Install on twin monitors - impossible to maximise on screen 2
Just installed Premiere Elements 7 (and photoshop elements 7).
Have twin monitors and want to display on screen 2 as is bigger screen. Can move to that screen but impossible to adjust program size - drag handles do not work and maximize leaves as same size as smaller screen.
Both programs are the same. All other programs maximise to larger screen without issue so am guessing this is unique to these programs.
how do i get them to maximise to 2nd monitor?

I'm only trying to use / maximise it on one screen at a time, on Monitor 1 (prime) all works fine. On monitor 2 (secondary) none of the resize or maximize functions work.
These work fine with all Office applications, Dreamweaver and all other windows programs.
As an experiment I changed the monitor order, they work as expected on the primary monitor, whichever is selected, but fail on the secondary, again whichever is expected.
The problem clearly lies with these particular bits of software.

I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? I have a new MAC MINI and I want to install a second monitor. I have one connected to the HDMI and it works. I can't get a signal to the other one. It is connected from the thunderbolt to its HDMI port. How can I make it work?

Processing time has slowed to a crawl since install of ViewSonic monitor.
All processing functions have slowed to a crawl since I installed a ViewSonic monitor VX2270Smh-LED. The system recognized the monitor immediately. It is connected through the Mini-DVI port on the MacBook Pro and through an adapter to the DVI port on the monitor. I have the displays configured as one very wide monitor so I can move windows back and forth. It doesn't seem to matter what I am working on, browser, spreadsheet, email, every command results in the spinning wheel.
Have looked for a driver for the ViewSonic but they don't make them. Is there something available with Apple that will help this?To isolate whether the monitor is really the culprit I would run a benchmark without the monitor connected and with.
You should rely on the numbers from the benchmark to tell whether there is a difference. Perception can be a very dicey thing.

I want to install a mac monitor to a Dell Latitude PC. I bought a VDI to VGA adapter but it still won't activate.
Easiest thing I found was to manually expand any open window you're dealing with; including a webpage. To do this look at the bottom right hand corner of the window pane itself. Just below the Up and Down scrolling arrows is a corner with 3 diagonal lines. Grab that and drag in the direction (up, down, right, left, diagonal) that resizes the window to meet your needs. Once you've done this the size will be remembered when you open the window in the future. I've learned Apple doesn't like "full screen" mode. Just as well since filling the screen with an open application hides anything else you have open. And the Dock doesn't highlight or display the open Apps. Hint: I've learned to use the F3 key a lot. That way I can see everything that I've opened and change applications.

In the config file i changed [databasename & databaseuser] from capital letters to small letters

I was using the newest version on OSX 10.7.5 and I was in full screen mode and viewing a photo and it was impossible to exit full screen. This happened at 11:03pm on Friday April 12, 2013. I deleted this from my apps and then deleted iphoto from my purchases in macbook app store the search it the app store and it says it has still been installed. What can I do to fix it?
Well deleting it from your machine was not the way to go.
Deleting it from your Purchases List was definitely not the way to go.
So, I'm not really sure how you're going to reinstall it.
But figure that out and we can try help. Contact App Store support. There's a link on the right hand side of the App Store Window. They should be able to get it back on your purchases list so you can reinstall it. -

There are no drivers available for Windows 8. I suggest checking in the Control Panel/Sound/Recording to assure that your microphone is selected. It seems that the Sound is one area that gets changed when updating to Win 8.1. At least, this is what happened to me.

My large monitor is not showing the screen of my MAC airbook on it. All cables are hooked up. I reset the pram per the instructions I received at the MAC store and the monitor is still not working. Message on blacked out monitor says"check signal cable". All cables are attached and monitor and MAC are both plugged into power source...Help ?
Go to System Preferences, Display. Click on dectect displays.

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
