too.

  • Won't install java 1.8 says version already exists 14.9

    I'm trying to create a database in Open Office which I was able to do fine this morning, but now after updating OO it is telling me "no java installation could be found". When I go to oracle to download the latest Java version the machine tells me I already have version 14.9 installed which as far as I can tell from google searching is  not an actual version of Java since every link is in another language. I've gone through the forums to see how to delete the version of "java" that I do have off the machine. Opened the terminal and cut and pasted in the command from this post: When trying to install newest Java, computer says a newer one already exists? But it says I need a password to run the command. There is no solution on this thread. So I'd really love for someone to tell me what the heck give here. (I'm running 10.9.5 and trying to use OO 4.1.1. I've gone through the OO forums to no avail as well.)

    How I was able to overcome the Java 14.9.0 problem
    My iMac (late 2009) was yesterday updated to  Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and today  I updated Java through Apple Store, which resulted in Java 14.9.0 and it was unable to run.
    After researching, I found the following path that was 100% successful to delete Java 14.9.0 and able to install Java 10.8.40.
    On the  System Preference for Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.5 go to section:
    1. Personal -> Security Privacy -> Firewall -> turn it off
    2. General-> Check "Allow application downloaded from anywhere".
    (In case if Norton Firewall is on: check it  Disabled)
    On Finder -> Devices -> Macintosh HD and localize Java Applet Plugin.plugin and move it to trash:
    Finder -> Devices -> Macintosh HD -> Library -> Internet Plug-Ins -> JavaAppletPlugin.plugin
    Go to www.java.com and install Java version 8 update 40.
    After following the  steps, verify its installation.
    Go back to System Preference and localize in the section Other  "Java Control Panel". Click on its icon and go to Security and check "Enable Java content in the browser".
    Check browser to activate Java Plug in: Firefox -> Tools -> Add-ons ->Plugins -> Java Applet Plug-in - Java 8 Update 40
    Check "Always Activate " or "Ask to Activate"
    Hope these paths help you.

  • [SOLVED] Since updating to Java 1.6.0_33 on my MacBook running OSX 10.6.8, websites say Java not installed in Firefox, but works in Chrome

    I work for User Testing, which uses a Java-based screen recorder to make videos of people using commercial websites and offering spoken feedback on the site. Since installing the Java 1.6.0_33 update for Snow Leopard on my MacBook, the User Testing screen recorder does not recognize that Java is installed, and won't work.
    If I switch to Chrome, all works smoothly. I have the latest version of Firefox, and have installed the latest updates. I have opened Java Preferences in my Utilities, and made sure that the checkbox "Enable applet plug-in and Web Start applications" is checked. I have cleared the cache and cookies in Firefox. The problem still persists.
    User Testing says no other Mac users have reported the problem, and so they cannot help me. I rely on a Firefox add-on that is not available for Chrome to notify me of new User Testing jobs (which are normally claimed in seconds), so it is not practical for me to simply switch to Chrome or another browser.
    Interestingly, when checking my plugins in order to fill out the information required below in this help request, I was sent to a Firefox page that says "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version."
    When I click the link, it says that Apple supplies its own version of Java, which of course I have already installed. Guess this is the root of the problem, but how do I fix it?
    EDITED TO ADD SOLUTION:
    After even more Googling, I eventually stumbled on the solution. In the Firefox menu, I chose Help>Troubleshooting Information, and clicked "Show in Finder" under Application Basics. I then quit Firefox, clicked on the Profile folder, deleted the file "pluginreg.dat", and restarted Firefox. Java now shows up among my plugins, and is enabled by default. The failure of pluginreg.dat to update automatically was supposed to be an old Firefox problem that has been solved, but apparently that is not always the case.
    Thank you to everyone who answered.

    I read somwhere that firefox disables certain versions of java because it might give control of your computer to other malicious websites
    I think you have to go to the java website and down load the version you need and enable it in firefox's prefrences
    Sorry I may be a veteran in using firefox, but I know very little since I hardly had problems with mozilla untill just very recently hope this helps

    I was thinkign of tryimg to fix the dump, but it's a 800MB binary dump so i guess that's out.
    Anyhow, anybody as a clue of what's going on ?? (ie: db setting or something).

  • Can I install XML parser for Java in Windows 98?

    Could someone tell me how to install XML parser for Java in my PC Windows98 (I already installed JDK1.3)? Or it can not be installed in Windows98?
    Thanks in advance!

    There's no reason why it shouldn't work on any platform for which JDK1.3 is available. If you're using the batch files shipped with XDK to run the parser, you might need to change the syntax slightly; in any event the key command is just
    java -cp c:\xdk\lib\xmlparserv2.jar oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxml %xdkparm%Brian

    Hi,
    As per error log, Java schema which you are creating already exits in database.  If Java Schema already there then why are you installing Java Add-in again ??
    You can delete already existing Java Schema as below:
    1. Log on as user ora<dbsid>.
    2. Start sqlplus and connect to the database. Enter:
    sqlplus /nolog
    SQLPLUS>connect / as sysdba
    3. Enter the following command to delete the database objects of the database schema:
    SQLPLUS> drop user SAP<SCHEMA_ID>DB cascade;
    4. Enter the following command to get the file name of the corresponding data file in the file system:
    SQLPLUS> select file_name from dba_data_files where \
    tablespace_name = 'PSAP<SCHEMA_ID>DB';
    5. Enter the following command to delete the tablespace of the database schema:
    SQLPLUS> drop tablespace PSAP<SCHEMA_ID>DB including contents;
    6. Exit sqlplus:
    SQLPLUS> exit
    7. Delete the data file of tablespace PSAP<SCHEMA_ID>DB from the file system

  • LOGIC PRO APPLICATIONS UPDATE 4.0.2 ERROR JAVA SCRIPT on install of PRO APP

    I have recently installed Logic 8.. Upon opening Logic 8 after installing . I get an error that says I need to install a pro application support version 4.0.2 in order to run Logic 8. I then download the App Supp. update version 4.0.2 and attempt to install it. Upon installation it scans my volumes and startup disk . Then it flags an error. (red exclamation point) stating while evaluating the volumes it has found an error in my java script.. I have already inserted my OSX disc. and went to disk utilities and repaired all permissions as well as booted up in safe mode (hold down shift on boot up) and repaired all permissions in disk utilities again.. Still having the same error.. I cant have one with out the other and have exhausted a week trying to figure this problem out.... I have seen a similar post about this problem but there were issues with the "postee" about not having the OSX install disk so there was never any closure with that one....
    PLEASE HELP... I would love to celebrate a successful install of Logic 8

    Good news, thanks for the report!
    I was drawing a blank in that other thread, but while mulling it then seeing your new post... BINGO!

  • Programmatically creating VM from already created image using Java

    Hello.
    I am writing a Java program to create VMs from already created VM images. I was able to create through the web portal.
    I am using the API given here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj157194.aspx
    The request sent is
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    </Deployment>
    "ml-centos-name" is an existing image with that name and I have used this to create another VM from this image.
    I have already created the required cloud service as required by this API.
    I am getting error 400 with text as "Bad Request". This means some parameter is wrong.
    Any help is very much appreciated.

    Is there any way to find out which element is causing this Bad Request error? Thanks
