Help with oracle 10g install on solaris x86

hi, i downloaded solaris 10 from oracle site (sol-10-u8-ga-x86-dvd.iso) and i have installed it on vmware. i was going through the installation guide for oracle 10 for solaris x86 and while on the pre-installation steps, i issued this command
# /bin/isainfo -kv
and it gave me
# 64-bit amd64 kernel modules
instead of
# 32-bit i386 kernel modules
as the guide expected.
please what can i do, cos the guide says if i dont see the later, the installation cannot complete.

First check you Operating System Bit information whether it is 64 or 32 bit , for this first check any of the command path
Example ls command
$ which ls
/usr/sbin/ls
$ file /usr/sbin/ls
It will show you whether your OS is 64 bit or 32 bit and accordingly download the software from below link ,if it is showing 64 bit os then you have to download 64 bit database software .

Install error for Oracle 10g on Solaris x86 64-bit. NETCA won't run

Hi All,
I'm installing Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Solaris x86 64-bit. I run the Oracle installer and all runs well until the NETCA portion of the install. It then errors (error file below). When i attempt to run NETCA outside of the installer i'm getting the same error output. I have verified my OS version and that all dependent packages are installed. I'm not sure what is causing this. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

it works, but char-special-files in /devices are missed:
display(nvidia), audio, nid (e1000g) mybe more
what did i wrong??
btw: i tried twice the DVD distribution, does NOT work
(at least on this sys) the CD dist is OK.

1)I am going to try the export/import option using P6 professional client. Could you please let me know whether I be able to copy all the data from existing DB to the new EPPMDB using this method ?
Everything related with the projects, but not related with the application, you can't export layouts, users, privileges, user preferences, etc in the xer files.
2)I followed the manual upgrade procedure and then installed P6 once again. This time, the configuration tool accepted the DB and completed the deployment.
But nothing seems to work except the weblogic admin application. (http://server:7001/console). All other URLs (P6, PR etc.) are showing 'page cannot be displayed', even though the status of all the applications is 'Running' in the weblogic admin
Well, in my experience I know that is not possible to upgrade from PPM to EPPM because the database schemas are differents. I don't know how you did it.... It seems that your issue with the web applications is a different issue and not related with the database, because of the error: 'page cannot be displayed' is related to the web applications and not related with your database issue. I believe that you are trying to say that the managed server are running (server tab) and the applications should be in "active" status,right?
3)Do you think I can migrate the entire DB following the above guide to version 8.2, instead of doing the export import.
that guide is to upgrade from a eppm database to a eppm database. I'm almost sure that upgrade from ppm to eppm will give you more issues.
You can check if your database is ok, runing the validate.bat file (in the media folder) and also you can test your database using the EPPM P6 windows client, instead of P6 web access, for test purposes only.

I have had the same problem for WEEKS and I cannot access any sites that use Flash. Flash has been installed on this computer since I bought it in 2012. I have allowed auto updates but for weeks the updates never get past Step 2 - is this because I do NOT want the Google Tool bar? I use NO tool bars as there is only 6 inches of vertical screen space. Is this because I uncheck wanting Chrome as a default browser? It is already installed, I just don't use it. I came to this site and ran the check is it installed and the system says it is either not installed or not enabled. Version 14 just downloaded about 30 minutes ago - but did not progress to Step 3 although a pop up screen came up with a finish button, which I clicked. WHAT is the problem and how do I fix it? If this were just a compatibility bug between IE11 and Adobe they have had plenty of time to fix it.

Can you please check the value of the registry entries at the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
In case the values for any of the entries (i.e. Common AppData, Common Desktop, Common Documents etc.) is referencing to E:\, change the value back to look something like below and you should be good to go.

Help with Video Card Install on Solaris 8

I have a video card with nvidia4 chipset. After installing solaris 8 on my system I get a screen that is too big to fit on the monitor, so I have to scroll down to see everything. Plus it displays 16 colors. I tried to install the FreeBSD drivers that are availble on the nvidia site but could not run "make" command. Anyone know how to solve this?

1. Install the latest Solaris 8 x86 video driver patch109401-14

This may add native support for your nvidia chipset. If it doesn't,
then you have the option to try the new VESA driver which is
included with this patch as well - the VESA driver is supposed to work
on all cards that have the necessary VESA support bios routines.
2. Install the "Solaris XFree86 Video Drivers and Porting Kit"

It adds support for many video cards by using XFree 4.2.0 video
driver modules. It also includes another variant of the VESA driver.

I am running Windows Vista Home Basic (32-Bit)
I have used iTunes for years, while owning various iPods and an iPhone 3g.
Today I bought an iPhone 4 and came home looking to immediately update to iOS 5, while installing I got this error:
After searching around, I decided to uninstall all Apple programs and reinstall starting at iTunes 9.
I also ran Windows update and everything is up to par.
I still recieve the same error, please help!
