Hi
It's a good a way as any considering your environment. What I've done in the past is get hold of around 4 or 8 firewire cables. If these are the newest iMacs then you'll be wanting firewire 800. Image two iMacs first. TDM another two to these two. Now you have 4. If you have another 4 cables repeat the procedure. Now you have 8. The longest time taken will be with the initial one or two iMacs. Thereafter once cascaded in this way with enough cables they can all be done at the same time.
The only problem I had - and you've mentioned it - is space and power outlets. Desk space is always a problem if they're not in situ.
You may want to read this:
http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/SystemImagev10.6.pdf
Something to consider for the future perhaps?
Judging by your Name is it safe for me to assume you've installed FCP? I guess the image is going to be quite large then? I imaged a suite of iMacs some time back with FCP, Adobe CS4 and Office. Total space taken was 110GB. Took 12-13 hours to image. I hope your image is not that large?

    Hi,
I want to create a home page in Oracle Portal 10g using flash images.
How to create all those things ?
Weather it should be created in pages or pagegroups or HTML portlet / some other.

You can find in knowledge exchange a script to create an flash file item type. With this installed you can add a flash file to an item region on a page.

  • Why does my flash image viewer look different in firefox than in IE...

So I have created a horizontal spry bar that overlaps a flash image viewer slide show. When i load the page in IE everything works fine, but as soon as you open it in firefox it works improperly...you can hit refresh in firefox and sometimes it resizes the image I don't understand how that is possible....if you have any input it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You need to be aware of the limitations of the various browsers and make sure you use web-safe fonts and colors.....
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/WebMusic/FontsandColors.html
Do a Command A on all your pages in iWeb to make sure that objects/text boxes are not touching or overlapping.
Firefox has problems with displaying drop shadows/frames etc.
To get help with specific issues you would need to tell us the URL of our site.

  • How to upload a HTML page with Flash image viewer?

I´ve got a html page with a flash image viewer file inn it. Preview in a browser is ok, but I don´t get it right on the server. Is it something spesial with the swf file?
This is what i have done: I just upload html -page, viewer swf file and the pictures to the same folder. Is this wrong?
Sorry, I really don´t have a clue... Thanks!

Sorry to say, but that is not a webpage -
There is no doctype, no head section, no body section .
    etc. etc.
Nothing would work in that document.
Please generate a properly formed HTML page, and place the scripts and script calls in the proper section and the rest in the body, and let's see what you get

  • I can't find the tutorial on replacing a person with another image from a different photo.

I got an email with a link to a video a long time ago that showed how to remove a person from a group photo and replace this person with an image of them from another photo.  It does not seem to be in the videos on my Phtotshop elements 9 list within the program.  Does anyone have a link to this video so I can save it and rewatch it?  Thanks

Click on the link below and go to: Easily Create the Perfect Photo
It’s designed for several people but it should work with just one person in the shot. After viewing the tutorial open both images in Full Edit and go to:
File >> New >> Photomerge Group Shot

  • Problems with flashing images top of screen in CS4

    Hi there: I'm running Photoshop CS4 on an iMac 27 inch - Processor 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 / Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 / Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB / OS X 10.8.2.
Ever since buying the Mac I've had problems with what I can only describe as flashing, bitmap images around the main image but not within it. This problem mostly occurs at the top of the screen (in the 'Rulers' area)
but occassionally happens to the left and right of the image too. I've reached the limits of my 'tech' expertise and trashed the Preferences a couple of times but I still have the problem.
I found one similar problem on the forums but not the same as it was all over the screen and required a complete reboot; I only need to quit Photoshop or ignore it - although it is very distracting!
Their problem was the video card, could this be the same? Very grateful if anyone can shed light.

    willspring,
Just to make sure: As I understand it, things worked in CS4, not only in earlier versions.
To reset settings in Illy, you may Move the folder, but it may not solve the issue (the simpler but less thorough resetting being to Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup).
Have you made any changes, such as printer driver or whatever, between success and failure?

  • Auto-installing McAfee with Flash?  Shame on you, Adobe.

As a longtime Adobe product user (Photoshop 3 through today, After Effects, Premiere and now CC subscriber) I was extremely disappointed and appalled when Adobe Flash Update installed McAfee without asking me.  I was so surprised, I went back to reinstall on another machine to see if I had missed a pre-checked box.  Guess what - no option to skip the McAfee on this update.
I have seen (and unchecked) the McAfee box in the past.  This time, it didn't ask.
This is not how reputable software companies do business Adobe.  I expect better form you!
There should never be software that is installed by default, just as "options" that many people avoid for secuirty reasons (like the check box for keep me signed in) should NEVER be checked by default.
If you want to stop developing Flash, or charge for it, fine.  But do not place programs on  my computer that I did not ask for.
Shame on you, Adobe.  Shame on you.

As already pointed out there is nothing we can do here to help you but
if you were after alternatives or what economists call substitute
products then clearly Microsoft is the best.  They have almost
everything Adobe has and their products are relatively less expensive
    than Adobe's.
Whether you like these alternatives is a different story altogether but
alternatives they are and there are others out there if you look for
them.  Search for Open Source products (free products) and you will be
    surprised what you get.
    Good luck.

  • Need help with flash images

i have been all over forums asking this question. i hope someone helps me here.
okay i purchased a template to make a website for a book.
in the unedited purchased template, on the products page, there is an image gallery.
there are four thumbnails that are just default for the template.
when i open flash cs4, and open the library panel, and scroll to where these thumbnails are located, i am having trouble replacing the images with my own.
i use photoshop to resize my images to the EXACT same size as the images that came with the template.
okay. i double click the thumbnail in the library and a window pops up that shows the thumbnail with buttons like update, import, etc.
well i click "import" so that i can replace the image with my own.
it seems to work at first. BUT....
when i click "save" in cs4 and then test movie and go to the products page, it was there and replaced, but it all acted CRAZY!! like the image would jump to the other thumbnails, or it would blink in and out and sometimes it would effect the entire template!!! what am i doing wrong? how can replace those thumbnails with my own and have it work correctly?
    here is the link:
http://www.charrleslieministries.com/projects/main_v8.html    then click on the products button. thanks for any help.     michael

it's not likely you're going to get much help in a forum.  you're problem is related to the specifics of your template and you probably don't understand how the template works.
you're best bet is to see if you can get someone to download your fla and fix it for you.

  • Dual OS system booting issue - Solaris with Windows XP Pro

    Hi,
I have installed Windows XP Professional with SP2 on my laptop Dell Inspiron 6400 (Intel Core 2 Duo). I created partition as below,
    C: 25GB (Primary : Active) Installed XP
D: 15GB (Primary) - Tried to install Solaris here
    F: 10GB (Primary)
    G: 20 GB (Logical)
    H: 20 GB (Logical)
    1. I tried to install Solaris 10, booted up system from DVD and selected Solaris. I got a message related to "License..." and it stopped right there, nothing showed up on screen after the message. I forced it to shutdown.
    2. Next, I tried with Solaris Express Developer edition DVD. I was able to proceed until "Install" option. After clicking "Install" button, it reported some account name(no account name found) setting problem and quitted from installation. It asked to remove the DVD manually. But I was not able to eject it, got stuck. I switched off it and removed DVD.
When I bootup the system next time from HDD or CD or USB bootable backup, it showed blank screen and blinking cursor. I am not able to boot system with Win XP or USB Win Xp bootable. I am able to enter BIOS setup.
Please let me know how to boot up Win Xp and install Solaris with it.

with my little experience i find solaris 10 isn't able to install on sata hdd but with solaris express edition 5.11 i was able to install it on my lap top toshiba tecra and now i can boot with xp sp2 and solaris i hope this answer your question .

  • Error Installing Solaris 8

When installing Solaris 8 (Intel), it gets through the hardware detect stage, then it repeats the following line over and over:
    atapi protocol error: 0x170 0x4 0x1
    The PC spec is:
    Celeron 400Mhz
    128Mb RAM
    CDRW Drive
    5Gb Seagate Hard Disk
    Any ideas?

I've seen something similar to that, but I don't know if this is the exact solution. Some versions of Solaris are not tolerant of having UDMA turned on with certain chipsets.
    1. Upgrade your motherboard to the latest BIOS if you have not done so already.
    2. After updating, go into the BIOS and disable UDMA access. Yes, this might slow down drive access, but it's better than not getting Solaris installed at all!
    3. Try the install again.
If that doesn't work, you might want to try replacing your CD-ROM drive with a newer version and/or writing the installation CDs again but at a slower burn speed.

  • Flash or imaging solaris with directory server

    Hi,
I don;t know weather it is "doable" or not and im not sure weather this question belong to directory server or solaris OS question.
This is about OS imaging, but with directory server. Reason, i have to build 10 servers with directory server in it.
Did anybody install directory server on a solaris machine and image that server?
can i use the same image to create rest of the servers?
    Appriciate any thoughts / suggestions
    -S-

Don't ask me exactly how but flash/flar/imaging is exactly that a complete system image. So you could do this but you will end up with 10 identical - i.e. hostname, IP , nodename - servers.
If it's worth the effort I'd suggest putting the JES components that you need, with SILENT install templates etc, into a jumpstart configuration. Then jumpstart/install each server and run the silent installs with appropriate hostname configurations, I've seen this entirely automated but it takes some work
If this is the only time you're EVER going to do this I'd say you're on the verge of the time worth it versus not stage, if you see the need to do this again in future I'd say it is worth the time investment.
You may consider just using jumpstart with appropriate installation bits to get each server OS going and manually install the Directory.

  • Problem with installing solaris 10

    hi.
I'm using Intel-based processor for my stand-alone computer running Windows XP Professional with a broadband connection.
As directed by one of the guys here, and also by my own research, I found the documentation for installing Solaris 10 on x86 based computers.
    By navigating through the documentations:
'Solaris 10 Release and Installation Collection' >
'Solaris 10 Installation Guide: Basic Installations' >
'2. Installing With the Solaris Installation Program (Tasks)' >
'x86: Performing an Installation or Upgrade With the Solaris Installation Program'
I followed the instructions as stated in the documentations and set BIOS to boot from CD.
It didn't worked. My computer went on to boot from my Windows OS located in my hard disk. (CD is my first boot device in BIOS)
I have 4 CDs now for Solaris 10 installation.
Each of the CD has a ISO file respectively.
    Please help!

One or more of the following:
    (A) Your motherboard and/or CD-ROM drive do not actually allow booting from CD even though all of the settings seem to be set correctly. I've had this happen to me before. Try a different CD-ROM drive.
    (B) Your CDs are written from bad ISO images.
    (C) Your CD writing software does not properly create bootable CDs. If you use Windows, Nero is highly recommended.
    (D) Your CDs were written too fast. Rewrite the CDs using the slowest speed that your CD writer will allow.
