Install real time 8.6 problems

Hello all,
I´m trying to install Real Time 8.6 on a Desktop target. I ran the verification tool and it says that it´s a compatible target.
I created the Desktop PC utility usb drive and formatted the target with no problems.
When I restarted the PC the network card was initialized with the following address: 169.254.81.194 and it doesn´t show up on MAX.
It should have started with 0.0.0.0 so that we could then configure the IP Address.
Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Maxime,
First I was installing the real time on a desktop connected with a cross over cable and when I tried to see the target on MAX it didn´t show up.That was when I posted this question here.
This morning I started from scratch and instead of connecting directly using a cross over cable I connected the target to our LAN. The IP address was the same but I was able to change it.
However I have some questions:
In Labview 8.5.1 (in this same target) when I installed real time the default IP was 0.0.0.0. Has this changed?
I tried (with Labview 8.6) to change the IP to 10.0.0.100 and connect to it using the cross over it responded to ping but did not show up in MAX. Any ideas why?
Network interface: 10/100 Base-T Intel® 82562.
No error apears on the screen of the target.

You can only install apps that are available in the iTunes App Store on your computer, or the App Store app on your iPad - 'normal' PC or Mac software cannot be installed on the iPad, they are not compatible.
Flash player is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices - something which they have never managed to do and which they have now apparently given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there to see if the site(s) you use have their own app(s).

How to install Real Time Conference component?

It's possible to install the "OC4J_imeeting" the OCS webconference component, when i've an already installed and configured OCS infra and middle tier? If it can be done, how can i do it? Trough OUI? I don't have the "OC4J_meeting" listed on the OCS applications Tier, so, i need to install it. Someone have already installed in environment like this?

Installed real time ETS will not boot

Hi,
I have verified that the target system is compatible. MAX sees the unconfigured system OK. Using DHCP to get TCP to work is OK after target is rebooted. Software installation looks like it went OK. Rebooting the RT system gives the following error:
User probram stopped at exception: 13
<register dump>
No host debug possible
Fatal error KERNEL.146080: System halted.
ETS Monitor halting with error code 200D.
Search of NI did not come up with a solution.

NI Support told me to connect via FTP and erase all files
'These kind o f errors seem to be related to software problems.
What I recommend is:
If you are able to boot the system (from what you said it takes a while but
eventually succeeds) then target to it from the Host PC via FTP
(ftp://[ipaddress]/) and delete everything you possibly can from the /ni-rt
folder. Also in the root folder delete these files:
- hdmon.bin
- ph_exec.exe
- ni-rt.ini'
After this has been done, try and reboot the PXI system, reconfigure it
through MAX and download the software again onto it.'
But it didn't make any improvement (continuing with error 13, kernel error and monitor halt 200D
After that, they gave me a link to http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/E7C79C598DDF40D1862573460026FDDA?OpenDocument to create a USB HDD and test if the HDD is ok.
I created the USB HDD, but the PXI didn't boot from it (it was recognized, and was the first in boot sequence).
So I decided to interchange PXI controllers (as I had 2).
The working one was ok in the failing chasis, so it was the controller or the HDD (or both :-s)
So I interchanged the HDDs between controllers.
The working controller with the failing HDD, fail. With same errors.
The failing controller with working HDD, ok.
So I think it's the HDD. Now I need a new HDD, but I'm in a little town with a single closed computer store. So I'll take one while lunching. I hope it'll be fixed soon.

How to install Vision run-time engine to a desktop PC converted to real-time target

Hi, all
I don't know how can I install the vision run-time engine to a desktop PC which I converted to a real-time target. The same problem applies to installing real-time run-time engine and labview run-time engine to the real-time target. The only way to install software to real-time target is through "add/remove software" in MAX for remote system, but it is not for all types of run-time engine installation.
I am also confused about how to activate those run-time engines for the desktop PC as real-time target.
Please help and great thanks.

Real-Time Module Labview 64 bit

I have installed labview 2009 64 bit version to my laptop. And, i want to instal the real-time modul to this labview, but i can not do this since it needs labview 32 bit installed. Is it possible for me to install real-time module to 64 bit labview? Please help me with this problem.

The LabVIEW RT application will most likely always have to remain 32 bit for now. Most of the RT targets are to resource constrained to gain anything from moving them to a 64bit RT OS, in fact in trying to move them to 64 bit they would loose quite a bit of performance. For the Desktop and PXI RT systems, the problem is that they are based on Pharlap ETS and that is a pure 32 bit solution with no plans of ever moving to 64 bit anytime soon, AFAIK. And NI is not likely going to port that to 64 bit themselves, aside from the question if they could technically do so (not sure they have access to all of the source code) and legally (their license most likely does prevent them from changing the ETS software to run under different target systems than the one it was originally purchased for).
The only thing you can expect to come from NI in the near future is that the RT system also installs into 64 bit LabVIEW, and the actual cross compilation that happens already will simply target the 32 bit RT target. That however means that the RT application itself is still limited by the 32 bit constraints. Maybe there are some plans to add a 64 bit RT system to the mix for the high end PXI controller. What OS that would use is quite unclear. Pharlap ETS seems out of question for that, VxWorks is probably not a favorite solution at the moment and an Linux RT based system has its own legal and technical challenges.

Do you install from CD or DVD ? If so, to install Real-Time module you just have to select it in the selection menu during the installation procedure.

WSDLXML error in Web services for real time job

Hi Experts,
I want to use Data Services as a web services.
I have configured a Batch job and Real time job that is available as a web service.
Web services for Batch job is no problem. but Real time job is problem
I get the following error message in the WSDLXML

check whether the Access Server for which this service is configured is running
the real-time service configuration is saved with Access Server, management console will get the information from Access Server while generating the WSDL
to check the status of access server
click on administrator -> Access Servers
click on the Access Server and click on Ping

We have a PCI-6110S to run our VIs. But, we are planing to buy another card (PCI-6024E) to run real time PID vi. So, if they are installed at the same computer, would it be a problem for LabVIEW to run both of them at the same time.

We have PCI-6110 S series installed in our computer. We are planing to purchase PCI-6024 E series card. They will be both installed at the same computer.
1) I am wondering if we run both of them at the same time, would we have any problem?
2) To run PID real time, can any E series of PCI card be used?

Hello Baho,
1) Using Traditional NI-DAQ, there could be problems with the fact that the NI-DAQ driver is not multi-threaded; meaning that while waiting for one operation to complete, the driver could cause another operation to time out. On the other hand, DAQmx is multi-threaded, and would eliminate this problem. At the time of this writing though, DAQmx does not yet support simultaneous-sampling boards like the PCI-6110S. A good solution then would be to use Traditional DAQ for the 6110S and DAQmx for the E-series board, and they would by default run in separate threads.
2) No, using a PCI E-Series board, the LabVIEW VI would have to run in a Windows OS and would not be Real Time or run deterministically. You can run the PID program in Windows, but the
results could be inconsistent. The advantage of a Real Time is that the OS is deterministic or that the OS allows you to tightly control or determine the maximum time any function takes to operate. This kind of control of the maximum operation time is not possible with non-Real Time OSs such as Windows.
If you would like to get set up with a Real Time System, I suggest you contact your Technical Sales Representative.

Problem with DAQmx and Real Time PCI-7041/6040E.
I have a problem with the Real Time card PCI-7041/6040E, I think it is properly installed because my software run with the traditional NI-DAQ. When I try to use the new DAQmx to acquire one signal, Labview doesn't see any device for de DAQ card 6040E.
Information, I work on Windows XP and LabView v7.0.0 (NIDAQ RT v7.0.0, NI-Serial RT v2.5.2, NI-VISA v3.0.1 and NI-Watchdog v2.0.0).
Could Labview RT run with new DAQmx ?
What can I do to use DAQmx with PCI-7041/6040E?

Disabling Intego Virus Barrier Real Time Scanning Solved my Problem

I was having terrible problems trying to get time capsule to work with my macbook pro until i permanently disabled Intego Virus X5 Barrier's Real Time Scanning. This solved my problem. Hopefully it might help somebody out there too.

Often times, considering how advanced malware has gotten, a System Restore will simply result in getting infected again. Most infections I've come across tend to occur months before they actually strike and are found. If they are one of those infections that slip in overnight (those JavaScript ones that slip in through Advertisements and infected search results), those tend to infect even the System Restore points. System Restore is a handy tool to have, but it isn't bulletproof.
When such issues happen, MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware are wonderful, free pieces of software to have around. Best scanners out there for Malware that are updated daily. To be on the safe side before you start messing with the system anymore, download and install MalwareBytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org) along with SUPERAntiSpyware (http://www.superantispyware.com) and perform a full scan with both scanners. Clean out any infections found, reboot if needed, and then we can go from there to see why the Security Suite is acting up.
When you install the Verizon Internet Security Suite (McAfee under the hood), one of the first things it does is disables the built-in Windows Defender as well as the Windows Firewall, since the Security Suite includes a Firewall and a Spyware scanner with itself. Having two Firewalls and/or real-time scanners in operation can cause some rather nasty problems, besides dragging down system performace. So yes, if the security suite is installed, it's normal for Defender and Windows Firewall to be disabled. When the suite is removed, Defender and Windows Firewall should automatically be re-enabled.

Problems with my Mobo - Hangs at "Testing Real Time Clock" - Whats up?

Specs:
MSI K7 Master - MS-6341
AthlonXP 1800+
512 PC2100 DDR
40 gig Maxtor or Seagate 7200rpm, 2mb cache - tried both
Pine 56x CD Rom
eVGA GeforceFX 5200
Generic 420watt PS AND Antec TruePower 430 watt PS - same results
Alright, I can access the BIOS, etc. but after the first startup screen (with ram, processor type, IDE config, etc.) the screen just has a underscore blinking at the top left...and the error system says Testing Real Time Clock - Ive basically narrowed it down to the IDE connectors since I can unplug the hard drives and it gets past that section and asks for a boot drive - anyone have similar problems? I know he board is old but its for the family and Im stuck right now and I got some anxious members of my family wanting to know whats up with the system - any help will be appreciated...
It should be noted that I was able to install/run Windows for a couple of days - then I got stability problems which was from the BIOS overclocking my ram past spec but I fixed that and Windows was fine but now I cant boot back up and it cant be virus or bad hard drive because Ive tried more than one - some people who also have this problem can sometimes boot to their OS but its usually not the case...thanks again for the suggestions..

No problems with the mobo physically - I got it new from a trusted guy on some forums I goto (anandtech) new from an RMA - still sealed...
I have it running....again....it doesnt like that 1st IDE channel for some reason - Ive restarted/rebooted a few times and nothing has happened so hopefully its fixed but still not cool - Im almost 100% sure it will happen again...

That doesn't really say much - what is the FORMAT of the media? Look at the Item Properties. Posting a screen shot of the Item Properties would help. Do the same with the Sequence Settings.

Where is the media stored?
How is that hard drive connected to your Mac?
How much available free space on each hard drive (percentage)? Please list free space individually for each hard drive.
