I install messaging, and i have a problem.
this is the procedure i made :
1�) install DS 5.1
2�) launch ims_dssetup.pl of the messaging 1.21 hotfix
3�) Install messaging. And then i have an error and this message in a message box :
A serious problem occurred while installing the iplanet messaging server common messaging configuration LDAP (msg.cfgldap.common.inf). it reported the followwing problem : the server configuration for the common messaging configuration in LDAP (msg.cfgldap.common.inf) cannot be created.
Can you help me. Thanks

The common causes of this error are:
1. Installation if iDS into the same directory as iMS. You cannot do this.
2. Not being fully consistant with the answers give during ims_dssetup.pl and the installation of iMS

"Product is not installed" message when running weblogic upgrade installer

Hi,
I have successfully installed WLS 10.3.5 and JDeveloper Studio using jdevstudio11116install.jar installer on my local machine running Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition . Now when I try upgrading WLS to version *10.3.6*, using wls1036_upgrade_generic.jar, I run into "*Product is not installed*" message. I tried even running wls1036_upgrade_win32.exe and the results are the same.
Appreciate if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong. I only followed the WLS install/upgrade documentation but looks like something is amiss.

Appreciate if anybody out there can help me with the problem. I am wondering if the message cropped up due to the fact that I am trying to run a product upgrade specifically targeted at WebLogic Server instead of running a upgrade installer for jdeveloper since WLS 10.3.5 came with JDev installer in the first place. I am not aware if upgrade installlers are available for jdevstudio. Another way to put this is, I should have run WLS 10.3.5 installer first(instead of jdev) and the 10.3.6 upgrade installer next. That probably might have worked. Then again I am not sure this is correct.

How to deal with the "driver not installed" message?

My issue, and it seems many others here have it too, is how to install a printer driver in the face of the "driver not installed" message.
In my case, it's an HP4160 Rendevous printer. I've deleted the com.apple.print files in the Library, reinstalled the software, made sure that BDC package, or whatever it's called is installed, even downloaded and run the printer fix software from Fixamac.
Nothing works.
I have the feeling this isn't a printer or driver-specific issue, but is an OS problem. Does anyone have a suggestion?

It appears the Deskjet 4160 will not work with an Airport. Connected via USB, the driver installs normally and the the printer appears to run just fine, although I haven't done much with it yet.
It simply will not work on a wireless network through an Airport. Frustrating, but workable by bringing the laptop to the printer.

Try this - Disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update.
After you install iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed when connecred via wireless.

Two part question 1) what happens if you sign into messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 after it expired? does the whole application not work or just imessage? 2) does installing messages beta on os x lion 10.7.5 delete ichat?

It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012 (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.

Not until the day that 10.8 is released will anyone know the details but it's doubtful you will have to uninstall Messages. Native Mac OS X applications that run on v10.7 shouldn't be a problem wtih 10.8 but again, we won't know until Mountain Lion is released.

Latest update will not install; "Installing" message remains, but no progress. (Mac OS X 10.7.5)

Periodically (frequently), I receive the message that advises an update to Firefox is available. (The current version is 14.0.1; and I am using a MacBook Pro OS X, version 10.7.5.) However, when I "Install" and it gives me an "Installing" message, I go no further. I have left this in process for a considerable time (until the end of the day), and yet it remains in the "installing" mode.
How can I complete the installation process?

If there is an issue with update or permissions the better, quickest and safest way is to download and install firefox:
1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
2. '''''Trash''''' the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.

So you have not changed anything or updated
try reseating the sim (assume it is a microsim not a hand cut )
and go through Apple troubleshooting
Restart ,reset ,restore
May be the sim has gone "bad"

I'd tried all yours the suggestions ports, but occurs the same error. I don't know if there is a problem with silent installation mode when it tries to get the port number in the configuration file. Because all ports that I try use, the error is always about 8081 port. I checked in the netstat and only the 8081 port is used by McAfee.
The ports used in the machine are:

I already tried 8080, 8090, 9090, 8070... and the answer was always - The 8081 port is in use. This error is for any port that I try configure in the OracleXE-install.iss file.

If it's a 3rd party app you may need to go into Settings and give the app permission to view and sync with the contacts. Go to Settings > general > restrictions and choose 'Enable Restrictions.' Then go down to 'Contacts' and make sure that the app you installed is turned off so that it has access to your contacts.
