Install sound driver of hp compaq nx6320 for win 7

please informe me how to install sound driver of hp compaq nx6320 for win 7

INSTALLING WIN 7 ON HP NX6320 INCLUDING SOUND
The biggest hurdle has been installing from CD when the setup file conveniently forgets USB and CD drives.
Use the HP recovery discs to get XP back up and running, then shut down. If you did not make Recovery Discs use Spotmau or Clonezilla to make a backup image of the recovery partition.
If you don't have the recovery discs, then shove any XP on there. There's no need to worry about registration because it's only going to be there for about an hour.
Reboot with Spotmau (my favorite) or Clonezilla and shrink the XP partition. You're aiming for 50GB or thereabouts.
Reboot XP and using disc manager create and format a volume in the unused space. (D
Load your Win 7 disc in the optical drive and open in file view, NOT autorun.
Copy all files and folders to your newly created D:drive.
Run SETUP from D:drive. Select options to completely overwrite. You don't care about backing up the XP installation.
In my case, the nx6320 went straight online and downloaded a variety of drivers without my assistance. This included sound.
For the benefit of other users, I've backed up many of the drivers, including those that could be overlooked: memory reader slot, PCMCIA, 1394 etc.
I haven't yet made sufficient posts to be able to send PMs to anyone. If people want to PM me with an email address, I'll happily forward the drivers I've backed up.
Advice on configuration:
Once Win 7 is running, disc management allows you to resize, create and delete partitions "on the fly".
Leave your C: partition alone.
Delete all other partitions (if you backed up the XP recovery partition, now is not the time you need it)
Create at least three new partitions, A:, D: and R: (My example is 250G drive: 50G for OS on Cystem, 75G for A:Applications, 75G Data 50G R:recovery)
Now go and do all your personal setups; screen res, colors, power management, network connections etc. and go out for a night on the town while some 700+ updates are downloaded.
Shut down and reboot Spotmau. Create an image of the Cystem partition to R:Recovery
Reboot into Win 7 and whenever you install software that allows you to define the location, change it to A:. I had an entire machine crash because of a power glitch. With the Applications partition you can recover Windows, and on A:Applications, you have folder lists to remind you what needs to be reinstalled.
Once you have a stable running machine, again make an image C:system to R:recovery. If the OS crashes like mine did, a single recovery will put it back in its place with all the right registry entries for the applications installed on A:

i have driver setup. i have run the setup but sound not comes.
please give me the procedure how to install the sound driver. thank you

    Hi,
    First install correct MS-UAA:
MS-UAA for XP with SP2 (required with a reboot before Audio and Modem) here
MS-UAA for XP with SP3 (required with a reboot before Audio and Modem) here
Only when you will do this download:
    Conexant High-Definition SmartAudio 221 here
Unzip to a folder..use Device Manager, right click "Audio Device on HD",choose Update driver,
    No to connect,
Install from a list or specific location,
Select Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install,
For the Hardware Type select 'Show All Devices'
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
    Ignore XP when it complains.
    Reboot.

= No SB0220 support available? SO, IS THERE exactly a model numbered as SB0220 AT ALL?
    I think there is not.
Yes My Sound Card is exaclty SB0220. I have downloaded the patch and start it. After that I configured the installer and now I have creative drivers. But are they the best for my sound card? After all I`ve pathed the installer and some sort lied it. If the drivers are for my model, why should I path it's
Yes, I've seen a true SB0220 too on a picture after writing that comment so there is true SB0220 model. But, are you sure your card is SB0220? Did you look the number from a sticker on card board w/ serial number lik MSB022xxxxxxxxxxx where the SB022x is the true model number for your card.
Why you didn't got drivers installed for your card is, because the installer doesn't support the model SB0220 (supported cards are listed in ctcomp.dat -> this is the file ctcomp.exe patches).
IIrc, those drivers are the latest ones for your card. If you like to, you can try soft-mod your card the way, you can use Audigy series drivers (which are a bit newer) -> http://www.tech-pc.co.uk/audigy-2.php (i.e. you just use ctcomp.exe utility to patch the installer for Audigy drivers (use these drivers st - http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/creative/%20audigy%205.2.0.042.exe) (newer installer maybe can't be patched w/ ctcomp).

Trying to build alsa-driver-1.0.25. Took some header shuffling to make configure work...
    ./configure --with-cards=hda-intel --with-kernel=/usr
    Then make breaks:
    make -C /usr SUBDIRS=/tmp/alsa-driver-1.0.25 CPP="gcc -E" CC="gcc" modules
    make[1]: Entering directory `/usr'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr'

What do I need to change to build alsa?
Is there a better way to get back to the original module to play with it a little more?

  • Satellite Pro M30 - cannot install sound driver

    Hi
I have a Satellite Pro M30 which usaed to work fine but I can no longer install sound card drivers on it.
I THINK it has happened since we reinstalled windows XP Pro with SP2 but can not be certain.
It is trying to install the Sigmatel AVC97 drivers and comes up with the following error.
Invalid operating system parameter or this installer does not support this operating system
Any suggestions as there seems to be only one sound driver for the SPM30 family.

Nobody here have got a problems with sound driver installation just you
So is this not strange for you???
Either you did something wrong or its your windows XP issue.
Please note that the Toshiba driver page provides also the Installation Instructions
There you can find the right installation order!
Install your OS again and follow this instruction in this doc!

  • Satellite Pro A100 - Can't install sound driver

    Hello,
Hope someone can help, I'm having trouble getting a sound driver to work, I've tried quite a few different drivers now and none seem to work.
I've tried all the drivers off the Toshiba driver download site with no luck. I'm still left with a yellow question mark in device manager. (Satellite Pro A 100) During the installation the window appears that i must instull MICROSOFT BUS DRIVER BEFORE this audio drive r(Realtek HDA for XP).
Where can I get this driver(Appreicate if someone could point me in the right direction), or somebody can give me another usefull advice?
    Appreciate any help
    Thanks.

I think this is a known issue.
Sometimes its useful to search in the Microsoft Knowledge Base. There I had found these interesting documents:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221

Its very important to install these hotfixes before you install the driver.

  • Audio drivers for Compaq C770LA for Win XP Pro / integrated mic not working

Hello. I have downgraded a Compaq C770LA to Win XP Pro SP3. Almost everything seem works perfect, but I have tried several audio drivers and still can´t get to control or use the integrated mic which this notebook has. I can hear audio and even record, etc, but there is no way to use or get to the integrated mic and some of the volumen controls I was used to (as "Record whats been listened") are lost. Does anybody knows wheter I have to change the driver or if it´s going to be any difference if I install for example the smartaudio add-on? I tried HP but they replied they don´t provide drivers for notebook for Operating Systems other than the one they gave the notebook with.

Have you tried to update DirectX? Look on the Microsoft website for an update.
In my opinion the best way would be if you run the factory settings. Just boot from the Toshiba recovery disk and follow the screen instructions thats all! All drivers and tools will be installed automatically.
However, you could try to update the BIOS and sometimes I can read in the forum that SP3 is not compatible with all drivers. Maybe you should try a downgrade to XP SP2.

  • Can't install internet driver on HP Compaq

I have a refurbished HP Compaq running Windows XP for refurbished computers.  I had the computer stored for about 8 months and then set it up again.  When I plugged in my Netgear (WNA1100) adapter it wouldn't work, so I uninstalled the driver.  Then I went to the internet and downloaded the driver.  And yes, I see that it is not supported anymore.  When I installed it a message came up:  HrGetINetCXfg()..failed.  Error code: 0x80070057.  So I figured maybe the adapter is no good anymore.  I bought another adapter and when I tried to put in the software I got the same message.  I did the usual stuff, ran a registry cleaner, defragged, etc.  No joy.  Any help here?
    This question was solved.

    Hello @Visari26,
I understand that you are getting an error when you are trying to install your ethernet. I suspect this has to do with the fact that you cannot run a Windows Update anymore on this computer so when it goes to get the information it fails. I would fail either way as since you cannot connect to the Internet you would not get the update anyways. I would recommend that we just start from scratch and you use the HP Support document: Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows XP), and use it to recover your computer to factory settings. This will put EVERYTHING back so it should all work barring a hardware issue.
Please re-post if you require additional support. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Install optional driver updates from Windows Update for IdeaPad Yoga 13?

Windows Update on IdeaPad Yoga 13 - Windows 8.1 (64-bit) suggests two optional updates:
Conexant - Audio Device - Conexant SmartAudio HD
    10.01.2014
    Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Intel Corporation Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 software update released in May, 2014
    04.06.2014
Should I install those updates or should I keep the original drivers?
The original drivers from Lenovo "Drivers and software" section (http://support.lenovo.com/de_DE/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS032590) seem to be older/outdated:
Conexant Audio Driver for 64-bit Windows
    8.65.3.53 10/22/2013
Integrated Graphics Driver for 64-bit Windows
    Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
    9.17.10.2843 10/23/2012
Intel Video Driver for 64-bit Windows
    10.18.10.3282 10/22/2013

Windows Update has now another update for "Intel Corporation Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1" and still no updates on the Lenovo site.
So I tried the the drivers from Windows Update and it seems that every thing is still working fine.

    Hi jleesq,
I hate to hear you are having installation issues.  Please see the below steps that may resolve the issue.  If you are still unable to install, a generic driver can be added to enable print functionality only.  Here is a link that will provide steps for that, however be sure to select HP universal print driver PCL6 instead of 990c, if this process is used.  Link
    Installation steps:
    1.  Completely remove any printer components that installed on the PC (check programs/features, device manager, etc.)
    2.  Download and save the full feature software from Here
    3.  Run disk clean up and disable unneccessary start up programs through MSConfig (see steps below if needed)
    3.  Reboot PC
    4.  Temporarily disable firewall
    5.  Run installation from fresh download with new USB cable (do not connect USB to device or PC until prompted by software)
    Selective startup in MSConfig:
HP and I are not responsible for any changes made in system configuration
    1.  Click start button
    2.  Type MSConfig in search, double click to enter
***If Normal Startup is currently selected, follow these steps:
Select Selective Startup, and then clear the Load Startup Items check box.
Click the Services tab, and then select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box at the bottom of the screen.
    Click Disable All.
***If Selective Startup is currently selected, follow these steps:
    Click the Startup tab.
Make a list of the items that are selected. You will need this list to reset your computer startup items later.
    Click the General tab.
Clear the Load StartupItems check box.
Click the Services tab, and then select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box at the bottom of the screen.
Make a list of the items that are selected. You will need this list to rest your computer startup items later.
    Click Disable All.
    Click Apply.
Click OK. A new window displays. Click Restart to continue.
. Upon restarting your computer, the System Configuration Utility window displays.
Note: to return to normal startup or predefined selective startup, these will have to be re-enabled through MSConfig after installation completed. HP and I are not responsible for any changes made in system configuration.
    Hope this helps!
