    Trying to install Lightroom 5 with CC but getting error code 5 on initial startup of Lightroom. Have uninstalled all adobe products including Creative Cloud CC.
    Followed the instructions on the forum by using the CC Cleaner App for OSX. Have restarted a number of times and even tried using disk utility to fix any permission probs. Still no luck.
    The problem started happening from upgrading the previous version of Lightroom to the most up to date version. Im hoping someone can help me with any ideas. Thanks heaps.

    Ended up fixing the problem after finding no answers. Deleted the following file
    com.adobe.acc.AdobeCreativeCloud.plist

  • Installing Lightroom 4 from CD onto imac error

    I have just bought Lightroom 4 on CD and have ben trying to install on my imac with OSX Snow Leopard 10.6 I believe. I When I try to start the install, I get the following -
    The operation couldn't be completed (com.apple.installer.page controller error -1.) couldn't open 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg'
    Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks.

    I downloaded the software directly as you suggested, but still the same error message comes up when I try to install. I also had to do the same thing with my Canon Utilities software, but it doesn't work properly on the mac either. I am begining to suspect that my imac is too old to work with the latest programmes.

  • Cannot install GLIB on OSX 10.6 (configure: error: *** No iconv() implement

    Folks,
    I've been trying everything I can to install GLIB 2.23.0 on OSX 10.6 and it's failing when I attempt to run the ./configure with this error message below.
    checking for libiconv_open in -liconv... no
    configure: error: * No iconv() implementation found in C library or libiconv
    How do I resolve to get this installed?

    This solved it.
    http://letsneverdie.net/blog/?p=75
    ./configure
    Once this is complete, we’ll need to replace 3 lines in a certain source file.
    From what I understand, apple’s included libiconv doesn’t support 64bit, and I happen to be building a 64bit irssi. So, let’s make the changes below to make sure the libiconv that we’ve built is used. Navigate to the ‘glib’ folder (just plain glib, the one INSIDE of the main glib source folder), and open ‘gconvert.c’ with your favorite editor.
    #if defined(USELIBICONVGNU) && !defined (LIBICONVH)
    #error GNU libiconv in use but included iconv.h not from libiconv
    #endif
    #if !defined(USELIBICONVGNU) && defined (LIBICONVH)
    #error GNU libiconv not in use but included iconv.h is from libiconv
    #endif
    replace the last 3 lines, like so:
    #if defined(USELIBICONVGNU) && !defined (LIBICONVH)
    #error GNU libiconv in use but included iconv.h not from libiconv
    #endif
    #if !(defined(_APPLE_) && defined(_LP64_)) && !defined(USELIBICONVGNU) && defined (LIBICONVH)
    #error GNU libiconv not in use but included iconv.h is from libiconv
    #endif
    Save and close the file in place. Now you’re ready to compile and install glib:
    make
    sudo make install

  • Receive error 21 when trying to install lightroom cc 2015 using creative cloud

    On trying to install Lightroom CC 2015 using Creative Cloud I receive error 21.  Any ideas what to do??

    I have the exact same issue. I had a trial of Lightroom 5 installed, and whenever I then tried to install Lightroom CC (2015) it would fail at 42% with an error 21. Logging out and back in of CC desktop got it to install successfully and then Lightroom 5 was marked as "Start Trail" again.
    Now though, whenever I try to start Lightroom CC (2015) it shows the start splash screen and then closes straight away and doesn't start. The "Continue Trial/Purchase License" screen then appears, and closing that out does nothing.
    I've tried logging out and back in to CC desktop, and restarting, but neither option fixes the issue. I even tried logging out, restarting then logging back in again. Still no joy.
    As a side note: Lightroom 5 in CC desktop doesn't show an uninstall option - it says "Uninstall Unavailable". Both Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC do allow for an uninstall option though.
    I'm on Mac OSX 10.10.3

  • Blank error message when installing Lightroom CC?

    Wanted to see if Lightroom 6 works well...and got this after it was 42% downloaded.
    Someone has a bug because this is not a user friendly error msg :-)
    How do I install Lightroom 2015???

    I forgot to mention, I'm on Windows.
    I finally got it to install.  I changed the installation location from the Default Directory to another drive.  I'm guessing it ran out of space.  Restarted it and it installed almost all the way, but then bombed on the installation of MSVC's runtime vc_redist_x64.exe so I installed that off MS' site and it seems fine.
    Still...someone needs to do more QA work on systems that are not fresh installs of Windows or OSX :-P
