Installaion error "Some other database applications ,ight be still running"
Hi,
I am facing a problem while installing developer trail version. Below is the error.
FCO-00011 The step installClientSoftware with step key |NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|2|0|NW_DBClient|ind|ind|ind|ind|9|0|NW_ADA_DBClient|ind|ind|ind|ind|4|0|Sdb_ClientSoftware_Dialogs|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|Sdb_ClientSoftware|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|installClientSoftware was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step :The database installer reported an error. DIAGNOSIS: Some database applications might still be running. SOLUTION: Check the log file sdbinst.log and C:\sapdb\data\wrk\MaxDBRuntimeForSAPAS_install_<date>_<time>.log.).
Now the installation struck at "Install database client". I have checked all the place that I know in windows like "Processes" and "Services" to see any MaxDB instance is running. I could not find any such. So I am thinking There will not be any applications which can acces database. unfortunatly installation step is thinking it as if there were some other applications running on it.
Any help to solve would be a great help.

I have been using my iPad with sim for weeks now, just 24 hrs ago the message I am having is no SIM card installed, I tried it with some other SIM card same same still pop up. What can I do pls
ok, I did, and it said again congrats your iPhone is unlocked, but, when it said there was a new carrier update, I cancelled it, but, it asked me again, I cancelled again, I guess I'm scared it will lock it again if I allow the carrier update.
Oh, there it goes again, this time on the phone, arg. I hit update, I hope it doesn't freak out.
I'm glad I didn't destroy the SIM like I almost did. But, it will come out again, longer battery life with the cell portion turned off. -

I downloaded Photoshop Extended about a week ago... the second time I opened it, an error message came up saying "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." So I uninstalled it, then re-intalled it. I was able to open it successfully after that - and I used it once. I have just gone to open it again and it is reading the same error. This is very frustrating - why is it doing this? I don't want to have to unintall and reinstall everytime I want to use it. Please help
I want to bump this topic, again. So far the clues I've found are that there may be problems when the program was installed in one user account, and used in a different one. Perhaps there is a language setting, too. Can anyone give tips on this error for Mac, specifically Lion OS?

Firefox hangs with an error message something like - Script not complete or still running.
I cannot uninstall Firefox with the uninstall program routine in the Control Panel and the Mozilla uninstall helper.exe program will not run either. How do I completely uninstall Firefox so I can make a clean reload?

I just download the 4.0 version and my scroll pad on my laptop won't work. I have to use my arrow keys or the side bar on the side. The scroll pad works with Internet Explorer and anywhere else just not with Firefox's newest version.
This one is easy. The shortcut is for the old iTunes, that is why it won't work.
I assume you are using Windows.
If so, go to the bottom left of your screen and click the start button. Go up to programs and hold your cursor over it. A list of all your programs should pop up to the right. Move the curso over to iTunes. There should be an "about iTunes" and an iTunes logo there. Right click on the iTunes logo and click create shortcut (you can also just drag it out to your desktop). That will give you a desktop shortcut for your new version. -

I use XPpro FF7.01This sounds like a routing issue. Call setup requires the endpoints (phones) to be able to reach the CUCM server. Once the call is answered the CUCM is out of the picture and the routing is between the endpoint.
Make sure the routing is working correctly between both remote voice vlans. I'm thinking that routing is only working in one direction. -
Applications become unclickable, still run in background?
Some users (important note: _All running Intel Macs, All ran the Migration Assistant, 10.4.10_) are finding that certain applications (Microsoft Office, Mail ... ) are becoming "orphaned" from the window server.
They launch fine, after a while however, they become unclickable!
You can see them in the background, but you cannot bring them to the foreground. Clicking the dock icon does not bring the application to the front - the dock does not even acknowledge the application is running!
You can control the application by holding control down (as if it were the inactive window, which it is)
It also means you cannot quit the application without terminating the process in Activity Monitor.

Notice in the latter image, that the mail process no longer has the dock icon -- this is when it has became "orphaned" from the WindowServer.
I've tried reinstalling the Combo Updater, Diskwarrior, Repairing permissions and swapping the app for a replacement application off a different machine. I think there is a rather large bug in the Migration Assistant.

If the program has logic to transfer the data to appliacation layer, then it works. Other wise it is not possible to download the data into your desktop by running in Background.

How to finds applications that are still running?
How do I find applications that are running on my computer? I can't install a new version of Google Drive because I get the message that this application is open. When I bring up the panel to do a force quit I do not see that application listed. Once I find the app running how do I quit it?

BryanUse Activity Monitor (in /Applications/Utilities). After opening it, go to View menu (on the menu bar) > All Processes, and quit the processes related to the apps that the installer needs.
Another way is to start up in safe mode by holding the Shift key while your Mac is starting. This allows you to install any application without any problem, as no third-party apps are running -

How a user of external database can be connected to other database

I have two databases A and B. I have one user XYZ on database B.we want user XYZ to be connected to database A and also wants to create few tables on database A. Can you please tell me what are list of steps i need to perform.

RJ.You can create a database link between database A and B to manipulate data in database A while connected to B. But you cannot create tables using database links. It does not allow DDLs in remote database. Tranparent gateway is a database link between oracle and some other database.
Syntax is to create the link in B is
create database link <name> connect to <user_in_A> identified by <password_in_A> using 'A'; -

It used to run fine on 6.1 sp1 .

I managed to resolve my problem,I had sax2 , xp and xt parsers placed in the WEB-INF\lib
directory of my application in addition to my own jar file. I removed the parsers
, and now my application is running fine.
It is strange though, since my application used to load and work flawlessly on
weblogic 6 as well as weblogic 6.1 sp1 with the parsers in the lib directory....

Some database applications might still be running
Hi All
I've installed Enterprise Portal 7 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.4. where 5 other sap instances are installed all running on sapdb 7.7
I had to uninstall the portal and on reinstalling I had to remove entries from /sapdb/data/config/Databases.ini, /sapdb/data/config/Installations.ini and delete all files under /sapdb/data/config/ containing the <SID> for the installation to continue. But the installation get to the step "install database server software" and then gives the following error "MDB-07020 The database installer reported an error. DIAGNOSIS: Some database applications might still be running. SOLUTION: Check the log file sdbinst.log."
In the sdbinst.log file the following are found:
cannot do update check - test file "/sapdb/<SID>/db/pgm/kernel" not found
During that step the install calls "/sapdb/<SID>/db -profile Server -o sdb -g sdba -b is written to the logfile /saptemp/temp/sdbinst.log" but the /sapdb/<SID>/ folder does not exist.
I've tried stopping all other sap instances on the server.
I have also tried using a different <SID> but the same error occurs.

不过就算关也不能随随便便的就关了，把自己得到的一些想法和大家说说，希望对大家有点帮助。
这个版本的安装，不是SAP正规软件产品的安装，除了BASIS以外、大家就放松心态吧。
出现问题之前，最好做充足的准备。
如果真的打算安装这个版本，或者其他的版本，最好重新安装操作系统，干净系统安装，一般没啥问题。
别用啥优化版的。就找个未修改版的windows就行。
还有一招以备不时之需。就是装好操作系统后，马上做GHOST，然后再安装NW。
一旦出现问题，也好恢复干净的系统再安装NW。
