Install Presenter 7.0.7 upgrade for eLS

Hello everyone,
For those who are not aware of it and do have a license for one of the eLearning Suites (1.0, 2.0, 2.5) there is a new update for Presenter 7. This update addresses a lot of issues (see: Free Update to Presenter ) and one of the most important to me is the ActionScript 3 compatibility which will allow again to insert Captivate-SWF's into a Presenter file.
This upgrade is indeed completely FREE. However the work flow is for users with an eLS-license is not too well documented. I posted it in the Presenter forum, but thought it would be good to post it here as well:
This is the work flow to install a registered 7.0.7 version:
Download the trial version (see link)
Uninstall the present version of Presenter (you can use the Software uninstall in the Control Panel)
Install the trial. Do not bother to enter your serial number in this phase because it will be marked as invalid.
Rerun the Setup file coming with eLS
Choose only Presenter to be installed, and if necessary enter your serial number (I didn't have to do that)
After the install, you will be able to register when opening Presenter.
This worked fine for me. I do use Windows 7 professional and eLS2.5. But it should work as well with Acrobat Suite and eLS 2.0/1.0.

This is not a question, only information. That is why I'm marking it as answered.

  • Cannot install Boot Camp 3.2 upgrade for Windows 7 64 bit

I recently installed Windows 7 64 bit on my macbook. I also installed Boot Camp 3.0.1 after Windows 7 installation, however, WiFi did not work. Therefore, I needed to upgrade to the latest Boot Camp 3.2. However, when I tried to install Boot Camp 3.2 upgrade for Windows 7 74 bit, I got an error message saying that I needed Boot Camp 3.1 installed first. I CANNOT find Boot Camp 3.1 upgrade for Windows 7 64 bit on Apple website at all. Can someone please help me on this? Is there a way to get the complete Boot Camp 3.2 package that can simply be installed on version 3.0.1??

here is the link to bootcamp 3.1 for windows 7 64 bit http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1336 .. and no there is no package that can be applied to the windows side to go from 3.0.1 to 3.2

  • Installing Snow Leopard Fresh or Upgrade for my setup...

    Hi guys,
Just got my Snow Leopard disk... awesomely excited!
Never done this before so need to ask... what's the best way of going about the upgrade?
I currently have Leopard installed with Time Machine external HD running for backups.
Should I stick the disk in and upgrade? then restore from Time Machine?
Should I do a clean install, formatting first then installing, then restoring from Time Machine?
    Or what?
I'd appreciate some direction. Just need to break the newb barrier
    Thank you!

In your place, I would move to SL if, and only if, I had an external drive with a bootable clone of my internal on it and had my files backed up in some other secure place. I think that there is enough risk in going to SL that such conservatism is warranted. I would not use time machine alone for backup/restoring. This app can be problematic and, consequently, its solo use is too risky for me. You will be able to extract your settings, files, and programs from your clone if you do an erase and install.
To erase and install (upgrade is covered below), start up to your DVD and stop after selecting your language. Use the menus to start Disk Utility and erase your drive. Quit Disk Utility and proceed with your installation. At the end, you will be able to choose to reclaim your settings, files, and apps from the clone (plug in the external at the point of the last install restart).
If you do not like SL, then you can restore your internal using the clone. I would do all cloning and related restoration with SuperDuper or some other up-to-date cloning app. Your clone also will serve as an independent backup for your data.
I want to mention that upgrading is a sound process on a Mac. Still, I also would insist on having a bootable clone on an external before upgrading. An upgrade is performed by installing over your existing installation from the desktop or having started from your SL DVD. All you programs, data, and settings will be present after an upgrade, but incompatible programs will be archived.

  • Adobe Presenter Plug-in/Add-in for PowerPoint 2007?

Is there a way for me to download the Adobe Presenter Add-In without purchasing Presenter's full software?  Sorry if I don't really know too much about this software package.  I'd really be interested in knowing if I can obtain the Add-in/Plug-in or purchasing it.
    Sincerely,
    -markerline

    Hi Markerline
Adobe Presenter is essentially the Add-in that is installed inside PowerPoint and is not available separately. You can always install Presenter as a trial (free for 30 days) and then decide if you want to purchase it.
    Thank you

No, if they bought it, then its theirs. You may wish to contract iTS for options in case it was part of the Mac Acceptance.

  • Quicktime for Windows -- on Vista -- opens a .mov movie once, then won't open the move and Quicktime won't even open itself.  I've installed the latest version, and upgraded it to Plus as well.

I am having trouble opening .mov videos with Quicktime on my PC with Vista.  I installed the latest version of Quicktime for Windows (V.7.7), and upgraded it to Pro.  It will open a .mov file once, then after that it will not open any .mov file and in fact, when I try to open the Quicktime player it will not open itself.  If I switch users to Admin, it all works fine, but when I go back to my regular role (where all of my preferences and programs are there for me to use), the same thing happens.  An .mov file will open once, then never again, and the Quicktime player seems to be disabled.
I've tried different .mov files, so it's not a corrupt file that's the problem.  And, in the past (a couple of Quicktime versions ago, I guess), all of this worked just fine.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!

I have the exact same problem. They play on my Mac under Snow Leopard. Transfer to Vista gets a window with black and white and some other noise. No sound either.

  • Having installed an upgrade for Photoshop Elements 13, I cannot open the application. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop Elements Edit

Having installed an upgrade for Photoshop Elements 13, I cannot open the application. I get an error message saying "Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X".
I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

  • My iCloud has been 'upgrading' for the last 12 hrs. That is, after I had pressed 'install after downloading the latest, improved version without entering my password. How do I get back to the window that will allow me to enter my password?

My iPad has been 'upgrading' for the last 12hrs.That is, after I had downloaded the new version of iCloud, and pressed 'Install' without entering my password. It is probably searching for it. How do I go back to the window that will allow me to enter my password. I have tried switching off the device, but each time the 'upgrading' comes on. I have also switched it off and left it on the charger for at least 6 hrs.

  • Just installed the latest upgrade for iTunes. Cannot open iTunes store?

Just installed the latest upgrade for iTunes. Cannot open iTunes store?

    Hey there Ray Neilson,
It sounds like you are able to open iTunes but cannot access the store. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
    Troubleshoot issues in Windows
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store for more than a day (and other customers on our discussion boards aren't experiencing similar issues) a software or Internet service provider (ISP) configuration issue may be blocking your access to the iTunes Store. Find out which ports and servers need to be allowed for iTunes Store access.
Update iTunes to the latest version.
If iTunes Store appears empty and only displays the message iTunes Store, follow these steps.
Try the steps to troubleshoot iTunes Store connectivity in Windows.
As with all firewalls not manufactured by Apple, you may need to configure Windows Firewall to allow iTunes to access the iTunes Store. Follow these steps for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Try disabling any proxies built-in to Windows. You should avoid proxies because they can cause issues.
If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
If the issue still persists, contact your Internet service provider and confirm that these ports and servers are enabled over your network.
Note: The hosts file may be blocking the iTunes Store.Microsoft's article How do I reset the hosts file back to the default? has instructions and a FixIt to have Windows try to reset the hosts defaults for you.Note: Some workplaces may put internal resources in the hosts file and may block iTunes Store. The FixIt doesn't work for Windows 8.To create a copy of your hosts file and replace it with an empty hosts file, follow the instructions below:
You can find the hosts file at: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC.
Select the hosts file. There should now be a duplicate of the hosts file named "Copy of hosts" (Windows XP) or "hosts-copy" (Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8).
Drag the original hosts file to your desktop.
Right-click the duplicate file and choose Open. You may be prompted to choose the program you want to use to open this file. Double-click Notepad.
When Notepad opens, choose Edit > Select All.
    Choose Edit > Delete.
    Choose File > Save.
    Close Notepad.
Right-click the duplicate file, and choose Rename.
Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.
Restart your computer and try connecting to the iTunes Store.
If you still can't connect to the iTunes Store, your security software or firewall may be blocking the ability of iTunes to communicate with the Internet. Learn how to resolve security software issues.
If the issue persists, try the troubleshooting in this article:

  • When I try to install an iTunes upgrade I get this message: The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for AppleMobileDevice Support.

When I try to install upgrades for itunes on my Mac, I get the following message: The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for AppleMobileDevice Support.  When this happened before I trashed itunes and started over, but I don't want to have to do that everytime i install an upgrade.

    C,
I ran into the same issue. Make sure your apple device in disconnected from the computer. It interrupts the itunes download. Disconnect and make sure itunes is closed, then try installing again. Remember that even though you close of itunes, it is often still running in the background. To make sure it's closed, click and hold the mouse on the itunes icon and select quit from the drop down menu. Then try installing the updated itunes.
    Hope that helps.

I have a Mac mini and I've just let the Software Update run as needed, but I am confused by the number of Apple update downloads listed.
I don't believe I need them, when I just use Software Update?

  • I have new iMac with Lion installed; can I get a free upgrade for my MacBook Pro?

    Hello
I recently bought a 27" iMac with Lion installed.  Should I be able to download the upgrade for my MacBook Pro without paying.  If so what should I do.  If I go to the App Store I'll end up paying £20.99
    Any help gratefully received
    margaret

    Margaret,
No you will need to purchase the upgrade. However if you own other Macs you want to upgrade once you have purchased Lion then you can upgrade the additional machines. Of course the additional machines must be using the same Apple ID. As long as the additional machine's meet the minimum system requirements listed below you are all set.
    General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
    OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available space
Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

    Sent from my mobile.
Your initial post indicated that you had a CC subscription. That seems to imply that you have subscribed. If you hadn't already purchased Lightroom 6 I would suggest that you wait until you decide about CC. You really don't need both because the Lightroom program is precisely the same except for Lightroom 6 without the creative cloud has no Lightroom mobile capabilities. But I was only trying to help.
