I can't seem to install my Canon print driver, and make it show on the print drivers list. I have a Canon MP180 as a network printer on a Windows Computer, and it requires special printing drivers, not the OSX bundled ones. Without it, I can't print to it. Even with the driver installed, I can't see it on the list of drivers.
Any help is appreciated.
1. Bonjour for Windows is installed and configured properly, although it will not install or see an HP driver for the HP Photosmart C3100 printer. The only drivers the PC sees are Generic PCL and Generic Postscript. Bonjour for Windows "sees" the Photosmart printer, plugged into the Mac.
2. I don't believe the Mac's firewall is on. I'm using a SonicWall firewall appliance between our home network and the Internet.
3. Printer sharing on the PC -- as I'm sure you know -- isn't configured as it is on the Mac. There is an option to share the HP Photosmart on the PC (if the printer were plugged directly into the PC), but that is disabled. Printer sharing cannot be configured for the instance of the HP Photosmart that was installed by Bonjour for Windows.

Prepare Your Mac for Sale
Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button. Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button. Then click on the Erase button.
Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive. If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive. The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive. After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Now complete the OS X installation. At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer. Instead just shut it off. The next user will be presented with the Setup Assistant when they turn on the computer just as it would if new out of the box. -
Installing printer drivers on x86 and x64 OS clients from print server

I have a print server win 2008 r2 with some printers installed on it including x86 and x64 drivers.
1. I wanted to install printer drivers on x86 and x64 CLIENT OS (win 7/8 ) from the print server.
2. This installation should in in backend(hide mode). While installing it should not pop up on user desktop for installation.
Could any one help me with a simple script. So i can get a get a idea.
I was using bellow script but it displays on desktop before installation.

Can any body tell me about how to install printer drivers. In my case standard drivers(sapwin,swin ..etc) are not supporting. printer drivers are available in Manufacturer site . Can any body please suggest how to install the drivers.

1. Go to Spool Administration screen by using transaction code SPAD from the initial screen of SAP.
2. From the SPAD screen choose menu path Utilities-->for device types --> IMPORT (or you can run RSTXSCRP program from SE38, too).
3. In the initial screen of SAPscript Export to Dataset/SAPscript Import from Dataset enter the following:
a) Check Radio button for device type.
b) In the Object Name field enter object name of the device type file (please see the table at the end of this document for object names)
c) MODE must be IMPORT
In the Ctrl parameters for file operation
d) Check radio button for "From/on frontend" ( Generally this would be the default)
That's it. Don't enter anything else. Execute by clicking execute button or function key F8.
4. In the Create Object Directory Entry window that pops up, enter your development class and press enter
5. You will get a pop up Window Import from a Local File. Browse through the Window to enter the filename in your local directory and click Transfer button. -

Hard drive screw fell out and doesn't load half the times. (t41)
I have a T41 thinkpad and i saw the screw on the bottom holding the hard-drive is gone. When i turn off/on computer it sometimes loads, sometimes is very touchy where if i bump lower right side it turns off hard-drive. What should i do?
Pull the hard drive out entirely, then push it back in as far as it will go...and make a trip to the local hardware store. I'm sure that $1 or less will resolve this issue.

thanks.If your machine was made after 2009 you probably installed th wrong HD. Beginning in 2009 Apple began using HD's that had an integrated fan sensor. If you did not use one of these drives then that is the problem. You should contact OWC (www.macsales.com) or visit your local AASP and they will help you select the correct HD to use.

My aperture library lives on an external hard drive that is corrupt and I can not locate the library. I do have it backed up with TM. How do I safely restore the library from TM to my laptop? I am using the newest version of aperture on my macbook pro.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. In tcode SPAD, goto "Utilities --> For device types --> Import".
There are specific notes regarding specific manufactures, search the SAP portal for notes in application area BC-CCM-PRN-DVM.
Check SAP Note 8928 for a start.

how can I fix it, i turned off and on, and the message still there help pleaseIf you have a PPC Mac, you can't install Windows unless you are using something like Parallels or a virtual application. If you are using Boot Camp, eject the disc, reboot and try again.
