Installation Adobe Premiere Elements not working

I'm trying to install the Adobe Premiere Elements 13 but it's not working. I downloaded the file for the trial version, after downloading i also had to download something called Akamai netsession Client ? I dont know what it is, but i installed it as well. But everytime i want to open the setup it says that an error occurred. I cannot open adobe premiere elements, what should i do? i did the installation 4 times now, it's still not working

Bin soeben beim Installieren. Falls mal jemand das selbe Problem haben sollte... nach Installation von SP2 für Vista (dachte ich hätte das schon gehabt) und Benutzung der selben CD wie für die Installation von PSE 8 funzt es nun... Darauf muss man erstmal kommen... 2 Programme, 2 CD`s die Beide gleich aussehen... und da soll man 2 Mal die Selbe nehmen... egaaal.
Thread könnt ihr, wenn ihr wollt schliessen.

Also your direct download link was helpful, as the package is not able to update from the help/update function.
Any idea why the update functionality is not working properly?
I still need another update for camera raw, for both photoshop and premiere. I found links for direct dowloads for versions 6.5 and 6.6. Also the direct links end in a crash, see attachment.
Do you have suggestions?

Great news. Great job in working through the details to get to the solution.
I was waiting for more information from you so that I could give you version specific information on the how to.
But you seemed to have found the paths needed without supplemental instructions.
The two major troubleshooting tools that I would use when the Elements Organizer is involved
a. delete the psa.prf file
and/or
b. create a new catalog.
Best wishes as you move forward in your Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 projects.
By the way, if you are not working from the 9.0.1 Update, good idea to do that.

You can do that update with the program closed....do not bother with Help Menu/Update for this update. Use the link instead.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what Windows computer are you running it?
The 150:30 error is probably indicative of a licensing problem.
How long has the problem existed?
If it persists, please check out the following Adobe document related to troubleshooting this type of matter...perhaps starting with
solution 2.

OSX Mavericks 10.9.3 - Why is Adobe Premiere CC not working after upgrading to this?

I updated to the latest version of OS Mavericks (10.9.3) yesterday on my iMac. After it completed, I was no longer able to open Adobe Premiere CC. Every time I try to open a project (either new or existing), I get an error message that a serious error has taken place that requires Premiere to shut down. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling/restarting, but it doesn't seem to work. Need to work on edit projects urgently. What is best way to resolve please?

Problème de réinstallation Adobe Premiere Elements 10

Suite à une panne d’ordinateur sous Windows 7-64bit, j’ai désinstallé puis réinstallé Adobe Première Elément 10 avec les DVD et les Licences valides ,la réinstallation se déroule sans erreur, mais gros problème ,le moniteur de prévisualisation ne fonctionne pas quand on veut lire un projet (nouveau ou ancien),Ou quand on ouvre une scène (format MTS ) ou une photo de media importé. Alors que tout fonctionné avant. ???? J’ai paramétré mes préférences dans organizer .
Tous les pilotes sont à jour , carte graphique :nvidia GeForce GTX 670 - 2 Go

Welcome to the forum.
The PrE 10, and the nVidia G-Force video card, throw up a red flag for me.
The newest video drivers from nVidia have a big problem, that shows up in PrE 10. The "cure" has been to rollback the nVidia video driver, to a previous one. Both Adobe and nVidia are aware of this problem, but so far, nVidia does not seem to have a "fix" for their driver.
Rollback the nVidia video driver (download and install a previous version from the nVidia Web site) to a previous version, reboot and test.

Multi processing / GPU Adobe Premiere Pro not working fast

Hi I've got a Six core CPU and i'm wonderring why when i do my render it don't use all the power I've. The maximum is about 30% of the possibility, sometime it's higher like 80% but why it's not alway 100% because I can't use my computer during this time, so the fastest would be the best... ?
I think it's because I've got After effect composition in my timeline but why it's slow ?
It's the same for stabilization effect also (which seems to be mono thread).
And I'm also vey supprised the GPU almost never help... I've got a GTX 680 and I never see the usage go above 15% .... And you still have to do lot of render, because with many effect it's not realtime (False advertising from NVIDIA/ADOBE grrr)
What is the problem/ solution ?

Hi thanks for your answer Harm Millard.
It's for render previews, source material is DSLR H.264. It's a 3930K O/C 32GB of Ram SSD for OS and SSD for media.
After posting it seems to be my max is 30% when it's an After Effect Comp, and after it depends on the effect sometimes it's 80% sometimes 100%.... Weird.
Another question, Is there a way to do background rendering like FCPX because for play I don't use all the power, but I would prefer my computer do something when I just cut ... ? Because if i change a little setting I have to render for 10 min, and can't continue to edit... It's just not efficient...
I know about the color signification, but I mean you apply just few effect and it's red, and you need to render... :-(
I hope the next version will be outrageously fast, because I just have the feeling It's not optimized for big workstation. I don't know how the workstation with 16 cores use all this power in editing software..

It is not surprising if software that old does not work with a modern operating system. You should see about upgrading to the most recent release, but try before you buy.

Installation of Adobe Premiere Elements 12 always fails

During the installation of my Adobe Premiere Elements 12, I always receive an error message (during the processing of linked components) which says:" During the installation an error has occured."
I have purchased Adobe Premiere Elements online and use the appropriate key provided by the retailer.
My Adobe Premiere Elements 10 works fine though but I would rather like to get my new program going.
I have tried all Adobe error correction proposels already but unfortunately in vain.
Any suggestions how to proceed?

J’ai fait tout ce qui est indiqué est rien à faire ! Qui peut m’aider ?

Is Premiere Elements 8 working correctly for you?

Sorry, to beat an old horse but I do not want to end a discussion that has not been resolved.
I would like to keep this open as I think knowing who is having problems and on what type of video would be quite helpful to Adobe support who is looking to help me, they said they would be watching the forums and my posts to see what issues I and others are having to try and resolve them.
I am not able to edit HD videos using Genius G-Shot HD520 camcorder but I am able to edit SD videos using Coby Snapp Cam3000.
I can edit videos from both cameras in Windows Movie Maker and Cyberlink PowerDirector.
When i try to edit videos that are high definition the program does not respond even after leaving it for 1/2 hour or so.
I am also having the program not shut down correctly at times even when editing standard video, parts of the program still are running even though windows does not show it in task manager. A program called Winpatrol still sees it running and the core load shows way too much activity after the program has supposedly stopped, even an hour afterward. This does not happen all the time, only sporadically.

I would like to get some feedback from users of Adobe Premiere Elements 8, not others.
1. Does Adobe Premiere Elements 8 work for you with standard videos for simple editing?

I would like to get real problems that are things that the program should be doing and is not.
Issues like freezing, not importing or exporting video or failing to edit a type of video is what I think support would like to hear about.

     Never. Crashes every single time I have tried to use the program. It crashes at various random times on miniDV video from a Panasonic GS400. Magix, PowerDirector and Widows MM edit this same source material without issue. I have absolutely no interest in spending countless hours on the phone with a guy from India or wherever telling me to uninstall and reinstall the program or do a clean install of Windows, or reading something from a script that obviously has nothing to do with the problem, only to have the phone conversation cut off and it be impossible to reach the same person again, only to have to start over. Here is the latest crash example.
1.       Launched PRE8
2.       Opened a project from the welcome screen. Project consists of DV-AVI files from a Canon GS400. Project is 23 minutes and 39 seconds in duration.
3.       Resized the timeline using the “+” and “-“ clickies.
4.       Clicked the Edit tab.
5.       Clicked Transitions.
6.       Clicked the existing “Stretch In” transition on Video Track 1 and pressed the “Delete” key.
7.       Clicked and dragged the “Cross Zoom” transition between the first and second clip on Video Track 1, where the “Stretch In” transition was previously located.
8.       Rendered the Timeline by pressing “Enter.”
9.       Previewed the video near the newly added “Cross Zoom” transition.
10.   Double clicked the transition in the Timeline and scrubbed the duration to approximately 5 and a half seconds.
11.   Rendered the Timeline by pressing “Enter.”
12.   Previewed the video near the just lengthened “Cross Zoom” transition.
13.   Saved the project by pressing the “Save” icon near the top right hand corner of the program.
14.   Clicked the “Disk Menus” and selected the “Holiday and Events” drop down.
15.   Selected the “Blinking Lights” menu and clicked on “Apply.”
16.   Clicked the “Preview” button.
17.   Clicked “Play” in the “Preview” window and allowed the video to play for a few seconds and clicked “Pause ||”.
18.   “X’ed” out of the “Preview” window and clicked the “Done” button.
19.   Clicked the “Edit” tab and clicked “Clip Art.”
20.   Scrolled down the “Clip Art” window and clicked and dragged the “Travel Compass” to Video Track 2 at the 56 second mark.

22.   Previewed the video near the just-entered clip art.
23.   Moved the Timeline indicator over the Travel Compass clip art in Video Track 2.
24.   Right clicked the Travel Compass in the Preview window and changed the Magnification to 25%.
25.   Clicked “Undo” 4 times and clicked “Redo” 4 times.
26.   Rendered the Timeline by pressing “Enter.”
27.   Right clicked the Preview window and changed the Magnification to “Fit.”
28.   Previewed the Timeline near the Travel Compass clip art.
29.   Selected the “Travel Compass” clip art in Video Track 2 and pressed “Delete.”
30.   Went to pick up my daughter and returned 20 minutes later.
31.   Rescued the laptop from sleep.
32.   Clicked the Effects button.
33.   Under “GPU Effects” clicked and dragged the “Ripple (Circular)” effect to the second clip on Video Track 1.
34.   Rendered the Timeline by pressing “Enter.”
35.   Scrubbed the Timeline to before the video clip with the recently added “Ripple” effect.

I am not getting them resolved. I am posting to this forum seeking answers. I have gone through all the proper Adobe channels with no results. Check around for multiple threads. I have sent numerous crash reports to Adobe with no response. No one on this forum nor Adobe has been able to provide a solution that actually works. Again, Adobe hasn't even tried.
Everything I have stated in this thread is a fact and my actual experience, not speculation. I too would like the thread to remain open in the hopes of a resolution. Discourse should not be cut short because it goes against Adobe. After all, this is a user to user forum that Adobe does not even monitor right, and we as a user group should seek and demand the truth and solutions without being sensored. I have seen no behavior by anyone in any thread that I have been involved in that should have caused it to be locked. I have seen healthy differences of opinion and a lot of useless informationas it relates to the problem at hand, but no discourse that was hostile or personal attacks that should have caused a lock.

Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Playback Stops

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on a new HP workstation. I've created several projects without problems. I've recently had some lost media files and re-installed Premiere Elements. Now when I click play, it plays for a short time and then stops. I click again and it plays for a short time and stops again. Any suggestions?

Typically, I think about Scratch Disks as storage places to where the project automatically sends its files generated as part of one of its activities - thinking
preview files, conformed audio, autosaves, encoded files. An Adobe document describes them as per the following link.

You do not want your computer bogged down by pile ups of these files from project to project.
With your next projects, I would look at beforehand pointing all the Scratch Disks (Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks) to that E drive with the 1.8 TB space (assumed
most of it free).
With those clips with the .mod file extension, right click the file name, select Rename from the drop down list.
When you select Rename, typically the name part of the file, not the file extension, is highlighted for the type in.
file name.mod. In that case, with your mouse cursor, click between the . and the mod and drag the mouse curser
to the right over the mod. Then type mpeg or .mpg.
A good starting place to explore for best settings for your described source might be
Project Preset set manually to
NTSC
DV Standard
or you might want to experiment with
NTSC
FLIP
Flip Mino and Ultra 29_97p

Adobe Premiere Elements 7 Smartfix

I am working with APE 7 video and cannot get smartfix to be activated, I cannot find where to use it nor am I getting any dialog box. Here is what I found in the help file...I will run smart tagging, then drag the file over to the sceneline, but no dialog box.
Adobe® Premiere® Elements 8 facilitates auto correction of quality problems in video files that have Smart Tags associated to them. When you add such clips to the Sceneline or Timeline, the SmartFix dialog is displayed. Click Yes to confirm the correction of clips."

I don't think there is a smartfix in v7. Searching Adobe Help for 'smartfix' shows only three items, all of which are v8:

Im trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements on Window 8. The Windows Installer is not working.. some window pops up with an error message and it does not install

I get the following window pop up after trying to install Adobe Premiere Elements. After it prompts me to select the language i get this:

I think I figued it out... But why installations instructions didn't come up when I inserted the disk was very annoying. And because they didn't, Adobe should post th installations instructions somewhere on their support site. Not here now, which is also annoying.
