Install Query

I have the HH2 on an extension socket in the living room.  From this I have cat5 running behind the skirting board across 3 rooms to the main PC and other equipment.  I do not want to have to remove or change this as it would involve having to take skirting off wall and poss redecorate.
It would be simple for the engineer to crimp a pair from the main socket wiring and make the ext socket the main socket, and then use additional pairs to make the old master socket an extension socked.
Can they, or better still, will they do this if asked?

You'll be fine, engineer can do that & you won't need to change anything.

    Hi All,
I am trying to install a query for the purchasing data cube - 'Values: Purchase order - delivery - invoice'.  When I try to install I get an error message that one of the directory objects is missing (Restricted figure - Invoice Value.  Please help with the process on how to install the missing object.

    Hi Cheryl,
You can change the collection mode to automatic and the grouping to in data flow before. This should give you all the needed CKF, RKF etc. But please be aware that this collects info objects, providers and all other objects in the data flow before the query!
Alternatively you can just choose the RKF from the query elements and install this with your query (search for the technical name given in the error). You might as well install all the other RKF's for the info provider when you are doing this. You can do a search on the info provider name and see all the available RKF's  (E.g. 0PUR_C01).

  • Oracle 11gR2 install query

I have downloaded the Oracle 11g Release 2 form the Oracle website for installation.
Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x64)
    win64_11gR2_database_1of2.zip (1,213,501,989 bytes) (cksum - 3906682109)
    win64_11gR2_database_2of2.zip (1,007,988,954 bytes) (cksum - 1232608515)
    Directions
    1. All files are in the .zip format. There is an unzip utility here if you need one.
    2. Download and unzip both files to the same directory.
    3. Installation guides and general Oracle Database 11g documentation are here.
    4. Review the certification matrix for this product here.
I am confused about the directions When it says "Download and unzip both files to the same directory" as I have never done it before, can someone please clarify?
Basically, I have folder C:\temp where I have downloaded the .zip files and unzipped them and ended up with two folders in the same directory:
folder "win64_11gR2_database_1of2" containing folders and files database\doc, install, response, stage, setup.exe and welcome.xml
    and
folder "win64_11gR2_database_2of2" containing database\stage\Components\and other folders within it.
What does it want me to do in order to have everything ready for installation? Do I need to place the content of the components folder "win64_11gR2_database_2of2" into the components folder in "win64_11gR2_database_1of2" and then run the setup.exe from "win64_11gR2_database_1of2"?
    Thanks

Ok, so I need to copy the contents of the "Components" folder in the part 2of2 into the "Components" folder of part 1of2 and then do all the install form part 1of2, I guess?
Apologies for this, just found the wording a bit confusing.
Thanks again in advance for your help.

  • Uninstall/Install Query

    Hello,
How do we uninstall any application or software ? Where does it gets stored on installation?
    Regards

Thanks. But the more i am getting used to MBP, more question are coming to my mind since i was using Windows for last 12 years, so this is a complete new experience and i am more intrested in knowing the logic as well rather than just using it for the sake of it.
Also i noticed that when i download something, for example firefox, then it gets downloaded on desktop and in the download folder as well. So are the multiple files being created over here? And if i'd drag the folder from desktop to application directory then as you said it will get installed, so in that case should i delete it from desktop and download folder? I hope you are getting my point, its kind of complicated to explain.

  • Master suite trial install query

Nice and simple one. I have the trial master suite cs4 on dvd here to check out, can i install it AS WELL as my cs3 packages or am i going to have to uninstall them to try it out.
Like many people I have my adobe apps set ups in a particular wy with all my plug ins and presets organised - i wouldnt want to have to delete them all unless I really had to....

    > No impact on CS3.
Mostly true...CS4 apps will take over the file associations and you
shouldn't have two versions of Acrobat installed. If you have Acrobat 8
then the CS4 Master Collection installer will uninstall it.

  • VirtualBox Arch install query, especially partitions.

I am new to VirtualBox. I want to demonstrate an ArchLinux install to some friends so I have created a 3GB virtual HD with 512MB virtual RAM for an arch install. All continues fine but what I am unsure of is the partitioning stage. It shows my 3GB virtual drive as /dev/sda and wants to make the partitions there. I assume that is OK, because my REAL system is on /dev/sda and I don't want to mess anything up! I am assuming that is the virtual drive?

15 Gb virtual hard disk drive is more realistic. With 3Gb of software, I have base + xorg + gnome + compiz + openoffice and some little toys

  • SCCM 2007 patch install query

    Hi folks,
Just wondering if anyone can help me with a wee thing!
Is there a way in the SCCM console that I can see if updates were installed on a particular computer?  If not, is there a way that I can force the client to install the downloaded updates?  I can see 168 items downloaded
into the CCM\Cache folder on the computer in question but within the setup event log there doesn’t appear to be a whole series of successfully installed update messages!
I’ve left the computer for a couple of days hoping it would bring up a prompt informing the user that the updates were successfully installed and to restart but the prompt never came.
    Any advice welcome!
    Cheers,
    Bonemister

    Hi Garth,
    Thanks for your reply.
Basically I have a Windows 7 computer that hasn't been installing the updates that SCCM 2007 is pushing out to it.  If I look in the CCM \ Cache folder on that computer I can see the
updates pulled down from the SCCM server but for some reason the updates don't be installed.
Normally when the updates are pushed down to the computers the install begins automatically and I can see in the setup log in the event viewer on the computers the updates were installed plus
in the control panel can see the installed updates listed.
So what I am looking for is how do I initiate the install of the updates that SCCM has pushed down to the computer.  Even if there is a way to delete the updates from the computer
and force SCCM to recheck the PC and re-download the updates and hopefully begin the install, but the thing is I don't know why the updates didn't install in the first place.
I've even tried initiating all of the actions within the Config Manager client in the Control Panel on the machine to see if that would kick things back to life and begin installing
the updates but that didn't work either.
I can see the PC within SCCM and all look well with it i.e. client is installed and active.
    So any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Bonemister

  • Infinity Instalation Query?

This may sound a daft question but as I have just had a new drive layed you will understand!
In the instalation of the Infinity service I take it that it is not received via the old BT cable?
That being so does the new cable run from the Exchange to the local exchange box and to the telegraph pole close by and then to my house?
Or does the new cable run underground?
    Thanks for your patence guys!

If you'r getting FTTC then nothing is changed regarding cabling between your home and the cabinet.
If you can't see a telegraph pole then it'll come underground, but it'll be in ducting.

  • Aperture trial un-install query

Having used the trial version of Aperture and been somewhat underwhelmed, I'm now getting error messages about being short on hard disk space. I have therefore dragged the Aperture application into the Trash but there is no discernible space saving. Could someone please spell out for me what libraries I can safely delete as with my limited knowledge it appears that my whole iPhoto library has been duplicated - hence the many gigabytes of space consumed.
    Many thanks in anticipation.
    iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 24"   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   1Mb Ram

    Hi Scott,
Sorry to hear you are underwhelmed.
when you imported iPhoto, it sounds like you imported it physically vs. logically, hence the duplication of space. To get the space back, go to Picture and trash the file aperture library.aplibrary. Once the trash is emptied, you'll have your space back.
Aperture has a couple of support files elsewhere, but they only amount to a couple of Mb, and may as well be left
    Library/Receipts/Aperture ....blah.pkg
    user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist

  • Power Socket - Install Query

Hiya, my master socket is in my hallway, of which there is no power socket within the vacinity.
My desktop computer is upstairs in a spare room, and in that room, I've wired an extension lead myself, and use that for ADSL broadband.
I understand that if I sign up to BT Infinity, that I need a power socket nearby, so that the router can be plugged in.
So really, what I'm asking is, will the Engineer move the master socket? Or will the Engineer be able to run the CAT5 cable from the master socket downstairs up the stairs and into my computer room?
I tried to find out prior to ordering by using "Chat" on BT's website, however, the advice given wasn't very helpful, as I was told that there may be a charge, what for, the advisor didn't know, and couldn't confirm anything.
So, I'd appreciate any help / advice on this issue, as I want to know where I stand before placing an order.
    Cheers in advance

Actually you need 2 power sockets. One for the Active NTE and one for the Home Hub3.
These 2 devices are joined together using standadrd cat5 cabling which the BTOR enginner wil supply one up to 30M
As for moving the extension the answer is probably. Just remember to offer them tea & biscuts when they call.
Oh they're also partial to bacon sandwiches.
Basically all engineers are like pets, if you feed & water them then it keeps them happy and they'll do tricks for you ;o)
DISCLAIMER: although I work in the industry I do not work for BT and any opinions given are purely my own.

  • Archive and Install query

Due to a balls up with Digidesign, I'm going to have to restore Mac OS X from disc. I've done this before and got po'd with the "Previous System" folder as it made the searching tool go nuts over duplicate files. IS it ok to DELETE this folder and have nothing go horribly wrong to the computer?
Basically my MBox as died cos its not suported under 10.4.4 so im gonna hve to revert to 10.4.3
Any advice would be greatly appreciated ASAP as i have a session coming up very soon

The Previous System folder can be deleted if you have no more use for it. Many times users will have custom configurations that they want to transfer from their previous installation to the new one. If you have gotten any and all files you need from your previous installation, by all means delete it.

  • SCCM 2012 Query report for specific software installed.

I have Reporting point installed and it seems to be working as I was able to run OS reports.
Here's what I would like to do.
    1. I need a query/report to show us all the machines that do not have Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection installed.
    2. I also need a query/report showing what machines still have Sophos AV installed.
Any help is greatly appreciated it.
    Thanks,
    Voev

I was not able to use the Reporting to get computers without FEP installed. So I did a workaround.
Create Device Collection for computers with FEP installed
    1. Device Collections => Create Device Collection =>name it "Computers with FEP installed=> Query Rule Properties => Edit Query Statement => Criteria tab => Add the following statements
    Criterion Type: Simple value
Where: Installed Software - ARPDisplay Name
    Operator: is equal to
Value: System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection          (as appeared in Add/remove program name)
Create Device Collection for computers without FEP installed
    1. Device Collections => Create Device Collection => Name "Computers without FEP Installed" => Query Rule Properties => Add Rule => Include Collections => Tick "All Systems" => OK =>  then you need to add
the Exclude by => Add Rule => Exclude Collections => Tick " Computers with FEP Installed => OK
So in my "All Systems" Collection has 1000 members
Computers with FEP Installed collection has 900 members
Computers without FEP Installed collection has 100 members
Add the with FEP installed & without FEP installed collections together is equal to 1000 members of the All Systems.

  • How to tell what was the latest patch installed on VMware ESX Server 3i, 3.5.0, 207095

    Hello Guys,
I have been running an old server that was installed as a test system on a DELL workstation - Optiplex GX620 (32 bit).
During the installation I had to confirgure the file: /usr/lib/vmware/installer/Core/TargetFilter.py to change the following line:
    "return interface.GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_IDE" to read:
"return interface.GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_ISCSI" this made it worked and I have been using it for 3 years now. However, at this time I was hoping to update it with the latest patches and updates and I cannot figure out if I have ESXi or just ESX, nor what was my last update and what is required next.
I have used this command to get the following output:
    # vmware -v
    VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 build-207095
... I believe the 3i indicates that I have an ESXi 3.5.0 but is build-207095 the same buid as ESXi 3.5.0 Update 5?
If not, how do I go about updating it? What is the KB # I should download?
I can manage it using vSphere Client 5.5 and I can SSH into it using Putty.
Note: When I run... "# esxupdate --bundle=ESXe350-201302401-I-SG.zip update" from within the folder where its at in the datastore, nothing happens... just a new line is scrolled.
    Also...

... is there any further update for this system? I believe so as the Heartbleed patch etc. was not around when I was installing this server back in 2010.

    Hello Richardson Porto,
I wanted to tell you that I appreciate the help so far.
Also wanted to point out to you, that the KB indicated above is older than Update 5, which from your instructions is what I have installed. That KB is for U2.
Now, the document definitely has step by step instructions on installing, querying etc. But my problem is ... NOT ALL COMMANDS WORK FOR ME!
This is why I am here because all the instructions I have been reading does not work with my flavor of ESX 3.5.0, 207095... WHY? It has me stumped.
For example, here are some commands the doc asked me to do and they failed: (Note that I had to unzip the folder on my windows box and upload it to /tmp using vSphere Client)
    /tmp # ls

NOTE: All these commands were run sequentially and I just copied and paste it from my SSH Client (PuTTy.exe)
Is there a toolkit I need to install to have these commands or what really am I missing here? Host is in Maintenance Mode and the 1 VM that's on it is off!
I am going to start a new discussion with this NEW ISSUE, since the Heading of this DISCUSSION has already been SOLVED! Thanks again!

  • Query Builder in Crystal Report Server 2008?

I am running CRS2008 V1 on Windows Server 2003 as single server install. I am using IIS as the web application server. Query Builder doesn't show up as an option anywhere I can find. How do I get to Query Builder?
How do I install Query Builder if it is not already available?
    Is Tomcat required?
Can I continue to use IIS but have Query Builder available as well?
Can I go ahead and install Tomcat without crashing my BOE installation and IIS?
How do I install Tomcat on this server?

Well I've never installed CRS 2008 so I'm not sure. If the installer allows you should be able to go to add/remnove programs and modify the install, adding tomcat/java. If that is not allowed the installer may require IIS or tomcat only and a full reinstall (I hope not).
I work with BOE 3.1 mostly and we can add/remove it with that installer.

  • How to deal with "Error 1001. The specified service already exists" when install a service using installer package?

    Hi everybody,
I wrote a "Class Library" project which is a service using Visual Stodio 2008 recently, then tried to use a Visual Studio 2008
    Setup Project to install it.
Here is what I did for the "Class Library":
    1. Finish the program.cs, Service.cs
    2. Add Installer
    3. Change the serviceInstaller so that "StartType" to be Aotumatic
    4. Change the ServiceProcessInstaller2 so that "Account" to be LocalSystem
    5.
    6. Click in F5 (Start Debugging)
Here is what I did for the Setup Project:
    1. Add the exe file built from the "Class Library" project to the Application Folder
    2. On the Custom Action Editor, add the exe file from 1 to Install and Commit
    3. Change the property of the project so that "RemovePreviousVersion" to be true
    4. Click on F6(Build Solution)
Then I tried to run the msi file from the built of the Setup Project. Because I modified the two projects serveral times, I uninstalled the Class Library using "Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs" before I reinstall. Two things I notived:
    1. After unstall, the registry was not cleaned up about the installed program
    2. After several rounds install/uninstall, I got "Error 1001. The specified service already exists"
    My questions are:
    1. How to cleanup the registry when uninstall a program?
    2. How to deal with the "Error 1001. The specified service already exists"?
    3. Did I do anytbing wrong with the "Class Library" or the "Setup Project"?
    Thanks a lot!
    Helen

    Hi Simon, not a problem!
I spent some more time on this and here are few more notes:
it is called Major Upgrade, when you are installing new version of the product upon a previous one and
    MSI supports 2 strategies:
Strategy 1. Install a new version and uninstall previous one. (Install a new version right upon previously installed version (file merging is performed based on dll version number) and the delete previously
    installed files)
Strategy 2. Uninstall previous version and install a new one (Delete all previous files and install from scratch new files.)
From the first look it seems that 1st strategy is weird and buggy. But, remember, MSI is great because it's transactional!!! That means that if once some of the phases (Installation, Uninstallation, Rollback, Comit) fails, your machine
will be reverted to the previous state and it'll be still functional.
    Let's consider both strategies:
Consider you have installed product_v1.msi and you want to install product_v2.msi.
    Strategy 1
    1. MSI engine copies files from Product_v1 directory to TEMP directory
    2. MSI engine merges files based on the assembly version (between v1 and v2)
    3. Once merging is completed successfully it removes files in TEMP (RemoveExistingProducts  action triggers it) and you got product_v2 installed, otherwise if it fails MSI engine revert machine to V1 and copies previous files from TEMP.
    Strategy 2
    1. MSI engine tottaly removes all files from v1.
    2. MSI engine installs v2 files and if something goes wrong you cannot revert back, because RemoveExistingProducts  allready worked out and MSI doesn't have files to revert machine back
I recommend to everybody to use Strategy 1 and leverage MSI transaction functionality. And you can set this strategies by defining sequence of RemoveExistingProducts action. See more info
here.  So, I think it's not even a bug in VS as I said in the upper post it is default recommened behaviour.
AND, you got "Error 1001. The specified service already exists"
because if we follow Strategy 1 MSI engine tries to install Windows Service on top of the existing service and OF COURSE it fails MSI engine (StopServices, DeleteServices actions are executed before actual
installation and  they look at ServiceControl table). In order to stop service first and delete them you have to fill ServiceContol table of the MSI (and then StopServices, DeleteServices actions will recognize what to they have to stop
    and delete), like this:
    *clip*clip*clip*
' see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa371634(v=vs.85).aspx for more info
' Update the Service Entry to stop and delete service while uninstalling
query = "INSERT INTO ServiceControl (ServiceControl, Name, Event, Arguments, Wait, Component_) VALUES ('MAD_Service', 'Service name', '160', '', '1', '"
    + componentName + "')"
    Set view = database.OpenView(query)
    : CheckError
    view.Execute : CheckError
' Update the Service Entry to stop and delete service while installing
query = "INSERT INTO ServiceControl (ServiceControl, Name, Event, Arguments, Wait, Component_) VALUES ('MAD2_Service', 'Service name', '10', '', '1', '"
    + componentName + "')"
    Set view = database.OpenView(query)
    : CheckError
    view.Execute : CheckError
    *clip*clip*clip*
We can uninstall service first by following Strategy 2, but then we lose transactional support.
So, Simon did I encourage you to change your code a bit?:)
And, btw, if you don't want to change the strategy, please don't rely on SequenceID in MSI table, it can be change, you have to get the at the runtime.
Hope it will help to everybody!
See also more advanced explanation of how MSI works
    here.
    Truly yours, Marat
