Install Solution Manager 4.0 Support Release 4 ,JDK ERROR

I'm install Solution Manager 4.0 Support Release 4 on Windows 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition with Oracle10g
and JSDK 1_4_2_18,when confirm JDK DIRECTORY,Its shown error below.

The same issue has been solved in SCN Thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3360385. As suggested in that note i am trying to look into the sap note
Note 1716201 - SYB:Update control.xml files for installation: Sybase ASE
in service market place but it is displaying as Document not released.
Kindly can any one help me in provind the above mentioned note or help me how to resolve this issue.

Can I install Solution Manager 7.0 in Window Server 2008 R2 Enterprise ed.?

Hi, SDN experts.
I am trying to install Solution Manager 7.0 in in Window Server 2008 R2?
I checked the the software requirement for SAP Solution Manager 7.0, it only mentioned Window Server 2003 and 2008 enterprise edition.
I am trying to install Solution Manager 7.0 in in Window Server 2008 R2 enterprise edition?
When I ran the Solution Manager Master Installer, the Pre-requisite Checker gave a warning message saying that it detected incompatible server version, that the server version is Windows NT 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (I guess it meant Window Server 2008 R2).

The following Windows operating system version is supported: Windows Server 2003 (i.e. Version 5.2) and Windows Server 2008 (i.e. Version 6.0).
Current Windows version: Version 6.1, Service Pack 1.0, productive type: Server.
You can check the current version of you operating system by runningu2026u2026..

Can I actually install Solution Manager 7.0 in Window Server 2008 R2? Will this cause problem during the installation/post-installation if I ignore this message?

I think it is not straight forward to install SAP Solution Manager 7.0 in MS Window Server 2008 R2.
I am installing Solution Manager 7.0 , the installation encountered error on Create Java Users step (Phase 31 of 44). When I login to SAP solution Manager system through SAP GUI. I encountered this error:
"OS release Windows NT 6.1 7601 Service Pack 1 4x AMD64 Level 6 (Mod 44 Step 2) is not supported with this kernel (700)'
I found that it is because I am installing SAP Solution Manger 7.0 in MS Window Server 2008 R2, which the existing kernel version does not support.
Do you know which kernel I should install?

Im trying to install solution manager 3.2 with oracle 9i...
I successfully created the central instance.
when creating database instance i get that error. during the load phase..I installed nonunicode installation
central instance is running. could it be that I'm using wrong code page 1100?
I'm not sure what to do its been bugging me for past few days..
And also do you know if 10g is supported with solution manager 3.2? When i installed 10g it said "no database found on this host"

Even when 32 bit Solution Manager was supported, it is very doubtful your laptop would have the required memory or diskspace to install and run the system. You can see the system requirements in the SAP installation guides.

Question for installing Solution Manager & ECC 5.0

Any idea for installing Solution Manager 3.2 on Windows server 2003 with Oracle9i problem when install Database Instance. Installation failed when the intallation progress went to Oracle Post-Load Action.

Hi,
The /usr/sap file system looks fine.
Could you also check the file space on the /tmp file system? This is usually less and SAPInst can fill this up very quickly.
Ideal to create a seperate SAPInst directory rather than use the default /tmp/sapinst_instdir.

Can't Install Solution Manager on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 - JAVA

Hello everyone!
I've been trying to complete the pre-requisites in order to install Solution Manager SR2 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 x64 - SP1.
There's only one last condition that I haven't met, and it's the Java Runtime Environment version...
I checked the recommended note 867110 and it says that i need to have installed the J2SDK 1.4.2_08.
SLES10 includes the 1.4.2_13, so I had to uninstall it, and download the right version from Sun Microsystem's official webpage.
When I installed the version 1.4.2_08, i'm not able to run SAPINST because there's no Java Runtime Environment running on the server.
I started to investigate and I found in some forums [NOT EXPLICITLY] that there's no port for J2SDK 1.4.2_08 on x64 linux systems.
I can't believe this is true because SLES10 is recommended by SAP to install Solution Manager, so I hope somebody can help me on this.
My specific question is: Does anybody know if is true that J2SDK 1.4.2_08 is NOT COMPATIBLE with x64 Linux?
In case of being true, is there any way to be able to run SAPINST ? because if I enable the version SLES brings built in, i'm able to run the SAPINST but it detects that i'm not running version 1.4.2_08 and doesn't allow me to continue installation.
I hope somebody can help me soon...

You downloaded the wrong version - the one you have is for Z-Linux(Linux running on the mainframe - not for x64).
You need to download the x86_64 (or AMD64) version.
Install the correct one and try on a new console:
export JAVA_HOME=/opt/IBMJava2-amd64-142
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
Then execute
java -fullversion
and it should show the correct version.

I am installing Solution manager 7.0 EHP1 on Windows server 2008 64 bit. I have downloaded the installation DVD's from service market place (Named: 51036441_part1, 51036441_part2 and 51036441_part3).
But i am getting error while giving the path for LABELASC. It is saying that Found the label SAP:WEBAS:7.01:SAPINST..WINDOWS_X64_64. but need the label SAP:UT_SOLMAN70:NW701...*

The folder
jlc-w1\DVD.image\SolutionManager\InstallationExport\EXP1 ,2 , 3 ,4 exists, and can be accessed. (In previouse steps, those folders are accessed, correctly)
Strictly speaking,
jlc-w1\DVD.image\ is mapped as drive z:
I also tried put InstallationExport\EXP1 , 2, 3 and 4 at local drive c:
However the result is same, I got same error.
Does anyone know this problem?

I have tried with following condition.
I've copied image from DVD to
C:\EXP1
C:\EXP2
C:\EXP3
C:\EXP4
(C: is local drive)
Then compared all copied files in the local drive and DVD image. Verified all files are identical. also made all files and folder under those folder have R/W permission.
However I still get same error. ( I did this from fresh OS and new installation as well)
I used filemon.exe during installation to monitor file access. During other step of the installation, files under EXP1,2,3,4 were accessed successfully.
