Install Photoshop Elements on Desktop and Laptop?

I was under the impresion that you could install Adobe Photoshop Elements on one desktop and one laptop computer within the same household using one license. After installing on my desktop, I installed it on my laptop but after a while my laptop installation said it expired and Photoshop Elemnts no longer opens. What's the real issue here?

Laptop running WinXP SP3 with Photoshop Elements 6.
This morning when I went to use it the program started but the mesage "trial period expired, you must uninstall software" came up. Since then the program will not start at all.
I initially installed the program on my desktop compter where I still use it.

I would like to know if my laptop covers the requirements for me to install it and have the software working flawlessly. I have an Inspiron E1705 laptop with an Intel Core duo processor T2250 @ 1.73GHz 1.73 GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate operating system, ATI Mobility Radeon x1400 graphics, 17" color screen. Yes, PSE will run fine on the machine. The only thing to point out may be that your laptop is having 1 GB of RAM, so sometimes, you would have to be patient for Organizer and Editor to perform their functions while playing with PSE. 2 GB of RAM would have been great...
Bottom line: your laptop config looks fine to install and use PSE. For better performance, you may want to upgrade RAM, that will speed up your other activites on the laptop as well...

I am having problems install Photoshop elements 8.0 and premiere elements 8.0

I have recently received both photoshop elements 8.0 and premiere elements 8.0 and neither will install.
I have gone through (at length!) all the support suggestions e.g. adusting accelaration etc. Absolutley nothing works! I have spent over 4 hours trying to sort this problem which as it is a new product is extemely disappointing. I look for any helpful advice or should I just claim my money back?

I tried downloading the trial version which seems to have gone through. However although i can see lots of new files in a "Premier elements" folder in programs, I cannot see any way to open it. It has not appeared on the programs list and there is no shortcut on the desktop. How am I supposed to access this software?
If this is a trial, you really should make it more user friendly as I am not impressed at all so far.
I have spent over 6 housr now trying to get this sofware to work. If you cannot nwo get this to work, i will return to store and get refund (and use a version of Pinnacle recommended by a friend who has had no problems!
I look forward to an easy and quick resolution.

How do I install Photoshop Elements 7 on a laptop without a CD drive, and the prouduct code comes up as already registered?

I got Elements 7 with a Bamboo tablet a few years back. I installed it on a computer, but have recently gotten a new laptop without a CD drive to insall it with. Upon registering the code given with the CD online, I was told that the product has been registered. I filled out the registration form with the same email as my Adobe account. How do I go about installing it on my new computer?

Transferring will not work. You need to install using installation files and then activate using the serial number from your original installation.

The standard licence allows you to have two active copies of Photoshop Elements.
So you should be able to install it on a second laptop.

You haven't mentioned which version of PSE. If it is PSE 13, that requires a minimum of windows 7.

Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.

A single user license allows for having activated installations on two machines. An Elements license allows for either platform in many cases (recently not the case from what I've seen). If you have the disc, see if it contains the Mac installation files... if it does then you should be able to install them via a download as well. I cannot answer with certainty for the last question since it relies on the previous question. Personally, I would not let an inexpensive piece of software dictate an expensive hardware purchase decision.
