Install smart view link not working from workspace 11.1.2

Hi all,
I have a client who cannot install SmartView from the link in workspace (tool > install > smart view). A window briefly appears but then nothing happens. I had successfully installed smart view this way in 11.1.2. and it works in 11.1.2.1.
Any ideas?

If it is IE then you could try going to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level >
Under Downloads
Automatic prompting for file downloads - enable
File download - enable

Navigation Link not working from save search result

Hello Experts,
We have a requirement in our application which is created from scratch, I have implemenetd save search and its working fine, we have some navigation links in result. these links does not work from save search results moreover it works with normal search.
Can anybody help me out to achieve it.

Hi Madhu,
If you want to trigger cross-component navigation to an overview page, then the following conditions should be satisfied:
1. Your last outbound plug calls method fire_outbound_plug( ).
2. The collection passed in fire_outbound_plug( ) contains two entities - a navigation descriptor as the first entity and a root object of the object you want to navigate to as the second entity.
In your case, is condition 2 satisfied? You can create a navigation descriptor by calling the following method passing its two mandatory importing parameters as indicated:
CL_CRM_UI_DESCRIPTOR_OBJ_SRV=>CREATE_UI_OBJECT_BASED(
    EXPORTING
        IV_UI_OBJECT_TYPE = * UI object type of object to which you want to navigate *
        IV_UI_OBJECT_ACTION = 'B'            "for Display
If you keep debugging the standard outbound plugs, then you will see that at some location, SAP will surely be inserting this navigation descriptor object in the collection as first object in the collection when calling fire_outbound_plug( ).
If you still can't trigger navigation, please mention the BOL objects you are working with, the component you have created and where you have used it.

well planning is alright then
If you try http://<yourserver>:19000/HyperionPlanning/
(that is if you are using apache web server plugin)
or
http://<yourserver>/HyperionPlanning/
(if you are using the iis web server plugin)
If it works then the web server plugins are working, so it will relate to an issue with the workspace install.

In Hyperion Planning, smart view does not work

In Hyperion Planning, when viewing the form , the link icon to Smart View (to view the data in Smart View) at the top of the screen does not work.
When I clicked on smart view icon on the top of the screen, Excel opened but there were no connection showed in excel and not able to forms in smart view.
Please assist ASAP. Any one can pls help me on this issue.

View link not working for programatic view objects

I have created 2 vo that is programatically populated from the stored procedures, which runs perfectly.
I created a view link between these 2 vo which has 1-many relationships. when i run AM then the destination VO is not getting filtered based on source vo. but it displays all records for all the records in source table. Is there any work around for this problem....?

"Previous View" Links not Working

I have a document ( a multi-page process flowchart) that has "Previous View" links embedded into it. When I view the document in the Adobe Acrobat reader app for iPhone, the "Previous View" links do not work. My other links (links to specific document pages) however, work fine. Is this a bug in the app, or could this be a compliance problem with my document?

Within Adobe Acrobat 10 (full version -- not just the reader), if you click on the link tool, you can highlight an area on the doument. You can then define the link appearance and actions (such as go to a specific page number, open a file, go to a URL, etc). If you select "Custom" for the action, you can then specify from a whole list of diffent menu items (zoom in, zoom out, first page, last page, previous view, last view, etc...).
I find that my previous view links works great in a web browser on my PC or Mac (works in IE7,Safari, Firefox), but not in Acrobat for IOS.

Mailto: link not working from a particular website but works from others

the mailto: links on my website are not working in firefox v26.0 but other sites mailto links work perfectly well and open gmail has i would expect them to. i know the links on my site are working has i have tested them in chrome and work has expected so the issue is purely within firefox.

This is where things are upto:
Tried everything that has been suggested so far without success,
I therefore unistalled firefox and rebooted computer and reinstalled FF and retested the links from the top level frameset then clicking the Contact Us link in the left frame.
The mailto: links when clicked on now open a newly composed message by firstly initiating a new tab within chrome its self (mailto: set to use google chrome within Options-> Options->Applications). If I set this to be Use Gmail then the problem i was having returns.
Does anyone have any suggestions of why this is.

Acrobat 9 pdf links not working from InDesign CS3. What is wrong?

My links are working in my 40 page Indesign CS3 file using Mac. After I convert to a .pdf, some of the links are no longer going to the right location. They have either duplicated other links, or trying to take me incorrectly to my desktop or network. Can't figure out what is wrong.

Links meant to go to an outside website are supposed to be filled out in the following format : http://www.phillipmjones.net
in Acrobat should look something like : This is my personal website
In Acrobat go go create you link then click on action:
(I'm using my own personal website as an example)
If you choose something else such as open a file then that is what it does.

I attempted to access the "offline installer" link that was offered, but it does not seem to be working. Does anyone have an updated link to a functional offline installer that I can use to finally download Flash Player for Mac OS X v. 10.9.5?
I receive an error message stating "Error: Unable to proceed with the installation."
Many of the photography and game websites I use (almost all, actually) FP, and I would really love to get back to my daily routine soon!

The correct link is posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page, in the 'Still having problems section'. The download links recently changed and it appears the FAQ was not updated. I have updated the with the help page URL as it's less likely that this link will change, and if it does, a re-direct to the new location would be implemented.

EPM 11.1.2.1 Consolidation Application (Create) does not work from workspace

We have installed and configured HFM, Planning, Essbase, FR, FDM in single server-Windows 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit). We have checked all diagnostic logs and configuration is 100% successful. All the services start successfully. We can connect to foundation/workspace on 19000 port and create planning application successfully and also use it with no problem.
But when try to create Consolidation application, we get error as below:-
Description: Invalid or could not find module configuration 'hfm.appcontainer'.
Also the icon is not visible for all consolidation link under Navigate/Administer.
We have installed Java 7 and dotnet framework 4.5
Please help as we have reinstalled/reconfiguration numerous times and faced the same problem.

Have you reconfigure the Web Server after installing all the additional components? Usually, the icons are missing when you have not reconfigured the Web server after the installation and configuration of a component.

Do we need to just add an entry to the listener.ora in Oracle DB to get the connection working? Is that all what is required?

DB Link not working from SQL Developer

Hi All,
I Have two databases say A and B. My DBA has created a DB link and when he logs in to sqlplus directly on the server and he can get the values from the other database. When I'm to get the values from the other database through SQL Developer from my client machine, it is giving me ORA-12154: TNS :could not resolve the connection identifier specified.
I can access both the databases without any problem and i have the entries for bath in my TNSNAMES.ORA file.

Check the dblink ddl. your tnsnames.ora should have exact same word as dblink_authentication as below.
create public dblink dblink_name connect to username identified by password dblink_authentication;

Link not working from submit on form

When I have this link in my jsp
Get ALL Classifieds<BR><BR>
and click on it i get this in the address bar:
http://localhost:8080/mysite/servlet/getclassifieds?classifiedsearchtype=ALL
Everything works fine.
However when I put the link into a form like this:
<form method="get" action="http://localhost:8080/mysite/servlet/getclassifieds?classifiedsearchtype=ALL">
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />
</FORM>
And click Submit I get this in the address bar
http://localhost:8080/mysite/servlet/getclassifieds
The submit action is not sending the parameter:
getclassifieds?classifiedsearchtype=ALL
Obviously my servlet returns a null pointer.
Any ideas. I have googled this to death.

Help with Live View - Links Not Working

Hello,
I am having a problem with Live View. It had been working just fine, until recently. Now, when I load a site stored locally, the page looks normal and links highlight when I cursor over them, but when I click them no navigation takes place. I just remain on the index page. The site does test fine in IE8, Chrome, Firefox and used to test fine in Live View. The same happens with all my sites. No changes have been made to my system. Maybe I changed a setting unknowingly? Is there some type of setting that I am missing perhaps? Any help would be appreciated.
