Install WinDVD Creator Update (wc301231u.exe) uninstalls previous version without installing update.

Using System Update, I downloaded and ran the update for WinDVD Creator (and WinDVD).
System Update reported the updates were successful and a reboot was required.
After rebooting, WinDVD was updated but WinDVD Creator was gone from the Programs menu.
I attempted to run wc301231u.exe again manually. The installation routine started but reported that no version of WinDVD Creator was found to update. Prior to the System Update version 2.5 was installed.
I do not have the original media. Any way to get this running again?
BTW, System Restore is not an option. I have it turned off.

I have posted a thread regarding the same issue.
I have run the update myself (both for WinDVD Playback v5 & WinDVD Creator v3) from the System Update utility.
Both reported as installed successfully on the System Update "Installed Updates" log though the update for WinDVD Creator v3 keeps showing up on the available updates.
The version i currently have is version 3 so i guess the update went through, the path: C:\Program Files\InterVideo\WCreator3 - so y does it keep popping up on the available updates?

How To Build exe for Previous Versions

I'm new to LabView and still struggilng a little with all the files associated with a project, so I'm sure this is a simple question.
I'm running LabView v10 for development, but wish to create an exe that can run on a v8.5 runtime version. I've seen the threads that suggest that this is as simple as 'Save For Previous Version'... but for some reason I cannot seem to make this work. I have tried saving the vi for 8.5, then choosing to build the exe, but upon being prompted to create an associated project, I'm told there are unsaved changes - that the subvi's have been converted to version 10. I've tried declining the changes and opting to use those in memory, but this also doesn't work; the built exe then gives me a runtime error, complaining it does not have LV Runtime 10.
I've tried saving the project with 'Save for Previous Version', then building. Again, this doesn't work - even though when i open, then immediately close either the project or it's contained vi's, I'm told there are unsaved changes where it has been converted to LV10 - implying the saved files were indeed saved in LV8.5 format.
I seem to be going round in circles here. Would someone mind laying out the necessary steps to build an exe that can run on a previous runtime environment?

To my knowledge, none of NI's device drivers can have multiple versions co-existing. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean if you use any hardware that you will run into problems. If the hardware is NI hardware, then they will also have specific drivers which can be in conflict, but if they are another manufacturer, it'll come down to NI-VISA probably. If you are using any NI data acquisiton cards, then you have DAQmx installed.
As long as your program doesn't access these devices, you are OK. You are not required to update the drivers if you don't use the hardware. You need to look in the relase notes for each of the drivers you need to update and see if you can find a version that supports both 8.5 and LV2010.
Even if you do this, it is not a 100% guarantee that you won't have problems. I had written an application for a customer once that used NI-RFSA. I had a control on the front panel based on a typedef in the driver. I updated my laptop for a new project, but later had to come back and make an update for the original project. The typedef had changed and caused a recompile. Nothing broke on my end. When I sent the update, it crashed on the customer PC because of the typedef change. I ended up getting them to upgrade the driver on their machine.

Save Converted Document from Previous Version without Confirmation in CC2014?

Hi Everyone,
Is there a way to save a converted document from a previous version of InDesign with the same name WITHOUT the save confirmation dialog box? By a converted document, I mean that when you open a version from CS6 for example the document tab shows [Converted], and will automatically prompt with a Save Dialog when saving. I've parsed over all Preferences but may have possibly overlooked something.

There's a droplet and script panel version in the zip archive. It copies the chosen folder's ID files older than version 10 into an Archive subfolder then updates the files. Depending on the file size it can take some time—there's a done dialog when it completes. I would test it a few times to make sure it does what you expect.

Is editing a previous version possible?

I have read through the Developer Reference (9.0.1) section on Versioning but I couldn't find the answer to this question. Is it possible to edit a previous version of a public object? I understand I can have the Family ID reference a previous version. I would like to be able to go back and edit a previous version and then save this (with out creating a new version). My guess, from what I've infered, is that this isn't possible. If it isn't possible, I'm curious why not. It seems like there could be a switch to turn on or off the ability to edit previous versions. Can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction to find some documentation on this? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you. Branching would be the best way to achieve what I want. Unfortunetly, iFS does not support multiple branches right now so I can not do what you suggest. Please correct me if I'm wrong about this. I've seen indications in older documentation that multiple branching was supported but in the latest documentation it looks like Oracle is saying that it isn't supported. Here's a posting from Alison Stokes of Oracle:

Since branching is not supported I'm trying to figure out a work around. Oracle iFS does not use 'diffing'. So instead of version 2 of a document only containing the differences from version 1, in iFS, version 2 is actually a full copy. This is why I think that it should be possible to update a previous version without creating a new version (even though this isn't standard behavior).
I'll describe my problem and maybe someone can suggest a solution. At a certain point in time we have the need to cut a realease (v1) of a document and then start working on a new release (v2). The old release must be frozen so we can go back to it and 'print' out additional copies. To freeze the old release, my idea was to just change the pointer to the physical object id of the document rather than pointing to the family id. Work on the next release would continue on in subsequent versions. The problem arises when someone finds a typo or some problem in the frozen v1 release. We need a way to be able to go back and edit this old release. I've over simplified our situation. A frozen release is not just made up of 1 public object. It could contain 100 objects, with references to each other (we are using iFS together with Epic XML editor and a iFS adapter). The only thing I can think to do is to physically copy the 100 objects making up the document so that we would now have 100 new family objects. This seems wasteful since we may only need to edit one or two of these 100 objects.

AFAIK, there is no possibility to update public object without creating a new version. If you need it, than it's wrong design, or it is not versioning, strictly speaking.
I would consider another approach: branching. You can have version 1, than version 2 and so on. Instead of changing version 1 later, you may use vesion one as a base document and create versions 1.1, 1.2, 1.3....

I have problems with IOS 6.1.3 the latest software. How can I roll it back to the previous version?

I recently updated my Iphone 3GS with software version 6.1.3 and little problems started to happen. My telephone reception drops out from time to time. A couple of my external chargers are no longer compatible. I tried looking at the Apple website to find out how to restore the previous version without any luck. Can anyone provide some guidance as to where to find it, please ? Thanks.

As much as I want to agree with you. it couldn't have been co-incidental that both chargers were working a few days ago but not after the new software was upgraded. Although my iphone is an earlier generaton model, but I got it new at an Apple Store only a couple of months ago.

Modifying NTFS permissions on a Previous Version?

I am attempting to restore a file from a previous version on a DFS server. I select a previous version, Open (same results with Copy or Restore), the window opens with the list of folders, but when I attempt to open anything, I get "Windows cannot
access \\localhost\D$.....".
Technically, the account I am using should have permission, but I believe the permissions are corrupt and did not apply completely when initially set up. I can go an fix the permissions on the original folder using icacls, but how do I correct
the permission on the previous version?

What is the account you are used? If you want to restore a file from a previous version without correct permission, please try to the settings below to see if they are help:
1. Try to log on use the build in local administrator to restore.
2. You can turn off the UAC or you can revise the folder permission comparing the good folders.

How to get Previous version of a Z-Program

Hi All,
Is it possible to view the previous version of an ABAP Z Program.
Example, I created a Z pgm on 1st of oct,a request got generated, i transported it to prd server.
Next on 2nd of oct i added a new line of code in the same program & transported the request to prd.
Now i want to view the previous version(without the new line) of the same progrm.
How to do this.
Help is highly appriciated.

from menu bar UTITLITES->VERSIONS->VERSION MANAGEMENT
HERE IT WILL DISPLAY ALL THE VERSIONS OF YOUR PROGRAM
PLACE THE CURSOR ON YOUR PREVIOUS VERSION AND CLICK
ON RETRIEVE BUTTON.

This is pulling up the recently used apps bar. Most, if not all, of those apps are not running at all. This is just a list of the apps that you have used recently.

iOS 7 allows you to have your apps update automatically. Therefore, the list of what has been updated stays so that you can see what was updated, when and what the release notes say. It has been suggested that they list has a limit, much like Recents. Currently, there is no way for the user to delete the entries manually. Just try not to look at them.

Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

Firefox will not install. I keep getting a message that I have to restart my computer in order for updates to a previous version can be installed.

Firefox alerted me that an update was available. I allowed firefox to install it. Firefox now has EVERY web site "Untrusted" and will not allow me to go there, not even to Microsoft's support page. How do I roll back to the previous version of Firefox?
