Install Muse trial - Not...

I downloaded Muse  Tryout over a month ago and didn't run it, while I dug around finding tuts and tried to get up to speed - before getting into the 30 days limit.
Now when I want to actually begin in earnest – it accepts my login, but then throws a warning: " An unexpected error occurred processing your request. Please try again later."
Would you recommend I wait and wait and try and so forth, or uninstall Muse and ditch the OOBE file as suggested in the previous blogger and reinstall - or am I liable to be in a perpetual loop?
THNX for anything.

Hello Pragne,
It will be best to remove the OOBE and MBLStore and try again.
Make sure to close all Adobe applications before starting the steps to resolve this.
For you reference here are the locations for the OOBE and MBLStore folders:
Windows:
"%APPDATA%/../Local/Adobe/OOBE"
"%APPDATA%/../Local/Adobe/MBLStore"
Mac:
"~/Library/Application Support/OOBE"
"~/Library/Application Support/MBLStore"
In both situations get rid of the double quotes for this to work.
From experience I can tell you that removing Muse from "Programs and Features" in Windows or from "Appications" on Mac did solve the problem for me.
I hope this will help you sort the issue.

    ESpeakers,
We tried the exact same scenario on several machines running Windows 8 (x64) but we did not face this error. Can you please do the following to help us diagnose the specific issue on your Windows 8 system:
Launch the Windows Task Manager and click on the button labeled "Show processes from all users".
Ensure no invisible process by the name of PDApp.exe is running. If found, kill it.
Please place a blank file named asu.trace in %TEMP% folder
Launch Adobe Application Manager and launch the installation of Muse. Wait for the failure.
Check for the existence of the following files, zip them up and attach them in a private message (PM) to me. When you send me a PM, the website will allow you to upload an attachment.
    %TEMP%\PDApp.log

  • FrameMaker 10 Trial not installing Acrobat PDF Creator

Hi, I am trying to install the Trial Edition of FrameMaker 10 on a Windows 7 PC, for evaluation.
The installation of FM10 completes, however PDF Creator 10 is not installed even though I select for it to be done.  I would guess that there should be a separate installer process run by the main FM10 installer, to install PDF Creator 10.  This never happens.
There are no error messages from the install program, but when I check the installer log I find:
Testing dependency: Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 10 with relationship Recommended
Adding failed payload to recommended list
    and
Checking operation result for {AC76D478-1033-0000-3478-000000000005} Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 10 10.0.0.0
Recording dependent operation failure for payload: {A6828F8A-83D7-4fff-B763-F69122BB1D74} Adobe FrameMaker 10_AdobeFrameMaker10.0.1_en_US 10.0.1.0
    and
DW050: The following payload errors were found during install:
    DW050:  - Adobe PDF Creation Add-On 10: Install failed
I understand that attempting to install Adobe products is problematic if previous versions are present on the machine, so I took great care to remove all traces of previous installs of Acrobat etc. before starting.
Please could someone from Adobe assist? I would like to evaluate FM10 with PDF Creator 10 but am unable to due to the buggy installer.
Note: What makes this even more frustrating is that running the installer for PDF Creator on its own gives the message 'Cannot Install Alone, Please Run Installer for FrameMaker'!

    Hi,
Could you please confirm if you already have Adobe Acrobat/ Adobe RoboHelp installed on your machine, if so the add on might not be installed as the componenets required to create a PDF (under Adobe PDF creation Add on) might be already installed there?
Just do a test to confirm if the PDF creation functionality is working fine--
    Launch FrameMaker
    Create a Dummy Document
    Select File save as PDF
Verify if you get a PDF file created at the chosen location?
    Good Luck!
    Thanks,
    Anjaneai

    Thanks.

I stumbled upon the solution. In addition to downloading Creative Cloud, I needed to go back to the website and  download trials for the programs I want to use--Photoshop and Lightroom. Once I did that, I was in business. Would save trouble if that was made clear on the download site.
    Thanks

  • Installed XI trial and it's not letting me use it.  It's still asking for payment.

Installed XI trial and it's not letting me use it.  It's still asking for payment.  I don't want to spend $200 on a product that I have no idea if it has the capability to do what I need it to do.  I need to edit adobe documents. No I don't have the original documents.  I'm downloading the docs offline as that is how I was told to retrieve them. It says they are adobe files but when I click "Save As" it automatically is saving them as .htm.  However, staying focused, they are adobe docs.

Sounds like you are using the browser's Save As feature.  You need to
either use the Adobe Reader plugin's Save feature
or download the docs directly by right-clicking on the PDF links

I recently installed the trial version of Adobe XI and the trial period ended, so I wanted to revert back to the version I already had. I did not see any uninstall feature and my old version was apparently replaced by the trial version. I cannot re-install a previous version b/c I need both a product Id (GOd only knows where that is now) and a way to uninstall the trial. Any ideas?

When you installed the trial, there should have been an option to have ignored your current installation and leave it. Apparently you skipped that case. To uninstall the trial (in Windows) go to Control Panel>Programs & Features and select the Acrobat XI and choose uninstall. After the uninstall run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html to clean up your system. HOWEVER, if you see your old Acrobat in that window, do not run the cleaner, but do a repair on the old version.
You did not mention the old version you had. You might try from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. As for the S/N, you should have register and if so you can get it from Adobe. The instructions are at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html#adobeproductdownload.
Be sure to backup any download of the old installer and the S/N to CD or backup HD for future use. They will not likely continue to be available.

    Hi Alistair,
Can you please elaborate on the issue or help us with a screenshot?
Please check your firewall settings or try the following steps :
    Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
    Launch Creative Cloud

  • Why is Photoshop Elements 10 trial not installing?

I went to the older software page, installed File 1 (Photoshop Elements 10), but I can't install File 2. An error message shows up, something along the lines of "all files must be stored in the same folder", etc. I am not a computer genius. I am getting very tired of Adobe's complicated procedures - I have spent well over 5 hours today struggling to find any shred of help on the site (my chat was never answered, either) and now that I finally find the installation files, I am let down once again.
All i am trying to do is transfer Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from my old laptop to my new one. I don't understand why installing a trial and entering a serial number is so difficult.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I downloaded them into the same folder, and once that was done, I did as you said and opened PhotoshopElements_10_LS15.exe. It asked for my serial number and everything, seemed as though it was installing, and asked to restart in order to complete the process. I restarted the computer, and...I don't see Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 anywhere. There is a folder on my desktop that goes by the name of Photoshop Elements 10, but it only contains data files and things that I can't use. It's not the actual software....
    What should I do?

uninstall any acrobat and reader versions, if you have win os clean (Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs) and then install acrobat std.
