If I already have a CS6 program installed on my computer, should I select "update" or "install" from the CC download options?

Updating to CS6 will install the patches/bug fixes for CS6 however to install the CC version you need to select install within the CC desktop.
Note: To update CS6 perpetual license please launch any of the CS6 application/Go to help and select update instead of updating for CC desktop interface as CC desktop is designed for the subscription model.

The iPod is brand new, sent to me by Apple as part of the 1st gen replacement programme. I've been using the cable that came with the 1st gen iPod (I bought the first gen second hand) It always worked on my computer with the 1st gen iPod. So I was wondering, do you think I need to replace my cable in order for my PC to recognize my iPod or is it something else?

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

After the last update for OSX 10.9.5, I get messages stating that I need to re-install the update because it did not install properly - How do I do this

On September 24, I got a message from the App Store saying there was an update of the Operating System on my MacBookPro laptop - OS X 10.9.5 - once I updated it, I got a message saying that there was an error in the update and that it did not install properly and that I should re-install the update. You can manually download the Combo update if in doubt of the integrity of the OS 10.9.5
install on top of what you have, backups are always a good idea.

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. While the phone is off try this:http://vz.to/1DZhXkU Be mindful this is the last resort because it will erase everything on the phone. I could find the answer after searching previous posts about this language problem.
Had to change my language in AAM profile and then download PS CS6 again ( english version ).
Then open the actual Photoshop and in preferences > interface you can besides the Dutch also option for English.
restart application and Voila.

After IOS 8 update, cannot install or update app

As my subject mentioned, after the ios 8 update, i cannot install or update app. I have done everything like calling the tech support, follow their instructions etc.. Some of the things i had done were
Soft reset ipad
Hard reset ipad
logout of itune store and login
delete everything on ipad and restore from itunes.
All these doesn't work and the problem keeps coming back again. This is frustrating that Apple would release an update like this that would break my ipad air. On top of that, quite a lot of app are not working eg zinio, evernote. My ipad air has been in this mode eversince the update release and i had mostly given up to resolve it. For all other ipad owners, if you want to avoid this anguish don't update to ios 8.

LR on your laptop is still a desktop version. It is just now able to upload to the cloud to replicate photos to either http://lightroom.adobe.com/ or an iPad that has LR Mobile installed.
I think you probably just want to change the LR 5 identity plate back so it doesn’t mention LR Mobile all the time. Hover over the identity-plate area, and click on the little triangle that appears, then choose Change Identity Plate.

Issue installing System Update 5.01

Hello all I am having an issue installing System update 5.01. I looked in the logs within the temp directory and it says error 1602 which is user canceled. However, I am not canceling the install. I also tried http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall that didn't work either.
I'm on a T420 with Windows 7 64bit.
Any ideas?

I had similar issues installing 5.01. I believe there is something wrong with the package. Here is how I fixed it:
Download installer from http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=TVSU-UPDATE
Extract package with 7zip
Copy "Lenovo System Update.msi" to "System Update.msi"
Run setup.exe
For some reason the installer was looking for this file and it wasn't there, perhaps running the installer in silent/unattended mode caused it to exit with the code you mentioned.

Can someone please tell me why when I tried installing an update on my iPhone 5 from my computer it "failed" and now my phone has a picture of a plug connecting to an itunes icon and there's nothing I can do to remove it?

My screen is frozen with a picure of a plug trying to connect to an iTunes icon. I can't reboot my phone or sign on to iTunes. When I callmy cell phone number the call goes straight to voice mail! What happened? How do I get rid of the screen on my iPhone? Help please.

There are multiple reasons why the update failed, unless you can provide an error message/code that came up then nodbody will know.
Now your iPhone is in recovery mode and will now need to be connected to a computer with iTunes and restored to factory settings. This will install the update at the same time.
If you have a back up of the iPhone before the issue occurred then after the restore to fqactory settings you can restore the back up to the iPhone. If there was no back up then I'm sorry your data is gone.

Agree with Michael. KB2734608 is applied to the WSUS 3.0 SP2. If we install the WSUS on Windows Server 2012 or later, the version of the WSUS becomes to v6.

After installing recent updates my computer is now killing me

I installed the updates several days and ago---since then my MacBook Pro freezes and am unable to do anything during the freeze. Happens every minute or so and in between I am able to use Safari or other programs. iTunes will stop playing and start up again when the beach ball goes away.   Funny thing is when I am working in CitrixViewer and I can keep on working with no issues.
Problem description:
system keeps hesitating, iTunes will stop though still in play mode, there is a cycle as it happens every minute or two. Beach balls…..

When you get the freezing, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
          SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
          View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.

If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.
It is possible that your security software is using or locking files, so you can try to temporarily disable that software during the installation.

I received notification of ANOTHER iTunes update being available, so I attempted to install the update on my Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. During the update process, two pop-up announced that I had a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" Runtime Error, R6034 and another pop-up that states "iTunes" iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. However, I cannot open iTunes. I get the same pop-up telling me to reinstall iTunes.
I had many songs in my iTunes library that came from sources other than iTunes, mostly my own CDs. Plus, I have nearly $100 credit remaining in the iTunes store. I'm converned I will lose the songs and store credit if I reinstall iTunes. So my questions are:
1. How can I reinstall iTunes?
2. If I reinstall it, will I lose my store credit and non-iTunes songs?

Nothing should be lost... However... it is both Prudent and Recommended that a backup should have been created and maintained.
