Install plugins & brushes in demo?

I was wondering, are you able to install brushes or any other actions in Photoshop CS5? I tried to install some brushes earlier (I'm using a demo) and the brushes don't show up in the file ... ?

A Plug_in normally come with an installer or install instructions. Check the documentation for the plug-in you trying to install. It sounds like you don't know what plug-ins you want to install. In that case you don't need to install any. At some point you may read about a plug-in and what it can do and feel you have a need for it. Then you will have a reason to install a plug-in that is not installed by default. There may also be a cost involved most worthwhile plug-ins are not free.
Adobe Optional Plug_ins downloads are Plugins Adobe want to remove from Photoshop and no longer install by default. Also at some point in time these will no longer install into the current Photoshop for Adobe will remove feature or interfaces the use. For example the CS5 optional plugins will install in Windows CS6 perpetual version 13.0.1.3 but not in Subscription version 13.1.2 or perpetual Mac version 13.0.6 fot its 64bit only and the Mac CS5 optional plug-in for Picture package is only a 32bit plug-in.
You will need to keep and maintain old versions of Photoshop if Adobe remove features you use in new versions of Photoshop.

What is the correct way to determine the install location of Acrobat/Reader to install plugins?

We were previously using the following registry key to determine where we need to install our Acrobat/Reader plugin.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\%d\InstallPath
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\%d\InstallPath
(and append \plugin_ins to that result)
With Acrobat DC, I no longer see that registry key.
I was planning on changing our code to instead look here to determine the install paths:

Hi Shada this can happen if you are including additional installers to your installer for example DAQmx. When you are doing this the installer has to include other files like MAX (Measuremente and Automation Explorer). Probably when you installed Vision Builder it updated MAX, so when your installer is trying to Include MAX, its asking for the source where it was installed in your computer in this case Vision Builder.
Here you can cache the information so its not asked again, or you can download a newer version fo DAQmx, so it will update MAX and change de dependecy.

I Can't Install Plugins?

Hi,
I can't seem to install plugins. I know that you have to go to: Movies>Motion Templates>Effects. But the problem is that there isn't anything in my Motion Templates folder. Please help me as I kinda need the plugins to be installed.

You haven't installed Motion (you don't need to) or installed templates before... It's not a big issue.
Whatever you lack, you can create. Inside the Motion Templates folder, create the folders: Effects, Generators, Titles, Transitions (make sure they're spelled correctly and case sensitive.)
For Templates to work, they must be installed inside "Categories" which are just another "layer" of folder. You can invent these as well. Try to name your categories something that will help you find the template you're installing. (Categories go inside the main effects folders listed above.)
After you create a category, move the entire effect folder into the category. These template folders contain a Motion file (.moef, .motn, .moti or .motr), two .pngs ("large.png and small.png) and optional .mov file and a Media folder. If any of the required files are missing, the template is likely not to work.
After you place the template in its destination folder, go into FCPX and try it out. If you cannot find it, there's one more step:
The Motion Templates folder and the Effects, Generators, Titles and Transitions folders require a .localized extention. You ADD the extension from each folder's Get Info dialog in the Name & Extension textbox:
Go back into FCPX and find the template...
The reason I laid the extension addition out as a separate step is that some people report that they do not have this issue. (I'm fairly sure, since 10.0.6, that the extensions are required though.) No other level of folder requires to be .localized.

The error is telling you that there is another process using port 1050, the default ORB port for the 1.3.1 SDK. You can stop the process that is using that port and restart the app server. If this is not possible change the default ORB port in the SDK. To do this edit the port property in the $SDK_HOME/config/orb.properties.

When I run following sql statement in my FSCM 9.2 demo env for user VP1, it returns 95 roles.

And my environment is a ootb demo installation.

Unable to update or install plugins

In firefox 8 i am unable to update or install plugins, firefox downloads it but does not install

Do you mean plugins (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) like Flash that handle files or Firefox extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that add extra features to Firefox?

How do I view the installed plugins?

Pardon my ignorance, I'm totally new to Safari for Windows. When I googled for this, the link said to choose Help, Installed Plugins. Yet when I choose Help, I do not see any dropdown for "Installed Plugins"? I'm using the latest version of Safari and wonder if the instructions I found via google were dated and apply to earlier versions of Safari. Anyway, I cannot find any such "installed plugins" dropdown menu in Help! Please help, thanks ..

Hmmm, I'm wondering if I have to go to a page like this:
http://www.apple.com/safari/download/plugins.html
and actually download some plugins? I thought when I installed iTunes (latest version) and Java, etc. - that those installers would automatically put plugins into Safari the way they do into other browsers (Opera, IE, Firefox).
But my copy of Safari got added later by an iTunes update, so maybe that's what I'm missing? I'll try manually installing some of these plugins ..
