Install on mobile intel 965 express family chipset

can i install windows 10 technical preview on mobile intel 965 express family chipset

Not very likely.  It's an old and obsolete chipset and Intel has ended support of it with Windows 7.  The latest drivers are almost 6 years ago.

  • Using Dell Latitude D630 with Intel 965 Express Chipset with Adobe CS6 Photoshop 3D features

    Hello,
    Here is my configuration:
    - I am using Windows 7, 4-bit OS
    - Dell Latitude D630, which comes with Intel Mobile 965 Express Chipset and Accelleration Drivers.
    - If I press CTRL-ALT-F12, I can see the Intel Graphics Media Acccelerator Driver GUI.  There are 3D settings
configuration, which are labelled with OpenGL, and a bunch of values that can flipped on and off.  So, I have some
warm fuzzy that OpenGL is enabled on my systme.
    - When I look at the details of the driver, it says 9/23/2009, driver version 8.15.10.1930.  If I attempt to update
driver,  and select search automatically, "Windows determined the driver software for your device is up to date".
So, this gives me some warm fuzzy that I'm on the latest driver.
When I open up PhotoShop CS6, and click on Edit->Preferences->Performance, Detected Graphics processor
is grayed out and I am told that I need to upgrade either my driver or my card.  Well, I'm on a laptop so that might
    be an issue.
My driver seems to support OpenGL, so is there some configuration thing I can do to get Photoshop to recognize my
video accelerator to make this work?   Or am I out of luck with using 3D and accelerated features with this laptop?

I did try to go through the Intel driver upgrade process.
Visited http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu (Intel Driver update Utility) with IE.
Detected my graphics drivers and indicated that:
    Product Detected
    Intel® GM965
                    Current Driver Installed
                    8.15.10.1930
    Your driver is current.
So, nothing useful there.   What I find puzzling is the when I hit CTRL-ALT-F12 and click on 3D settings, there
are plenty of configuraiton choices for OpenGL, with many settings being Off.   So, I was hoping that either (a)
there is some combination of choices with these OpenGL options to enable enough of it so that Photoshop CS6 3D features
would work, or (b) maybe registry settings to hack at to "enable" OpenGL or some way of getting Adobe software to try to
rediscover the accelleration support once I change the settings.

  • Intel 965 chipset, VGA to s-video

I have a Lenovo T61 with an Intel 965 Express chipset. It has no s-video out and i was wondering if I could buy a vga to s-video cable or if I would have to buy a converter box. I am told my graphics card will support TV output but I have not been able to get it working.

Hi snoboardin70, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!
You will need a converter box to go from VGA to S-video. Search the community and you'll find several discussions about this.
    I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

  • Does Intel GM45 Express Chipset support DirectX11 with Win 7

will Mobile Intel GM45 Express Chipset support DirectX new version 11 for Windows 7 ?
    thnx,

    Hi
I found this Intel page and there you can find this info:
the highest level of Microsoft Windows Aero experience with enabled DX 10 support
    http://www.intel.com/products/notebook/chipsets/gm45/gm45-overview.htm
It seems that this chipset supports DirectX 10 and lower.
PS: The DirectX 11 is available in Win 7 but its matter of graphic card if DirectX11 would be supported

  • Intel HM77 Express/C210 Series Chipset using eSATA port multiplier

I have just purchased a Zotac Nano computer which uses Intel HM77 Express chipset and has an eSATA port. I was surprised to notice my 8-bay hard disk enclosure did not work on this machine. I have read online that the Intel chipset supports eSATA port multipler in hardware but that the Windows drivers do not have it supported. However, some reports are that it should work under Linux.
Does anyone have any idea about getting the on-board eSATA port to work with port multipliers?
    Many thanks,
    Graham

Acquiring from GigE Vision Cameras with Vision Acquisition Software - Part I
    http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5651/en
Compares the Universal to High performance driver,
specifically both provide the same max bandwidth of 125MB but the high performance driver takes advantage of the intel pro1000 chipset to offload some of the CPU load, again this is less important as processors become faster.
    "Advantages
While the high performance driver provides better CPU performance compared to the universal driver, it will only work on Gigabit Ethernet cards with the Intel Pro 1000 chipset. The universal driver can work on any Gigabit Ethernet card recognized by the Operating System. CPU usage during acquisition will affect the CPU cycles available for image analysis. So if your application requires in-line processing, it is better to invest in a Gigabit Ethernet card with the Intel Pro 1000 chipset like the NI PCIe-8231. While your choice of driver affects the CPU usage, it does not limit the maximum bandwidth possible. Either driver will be able to achieve the maximum bandwidth of 125 MB/s."

As to your editing of 'vga' to 'xf86-video-intel': you should replace it with 'intel'. There are many, many sample xorg.conf's out there that use the intel driver, so google is your friend.

You can specify the amount of videoram in xorg.conf and you need to add the 1280*800 resolution to it too. That's all I had to do to get it to work on my father's laptop.
    Zl.

  • Right, MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(Built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G not working, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III.

My MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G are not working together, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III and in my MacBook Pro it does not work.
Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please.

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

  • Intel finds Sandy Brigde chipset design flaw

    Hello!
This is my first post at Apple forum, and my first post with new MBP 13''.
I was searching for some news about new MacBook Pro (2011) and I found this:
    http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/31/intel-finds-sandy-bridge-chipset-design-flaw- shipments-stopped/
I am a little worried because I bought the new model of macbook pro and I'm searching for some informations about it. I have checked the Intel website and I came across this situation
    http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/processors/chipset.htm
Do I have this problem? And if so how can I contact someone to help me solve this?
    Should I be worried?
    Best regards,
    Renato Baptista

You don't have this issue. Even if you did it wouldn't affect the laptops anyway as it only affects SATA ports 3 and upwards.
    From the second article:
    ====
    Q: What is the issue?
A: Under normal operation, Intel® 6 Series Express Chipsets have an issue that may impact SATA ports 2-5. Contact your system manufacturer for more information.
    ====
Your laptop only has 2 ports - 0 and 1.

  • Equium P300-19O - How to install the newest Intel graphic driver

same problem as this guy ( http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=36626&tstart=0 )
tryed never display drivers from intel and for other laptops but none will install via the main exe file or through device manager.
if any one knows of a newer driver that works then a link would be helpfull.
    thanks

i found the only way to update the driver is to go into the device manerger and right click the intel 965 and click uninstall.
once uinstalled i restarted the laptop then went back to the device manager to update the driver from the folder i downloaded and extracted the new driver from.
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2800&OS FullName=Windows+Vista*+Home+Premium%2C+32-bit+version&lang=eng&strOSs=153&submit=Go%21
(above is for vista 32bit premium)
you want to download the zip file intended for use by Developers so all the bits are already extracted for it to update as the exe version wouldn't work for me.

  • Z77A GD-65: Windows 7 not installing/running with Intel SATA controller.

I've been having some weird issues with the Intel SATA controllers on-board. They won't let me install Windows at all. I'm using a Crucial m4 with the 0309 firmware.
When I was trying to install Windows with the SSD connected to the Intel SATA controller, installation would always fail sometime around the "Completing Installation" segment. I tried ACHI mode, IDE mode, nothing worked.
So I decided to try hooking up my SSD to the ASMedia controller instead, despite that being advised against. Windows was able to install and run fine on that connection. After that, I installed all of Intel's chipset drivers and all the updates available for Windows, hoping it would resolve the problem.
Then, I connected the SSD to the Intel port again. Now I get a BSOD every time I try to start windows, even though it has drivers for the chipset available.
I'm really upset by this... it seems like I'm going to have to settle for inferior SATA 6 performance just so I can run Windows. :(

Quote from: Warner on 24-May-12, 03:58:56
You can't install OS with ASMEDIA port, and then switch to Intel port.
So basically, if I can't get it to install on the Intel port, I'm stuck using the other one... well, the performance isn't optimal, but I guess it's acceptable as a failsafe. Better than nothing.
    Quote
Try doing a new installation based on the Intel port, load Intel driver on HDD screen, and proceed.
What Intel driver do I need, and how do I load it during Windows installation?

  • Intel's integrated graphics chipsets

Im considering about intel's  integrated graphics chipsets. I have dedicated ati radeon mobility hd5650 graphics card. My processor is 1st generation intel core i5. All intel processors have built-in graphics chipsets like (intel hd2000, or lower configuration)??? If they are how can i disable my ati card and start using intel's built-in graphics chipset?

I have the same setup (first generation i5, Radeon 5650).  Here is how I do it:
    1. Mount debugfs in /etc/fstab (to get the vgaswitcheroo directory needed later)
    2. Black list the radeon driver in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf
    3. If using an xorg.conf file, make sure the intel driver is used
    4. (Using KDE) I have a script in ~/.kde4/Autostart called ati-off that contains the following
    sudo modprobe radeon
    sudo sh -c "echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch"
The last step is necessary because if the radeon card is not enabled and shut off with VGA switcheroo, it will still consume power and make the laptop temperature rise.
I don't know if all these steps are currently necessary -- I set it up like this probably 18 months ago and haven't changed it since.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.
    For example:
    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed?  Installing will not complete.

    Hi Balmukund!
Thanks for your help.  I did rename both folders to a generic name (rename_folder_1 & rename_folder_2) and the install failed again.  Did I rename the folders in a correct manner?  Below is a copy of the user.config file referenced in
your post above.  Any additional direction would be very helpful.
    Thanks!
