  • Found a new Amavis-Stats 0.1.19

    I have found (through Google search) a new Amavis-Stats version 0.1.19 A2
    http://downloads.topicdesk.com/amavis_stats/amavis-stats-0.1.19.tar.gz
    I tried to install it but it keeps indicating (after the ./configure) that it could not find "lrrd". I am assuming that means RRDtool Library. RRDtool 1.2.12 is intalled or Amavis-Stats 0.1.18 would not be currently installed.
    Any suggestions, recommendations?

  • Amavis-stats fails on making php portion

    Hello,
    I installed RRDTool the other day and decided to give amavis-stats a try.
    If I use ./configure by itself, my output includes these relevant bits:
    <pre class="command" style="line-height: normal;">Checking if building PHP module
    checking for rrdtool support... no
    using user: www
    using group: www
    verifying by netinfo: yes
    OS: darwin8.10.1
    Perl Binary: /usr/bin/perl
    Perl Version: 5.8.6
    Perl setrgid: no
    Startup Item: no
    PHP module: no
    </pre>
    Now, I'm unsure if I need the PHP bit, but I have GD installed and the latest PHP installed with some other add-ons successfully, and I was a bit concerned with supposed lack of rrdtool support, so I update the configure command as follows:
    <pre class="command">./configure --with-rrdtool</pre>
    This gives me a bit more substantial output:
    <pre class="command">Checking if building PHP module
    checking for rrdtool support... yes
    checking for PHP prefix... /usr
    checking for PHP includes... -I/usr/include/php -I/usr/include/php/main -I/usr/include/php/TSRM -I/usr/include/php/Zend
    checking for PHP extension directory... /usr/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429
    checking for rrdtool header files in default path... found in /usr/local/rrdtool/include
    checking for rrdtool library files in default path... found in /usr/local/rrdtool/lib
    checking rrdtool version... 1.0.x
    using user: www
    using group: www

    OS: darwin8.10.1
    Perl Binary: /usr/bin/perl
    Perl Version: 5.8.6
    Perl setrgid: no
    Startup Item: no
    PHP module: yes
    </pre>
    However, with this latter configure command, the make command fails at the php part with:
    <pre class="command">Making all in php
    ../php/rrdtool.c: In function 'zifrrdgraph':
    ../php/rrdtool.c:184: error: too few arguments to function 'rrd_graph'
    make[2]: * [rrdtool.lo] Error 1
    make[1]: * [all-recursive] Error 1
    make: * [all] Error 2</pre>
    Is this because I am missing the PHP-rrdtool module? Is the amavis-stats installer attempting to compile and install it for me? Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might try?
    It's an Intel box, 10.4.10, php 4.4.7 rebuilt after the 10.4.10 update, RRDTool 1.2.23. Anything else relevant?
    P.S. Anyone else think the boards functionality has been really downhill recently? I can't preview posts. It seems to remove any line that begins with a space. The <pre> tag is double spaced... Yech!!!!

    Your best bet is to submit a bug report here:
    http://osx.topicdesk.com/contact/
    amavis-stats is maintained by Dale and he is pretty much the only one knowing all about it.
    I know it can be configured to use a PHP embedded RRDtool or the command line RRDTool.

  • Amavis-stats & 10.5.2

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me if there is a compatible version of amavis-statis with 10.5.2?
    When I install it I am getting an error message:

    I am running version 9.2.0
    Thanks heaps in advance.
    Cheers
    Ben

    I had this happen to me too. For some reason the Boot preferences got messed up with the update and the Air didn't know what to boot from.
    I powered down the Air, then while holding down the <option> key, hit the power switch and waited for the Air to boot up. Keep holding the <option> key and it'll eventually mine booted up to the grey screen, then I was able to select between the HD and a Netboot over WiFi (choose the HD) and then it booted to the Apple logo with the progress indicator. The Air then rebooted (this update causes a double reboot) and on the second reboot could not find the a bootable disk. I forced a power down, and then performed the same <option> key hold down power up so I could select the HD again. This time, it booted fully into OS X 10.5.2
    I then went into the System Preferences and made sure the internal HD was selected as a boot device.
    I played around a bit and made sure things were all working well, ran Disk Utility and verified the HD and repaired permissions.
    I then noticed there was a Graphics Update in Software Update (requires a reboot). I decided to guts it and apply the update, upon rebooting, there was no need to hit the <option> key, it rebooted as expected/normally.
    I'm not sure how long you tried holding down the <option> key, but keep holding it down, it eventually worked for me. I'm not sure if selecting the Startup Drive in System Preferences before the subsequent update/reboot fixed things or that by successfully rebooting once things fixed themselves. But this is what I did to get things back to normal.
    Good luck,
    Dave

  • Can I install a solid state drive in my CQ62-215DX

    I need to replace my hard drive in my laptop and I'm curious first on whether or not I can install a solid state drive in this laptop and if so, are there any recommendations?

    Hi,
    Yes you can, SSD's are much cheaper now. You can buy from the following reliable vendor, it guaranties its products will work:
        http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Presario+CQ62+Series/Presario+CQ62-215DX-upgrades....
    You can buy from 120Gb to 960Gb. I bought one Crucial 960Gb last week but from Amazon

  • Need help running amavis-stats

    After some initial trouble, I managed to get amavis-stats running (thanks Dale).
    Right off the bat though I'm getting things like:
    No statistics available.
    No statistics available.
    No statistics available.
    Generated by using command-line rrdtool
    amavis-stats::error: No viruses/IDs seen.
    amavis-stats::error: No viruses/IDs seen.
    amavis-stats::error: No viruses/IDs seen.
    Images don't load and there's nothing that looks like a RRD file in /usr/local/var/lib/amavis-stats, only 4 "amavis-stats.*" files. Also, /usr/local/var/cache/amavis-stats is empty.
    Looks simple. Permissions issue? Those two directories are both owned by www:www.
    Everything in amavis-stats.conf looks right. I don't have enough experience with amavis-stats to know how it normally behaves. What else should I be looking for?

    Did restart.
    This is 10.4.8 Server. amavis-stats is 0.1.22, RRDTool is 1.2.15, amavis is amavisd-new-2.2.0. Stock configuration otherwise.

  • Should I install a Solid State Drive..?

    Hello I am editing and rendering HD 1080p and sometimes 4k video from an XD Cam in Final Cut Pro 7 running on a 17" 2011 MacBook pro i7 2.2ghz, 8GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM with 720GB 5400rpm Hard Drive. the video is captured on an external 2TB Hard Drive connected via Fire Wire 800. What I would like to know will it be worth me installing a OCZ Vertex 4 512GB SATA 3 Solid State Drive inside my computer and putting 16 GB of RAM in. will it make a difference in the performance of quality, rendering times and other functions on my software and video I output to Blu-Ray..? remembering that the video is coming from the fire wire 800 drive and going back on there until I burn it to blu-ray. Would I need to set my scratch disk to my SSD to see any benefits of having a SSD instead of a normal HDD. Cheers Danny.

    Why not use a Thunderbolt drive? Adding ram isn't going to help but won't hurt. FCP 7 address only a max of 4 GIGs of ram. Your weakest link is the 5400 rpm drive.
    I'm thinking about getting 2 Thunderbolt drives. One for the System OS and the other for media storage.

  • Mac OS X will not install as it states Mac HD is used for Time Machine backups?

    I'm not sure what is happening?! I wanted to connect my new wireless trackpad but could not as my mac said I needed 10.6 or later. I checked my mac which I thought had snow leopard on but it states it has 10.5.8? I am now trying to re-load mac OS X from my disc as it states it is 10.6 but it will not load as the installer gets to a point where it states that the Macintosh HD is used for Time Machine backups and consequently will not move on to the next stag? Now I cannot even get out of installing or eject the disc! Can anyone help with what I am doing wrong? VMT

    The installer won't load on any HD that contains a Backups.backupdb (used for Time Machine/Backup) folder on it.  If the backup isn't in use, delete that folder and 10.6 will install.

    The url is wrong.  That is not a tarball, it is an html file.
    Edit: unless you have a better link, it looks like the source needs to be downloaded manually from the site.
    Edit2: after manually downloading the tarball, it "built" fine.  I did run into an issue of running out of space on my /tmp partition while compressing it though.  The pkg is over 1GB.
    Removing the no longer needed tarballs and running `makepkg -ef` fixed that issue.
    Also note, that this PKGBUILD should be modified.  All the work here should be moved to the "install" function rather than the "build" function as there is nothing to build.
    WARNING: after futzing with that I thought I'd install it to see what the game was.  It is a "trial version only" of a program that, at least in my case, failed miserably, but only after changing my video mode.  Egh, that goes right in the bit bucket.

  • Can I install a Solid State Drive (SSD) on a P6510f

    I have a HP p6510f computer.  I need to know if I can purchase a 120 gig SSD drive and use it as my PRIMARY drive and use the 750 gig as a slave.  I've read a few links about changing the BIOS setting but have not seen a solution.
    I do not want to go out and buy one if it does not work.  I currently have 16 gigs of ram and upgrade the 250 watt power supply to a 500 watt power supply.
    I want to do some video editing (already changed the video card to an ATI 6850).
    What is the best way to speed up my hard drive for video editing?

    Hi:
    You should be able to, as long as you get one that comes with an 3.5" adapter to connect to the drive bay.
    Below is the link to the service manual. It appears that there are two drive bays in the cage.  Just ensure you have another SATA power lead.
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01859455.pdf
    As far as configuring, check to see that the storage controller can be set to AHCI.
    If it can't, then set it to RAID.
    I have no idea what port you connect the 750 GB drive to, looking at the motherboard diagram.  Look at the port that the boot drive is currently connected to and it should be labeled on the motherboard. Normally SATA 0.  You will want to connect the secondary drive to the SATA port with the next corresponding number such as SATA 1.
    You will not be able to use recovery disks to install W7 as a 120 GB drive is much smaller than the drive that you are using now, so you will need to install W7 using this method:
    Copy the SWSetup folder from your C:\ drive to a portable storage device.
    That contains all of the program and driver installation files that came with your PC, and you can explore the sub-folders and reinstall whatever programs you want. All should be there except office 2010 starter.
    If you can read the 25 character Microsoft windows 7 product key, you can download plain Windows 7 ISO files to burn to a DVD for the version of windows that came installed on your PC, and that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC's case.
    Burn the ISO using the Burn ISO option on your DVD burning program and burn at the slowest possible speed your program will allow. This will create a bootable DVD.
    Or use the Windows 7 USB/DVD installation tool to compile the ISO file you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB method of compilation.

    Use the 25 character product key on the PC to activate the installation.
    The key will activate either a 32 or 64 bit installation.
    Then go to the PC's support and driver page to install the drivers you need.
    Link to the W7 ISO file downloads is below.

  • Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra - cannot install firmware - PC states device "not connected&qu

    Hi everyone,?Below is a message I've just sent to Customer Support, but I thought I'd also post it here in case anyone has any words of wisdom. Thanks in advance for your help. -- - Dear Madam or Sir,?Yesterday, I tried to connect my Zen Xtra to my PC to transfer some songs from Windows Media Player . WMP produced an error message stating that my PC had a driver for my Zen Xtra which is not supported by WMP. [This was the first time I had tried to Sync my Zen Xtra with WMP.]?I visited www.creative.com and tried to install the latest firmware for my Zen Xtra. The installation of the firmware froze and remained frozen for over an hour. Now the only thing that my Zen Xtra displays is Rescue Mode v.3. I cannot install any firmware at the moment, because the installation wizard keeps stating that my Zen Xtra is not connected to my PC. However, it IS connected and Windows XP detects it up as a "portable storage device." I have completely uninstalled all Creative products on my PC and reinstalled them using my original installation CD, but this has not helped matters. I cannot find any helpful articles in your Knowledge Base. I would be very grateful if you could provide some assistance in this matter. I have had several years of excellent usage from my Zen Xtra and I am extremely annoyed by this latest development. Not only did the firmware upgrade process require me to delete all the data on my Zen Xtra, but now I seem to have a device which is not functioning at all. Many thanks.

    I am having the same problem. Seems like to me creative and many of these other companies leave it for people like ya'll to figure out what is wrong with their OWN product LOL? I am having the same exact problem with my 30gb. Guess I will try what you guys and gals said to do and if no luck then would someone please let me know when there is a class action:smileyvery-happy:? I think it's about time companies became more responsible for their actions. Thank you all for figuring it out. I hope this works for mine. I think you all should send Creative a bill for figuring out their problem. I certainly will NEVER buy another Creative product again. i-Pod here i come
