Install Windows 7 on new MBPr from FAT32 formatted USB drive

My colleague gave me a USB drive with legit Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64bit as ISO file on it (plus a folder containing Windows software to be installed afterwards.
I have partitioned the MBPr's SSD 50/50 with disk utility: one OSX partition, one MS-DOS FAT32.
When I reboot and select the USB drive to install, I get a black screen with a message on top "booting from Boot Camp Assistant created USB drive ... Failed to load BOOTMGR".
This happens trying both left and right USB ports.
Reason why I partitioned 50/50 "manually" with disk utility was that Boot Camp-Assistant did not give me an option to install from the USB after it downloaded drivers to that USB (these drivers ended up in a folder called WindowsSupport). It always asked me to insert a DVD which of course can't work on the MBPr.
Any hints much appreciated!

You must use Bootcamp Assistant to install Windows in a Bootcamp partition. Return your hard drive to a single OSx partition then start again following the Bootcamp Installation and Help guides.

If you have Lion installed, and run Boot Camp, it will create the boot flash for you, just followe the tutorial on screen. As far as I remember, this was not possible prior to Lion.

You can burn an ISO of a bootable disc back to a DVD, but not to a USB device. I don't know if Parallels is able to install from an ISO, but it may install from an external drive. This is why you should read the documentation for Parallels or ask at their tech support site.

Install Leopard on a PPC Mac from an external USB Drive

I'm trying to install Leopard in my eMac an external hard drive ( USB Samsung S2 500GB).
I restored an image of the leopard cd to my hard drive using Disk Util.
I boot in Open Firmware and a type this commands:
boot /pci@f2000000/usb1b,1/disk@1:,\\:tbxi
After this command the my system freezes and nothing else happens.

For some reason, my eMac/800 & eMac/1.42 can boot from USB Drives using Option key, but not Startup Disk pref Pane.
They also boot using the tbxi method, but searching for my notes on that as I think it only worked if you add in the Partition#.
Ah here's some of it, depends on how it was formated, ususlly 3, but 10 if OS9 drivers were installed...
Type setenv boot-device ud:3,\\:tbxi where the number after the colon corresponds to that partition number we found in step two. You should get an ok back.
Type printenv boot-device, and you should see the change displayed already. Something like:
boot-device ud:3,\\:tbxi hd:,\\:tbxi"

Are you saying that you copied your system or installer from your laptop onto a thumb drive?
Please be specific: you really can't copy the recovery partition by itself because it's hidden - you can use Apple's recovery assistant to create a bootable startup on a thumb drive with which you can boot your system and then download/install. But, I believe that method requires the same machine ID to work.
IF you have the full installer, you need to boot up from another drive (the installer may not be bootable) and then direct it to another Mac.
So where do you want to install it? And exactly what is it that you have on that thumb drive?
If you just want to install Lion on another Mac, you can simply download a fresh copy from MAS.

You can use the installation dvd from microsoft or you can download the iso file from microsoft and use that method instead.

I got the solution;
Answer to question 1 ; using a backup & recovery software to clone my current OS, then transfer to my new hard drive.
Answer to question 2 ; download all the Drivers and software ( all the application that located on the DVD kit that I have) on Lenovo Official Website.
or other solution, send it to a computer service shop and let the experts ( the workers) install it for me ( the most simple and safe way).

Restart Windows, hold down the option key.
If you have a valid OSX install, the drive should appear. Choose the OSX partition and continue.

Only follow these steps, it works for my:
Open "System Information" and note your "Boot ROM Version" (some like MBP51.007E.B06)
Navigate to "Utilities" in Finder and open the package contents of -BootCampAssistant.app- with right click. Duplicate the "Info.plist" file to the Desktop e.g. and open that with Text Editor.
You must locate the keys "DARequiredROMVersions"and "USBBootSupportedModels"
Add new strings with the information of your machine under booth keys (step 1), always respect the format, such as: <string>MBP51.007E.B06</string> for the frist key and <string>MBP51</string> for the second key.
Save changes and replace the original plist file (it may ask you to enter admin pass)
If you proceeded correctly you will see the checkbox "Create a Windows 7 USB install disk" enabled in Boot Camp Assistant.
Then you can follow the usual Boot Camp installation using your WIN8 DVD iso image . The assistant program will proceed resizing your disk partition and installing necessary drivers for your iMac.
I strongly recomends you to use thirld party's bootloaders like rEFInd (rEFIt) because of the Apple SMC versions of some old machines should not be able to boot properly from external devices like USB drives.

How to run windows from an external usb drive

Hi,
I've just install windows using bootcamp. after that i restore that windows installed bootcamp volume to an GUID partitioned external HDD. Now it is shown in startup disc, but when i select that (external HDD) volume it is unable to start.
I don't know what to do? I just want to run windows from an external usb drive like i can run mac osx.
