Install SJSAS EE 9.1_01 without default domain "domain1"

By default SJSAS EE install a default domain called domain1 is it possible eliminate this during a silent installation?
I already create a script to remove the "default domain" but I looking for a simpler solution.
Thank you.

I believe you can do this with GlassFish v2. (I'm not sure if this is built in to the installer yet).
If you installing GlassFish by using the JAR file, use the command ant -f setup-cluster.xml create-node-agent -Ddas.host="<yourhostname>".

I am using Windows XP SP2 Spanish Version and I am trying to install Application Server 8. In fact, I installed with no problems first time. But then I had problems to start up the App server. I uninstalled the APP server and installed again and I got the following log with an error:

Can you please run the following command and see if that works (assuming you installed application server in default C:\Sun\AppServer directory) --
    C:\Sun\AppServer\bin\asadmin create-domain adminuser admin adminpassword adminadmin --adminport 4848 domain1
If it does not work, can you please post the error message and its english translation?
Installer tries to execute the command that I listed above (obviously with the values you specified on the installer screens) and the error message seems to be suggesting that there is a syntax error in C:\Sun\AppServer\bin\asadmin.bat.

  • INSTALL[for load] command without Security Domain AID

    Hello all,
I have a question for the INSTALL[for load] command.
The Security Domain AID is optional field, so I'm wondering if I didn't specify the AID, then which Security Domain performs the INSTALL[for load] command?
    Thanks,
    Julie.

Which ever one you are sending your APDU commands to. Which SD did you select ? Usually, the default applet is the ISD, so the commands are going to that applet.

  • Ldapsearch for default domain not returned after AM install

I have sucessfully installed JES2005Q4 (ds, mail, cal, uwc, ldap, am, da, web) many times before with Solaris 10 zones, but this problem is a first. Basically, after installing Access Manager in a seperate zone under the web server, I can not get the "o=<defaultdomain>" entry back when using ldapsearch.
    Steps taken
    1. Install DS in a zone (base DN: o=isp)
    2. run idsconfig (default domain/DN: o=school.k12.ia.us,o=isp)
    3. Install web server and then AM in a zone
    4. Restart web server
    5. Restart the directory server
I can run the {ldapsearch -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w password -b "o=isp" "o=*"} after each step above and get the default domain in the search results except after the last step. No indication of errors in logs or during the installs.
Is the longer domain name the problem? I have used the longer domain name "school.k12.mn.us" with preivous version w/o problems. I have also used this version of JES with my current flash archive (Solaris 10 1/06, recommed ~ 1/15/06).
    Thoughts anyone?
    Phillip

Your info is somewhat strange - you told us that the DN of the default domain is o=school.k12.ia.us,o=isp, but the ldapsearch shows something totally different. At least the DN must include o=internet,o=isp.
It could be that for some reason that after one of the steps a presence index for the attribute "o" has been configured at the DS. If you havent reindexed your database yet searches for o=* will not give you back any result.
Can you try to reindex the database (either using db2index or db2index.pl) - see DS admin-guide.

  • How do I redirect to the default domain without showing home.html in the url

Is there a way to redirect the following domains to the default domain.
    www.membersalliance.com.au//
    www.membersalliance.com.au/index.aspx
    The default domain is www.membersalliance.com.au
We have been told that these pages are seen by google as separate content and we want to consolidate them to all go to the default domain.
I have spoken to adobe support and they said that:
Redirecting to another page can be done, there's no issue with that. But what we're looking for here is to not have any other postfix with the domain name. When a page is set to be the starting page, there is an automatic functionality that the postfix/name of the page is removed, but that is not the case with other pages. So, they would still show the name of the page, even if you redirect it to the home page (starting page set for your domain).
So, I can redirect to www.membersalliance.com.au/home.html but is this seen by google as a separate page to www.membersalliance.com.au?

To be able to redirect a website with a submit button, you must have a custom submit button and insert the following line:
    app.launchURL("www.url.com");

  • Windows 8 and Default Domain Policy modification issue

    Hi,
I'm unable to edit the default domain policy from my new Windows 8 desktop.  It's the only Win8 in the environment so I'm not able to easily test another one unfortunately.  The error I receive is:
    Group Policy Error
Failed to open the Group Policy Object.  You might not have the appropriate rights.
Details: The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid.
I have checked from a Win7 and a 2003 machine and can access and edit the GPO without issue using the same account.  The Win8 desktop is a fresh install with the RSAT tools installed, Exchange 2010 tools and a few basic applicaitons (non of which stick
out as having anything to do with AD management).
It only occurs if I click edit on the GPO.  I'm able to successfully view the policy and edit the permissions etc.  Have rebooted and the machine is current with patches as of now.
    thanks
    Andy
    Cheers Andy

    Hi,
According to your description, the issue only occurred when you click to edit the GPO. And only occurred on Windows 8. I would like suggest you to follow below suggestions to narrow down the issue:
    1. Check out whether the issue only occurred to Default domain policy object.
    2. Test on another new installed Windows 8 client with only RSAT installed.
    3. Create another new account and add it to domain admin group to test again.
    4. Run dcdiag on DCs to check out whether the replications work fine.
    Hope this helps.

  • Default Domain profiles for different OUs / departments - GPO ?

    Hi,
i know there is only one default domain user profile possible.
We are using Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 7/ 8.1 Clients.
We would like to delegate a few OUs.
How is the best way to handle delegation and different profiles ?
Should we create only one default domain user profile without any sofware installed ?
Next we save this profile in Netlogon ?
And each department / different OU admin deploy his software ?
Is it possible to control where will be use the default user profile ?
    Maybe by security filtering ?
Is this the right way ?
Thank you very much & best regards

    Hi Andi,
Based on your description, did you mean that want to set default domain user profile? From Darrell Gorter’s

  • Login SharePoint 2013 without entering domain

In my case, SharePoint and client machine is different domain.Has any way allow SharePoint 2013 log in without entering domain?
I found that IIS 6 has a option for Basie authentication and set up default domain, is it suitable for new version IIS and SP13?
    Ref: https://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/c2cfb57c-a574-4a7b-b91b-49fddb9ad4c8.mspx?mfr=true

If I am not mistaken IIS 6.0 has a default domain name setting, but please verify..
This is *incorrect* for SharePoint sites.
There the server name is always assumed as the "domain".
So writing in only username would work fine if username is a local user on the server where the SharePoint system is running but not otherwise.
Instead of bothering about needing to write domain name in addition to username, the problem should be avoided altogether by
    a) making sure that the site is in the Intranet Security Zone for IE 6 / 7 and that the default value of "automatic login only in the Intranet zone" is still selected.
    OR
    b) if the site isn't in the Intranet, by specifying for the IE Security zone that it is in that Login is "automatic login using current name and password".
The way we've done this is to configure ONLY Basic Authentication in the IIS site and then add the domain to the Default domain text box.  This works fine, but unfortunately sends a user's credentials in clear text.  To prevent this, we used a
self-signed SSL cert to keep traffic encrypted even though its using Basic Authentication.
Of course you may want to experiment with using both Integrated Windows and Basic Authentication and possibly get a mixture of both behaviors

    Hi,
Can you try the following steps and let us know if it works?
    1. Create a folder in your c: drive (say c:\myjdevhome)
    2. Invoke the command prompt, set JDEV_USER_HOME=c:\myjdevhome
    3. cd to JDEV_HOME\jdeveloper\jdev\bin
    4. Start the jdev (jdev.exe).
    5. Run/Debug your application.

  • JDev 11g update 1 base edition on windows: error building default domain

    Hi all,
(refer to [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3168105]here for original post)
I'm posting this again with some more information. When downloading the Studio Edition (Base - no JDK) version of JDeveloper 11g update 1, an error occurs upon first (and each subsequent) startup of JDeveloper (error details below).
    Tests that I have done:
1). Install using JDK 6 u 11 - JDK did not show up automatically in the installer, had to browse to find it and select it. Running using 6u11, 6u10, and 6u7 (deleting the system directory after each try) - error occurs.
2). Install using JDK 6 u7 - JDK was automatically found by the installer. Running using 6u7, 6u11, and 6u10 (deleting the system directory after each try) - error occurs
These errors do not occur when using the Windows installer. For information: my machine is Windows 2008 Server Standard 32-bit. An update - I just tried this on a Vista 64-bit laptop (running Sun 32-bit JDK 6u10) and did not have the problem. Ergo, this seems to be an issue with the JDK and detecting Windows 2008 as a Windows platform (or possibly with whatever mechanism JDev/WLS is using to detect the OS platform). I'll do more research on that and update if I find anything.
One more update: I didn't find any issues reported like this related to Windows 2008, but I did one more test: install and run JDeveloper using:
    java version "1.6.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)
BEA JRockit(R) (build R27.6.0-50_o-100423-1.6.0_05-20080626-2105-windows-ia32, compiled mode)                                                                   The issue does not occur using this JDK. So to summarize, installing JDev 11g update 1 Studio edition, base installer using any of the SUN JDK's on Windows 2008 gives this problem. Using the windows installer or JRockit Mission Control JVM - no problems.
Finally, one last update - the error is related to the JVM that is used to install, not the one used to run JDeveloper (via editing jdev.conf) - the offending JDK is in wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.cmd. Seems like a no-no to have one JDK running JDev and another running the integrated WLS, though. Quite a pity, as JDev starts up pretty slowly using JRockit Mission Control.
JRockit Realtime seems to be a bit faster... sigh - now to remove the 72 extra JDK's on my laptop ;)
My going forward plan: use the Windows installer. Wish I never installed Windows Server 2008.
Now for the error details; the log shows:

    Hi,
This might be caused by a conflict with something already in your CLASSPATH. I would suggest the following:
    1. Shut down JDeveloper if it is already running. Delete the default domain directory:
    rd /s "C:\Documents and Settings\richard anthony\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.1.33.54.07\DefaultDomain"
    2. From a command prompt, clear your CLASSPATH:
    set CLASSPATH=
    3. Start JDeveloper using the same command prompt as step 2:
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\bin\jdev
If the problem was with the pre-existing CLASSPATH, the default domain should now build successfully.

Why the system cannot find the path specified?
Please help! What I need to do?
    Best regards!

copy all jars zips or other files from 'program files' to an other folder without spaces in its name.
Then search for the library which refers to the files in 'program files' and change the location to the new folder.

  • An error occurred while building the default domain - New version of error

I have installed JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0. I used an temporary Admin account on the machine to install (organization security does not allow normal users to have admin accounts) and it runs perfectly well under that account.
When I logged in under my normal account though I get an error trying to run the Debugger on the application. The server appears to be the only area of JDeveloper that has issues under this account, and below is the Log:
[Waiting for the domain to finish building...]
[12:51:06 PM] Creating Integrated Weblogic domain...
The Server Instance cannot be started because the Integrated Weblogic domain was not built successfully.

Any one have any ideas??? Seems like security issue, but this account has full access to it's C:/User/Account folders.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Can you try the following steps and let us know if it works?
    1. Create a folder in your c: drive (say c:\myjdevhome)
    2. Invoke the command prompt, set JDEV_USER_HOME=c:\myjdevhome
    3. cd to JDEV_HOME\jdeveloper\jdev\bin
    4. Start the jdev (jdev.exe).
    5. Run/Debug your application.

  • Can't edit default domain controllers policy on windows 8 or server 2012

I have found that I can't edit the "Default Domain Controllers Policy" from a Windows 8 or Server 2012 machine.  I can edit and save changes fine from a Windows 7 machine.  The domain controllers are running Windows 2012 Standard upgraded
from Windows 2008 R2.  Is there a security setting I am missing?

Posting the resolution from the other thread.  Hope it helps!
I just accidentally resolved this issue today.  I added the GPMC to a 2008 R2 server so I could make a needed firewall
change within the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security section of the Default Domain Controllers GPO (I enabled the Remote Event Log management rule for the Domain profile).  About an hour later, I forgot I was using my Windows 8 machine and I went
to edit the Default Domain Controllers GPO and opened for edit without a problem.  I can now edit it from Windows 8 and from Windows Server 2012.  Until now, I was using a Windows 7 VM to make the edits, so in my case the problem was resolved by
editing the GPO once from a 2008 R2 machine.

  • Gpupdate wont update because of Default Domain Policy

    Hi Technet Community
I have just tried to do a gpupdate /force in the Command Prompt, but it has thrown an error up at me. Screenshot below :
I have gone into Group Policy Management and tracked the UID (which is displayed above starting with 31B2F340...) to be the same as the Default Domain Policy. Usually, I would do whatever I need to with Group Policy to get it working again, but I don't know
how to change this policy about, or whether I can delete the current one and recreate it?
Could anyone let me know what I can do to resolve this.
A restart does not resolve this issue, and if I leave the domain and re-join it, it still doesn't resolve it.
I'll try installing SP1 and see if it works, but no other Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 client computers seem to work either, with exactly the same error.
All users can still log in.
    Thanks
