Installation CS5.5
Installing CS5.5 again. Last 3% i get error message to close WINWORD.EXE but i cannot find this; everything else is closed; installation will not complete. please help, thanks
Hi WinWord.exe is the executable for MS Word.
If Word is open then close Word.
If Word is not open then you will need to manually kill the process. To do this:-
1. Open up a command (DOS) prompt
2. Type the following and then hit the enter button:
taskkill /IM winword.exe

J'ai utilisé le adobe cs5 install cleaner (ou un truc du genre), installé en admin, virer tous les produits adobe avant d'installer cs...rien à faire.
Seulement:

Je suis allé faire un tour dans les dossier, et...la taille de "Assets1_1.zip" est 0ko... Je l'ai téléchargé deux fois depuis http://trials2.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/STAM/CS5_5/win32/MasterCollecti on_CS5_5_LS4.7z et une fois depuis le adobe downloader (qui, se dit en passant, est une vrai crasse...) et c'est toujours exactement le même problème.
Les fichiers seraient-ils corrompus chez adobe?
Autre question: En téléchargeant la version LS1 (anglais), serait-il possible de récupérer les fichiers "Assets1_1.zip"de la LS1 et de les réinjecter dans la LS4 (donc, sont-ils les mêmes???)?
De plus, étant donné qu'adobe ne propose ni un lien de téléchargement direct sur leur site, ni la checksum des composant, il est strictement impossible de savoir si la corruption a eu lieu lors du téléchargement (mais j'ai un doute, vu qu'en téléchargeant deux fois le même fichier, j'ai les mêmes erreurs, et la même checksum, j'en déduit que le problème ne vient ni de moi, ni de ma connection, mais d'adobe)...
Compliquer l'installation d'une version d'essai, c'est pas très bon pour la réputation du logiciel, sinon de l'entreprise si vous voyez ce que je veux dire...

Can't update after installation CS5 to new hard disc, Help?
I installed CS5 Design Premium to my new hard disc, installation was successful. However, the update failed. The feedback of failure: "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." When I press customer care of the feedback, it directs me to a web saying: "Error "This serical number is not for a qualifying product..." when installing an upgrade or upsell"

Means what it says.

Extension manager on Mac os 10.8.5 doesn't installs CS5.5 plugins
It shows error as "plugin does not support valid signature".
I am using Basicdlg plugins of CS5.5 and following are the content of mxi file.Using this mxi file and basicdlg plugin create a zxp and then swatch that it is installing on MAC OS 10.4 and 10.6 for CS 5.5, but it gives the error "Extension does not contain valid signature" during installation of same ZXP on MAC OS 10.8

Error "inconsistent database" on DVD installer CS5
i reformated my disc and tried to install CS 5 Design Standard, but i get this error every time again,
(error "inconsistent database" on DVD installer) although i dont have any product on my disc (fresh formated and new system),
so it was useless to use the adobe cs5 cleaner tool (which i used to try, but there werent any things to remove)
- 10.8.2 on macbook pro i7
- installing CS 5 Design Standard from external USB-Superdrive (no superdrive in my macbook pro anymore)
next, i tried to duplicate the CS 5 Design Standard Installer DVD with Toast and made an image on my internal 500GB SSD,
but same error again, when trying to install from this image: "inconsistend database"
idea: can i download the "CS 5 Design Standard" Trial version and install that & register with my serial number?
(tried to find, but couldnt find any cs5 version at adobe.com)

What is the exact error message you are receiving? You may also want to see Installation, launch log errors | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CCM - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/installation-launch-log-errors-creative.html.
It sounds like this issue occured when you tried copying the application over. If you can provide the exact error it might still be possible to recover from this action.

Installation CS5 Extended (Student Edition) Window 8.1
Installation of CS5 Extended (Student Edition) (bought in 2012) --> possible to install on a new Window 8.1 computer?
The computer where CS5 Extended (Student Edition) was installed on (Windows Vista) needs to be replaced. I was not sure if the student version of Photoshop CS5 extended could be installed on a windows 8 computer. I only asked to avoid problems.

Problems installation Cs5 and Cs6
My OS is windows 7
I had Adobe cs5.5 installed, try upgrading to Cs6 trial but got error.
Then try to reinstall Cs5.5 but now I can`t do it, it always stops in "Adobe Help installing"
WARNING: DS013: Payload {D38116C8-C472-4BB0-AD6F-0C1DD1320D1D} AdobeHelp 4.0.0.0 is already installed and the session payload {7EABC54B-02C3-4DA1-9EB4-974CE7414066} AdobeHelp 3.4.0.0 has no upgrade/conflict relationship with it.
The only thing I can install is Photoshop Cs6.I already did, not work, Cs5.5 and Cs6 always stop in: "Installing adobe help..."

I just wanted to update in case anyone in the future has a similiar experience. Too bad this advice was not offered by the "experts" here.

Unable to launch PS CS5 64 bit
I cannot launch PS CS5 64 bit, I had to rebuild my pc after a hard drive failure. I have uninstalled and reinstalled already, all drivers are up to date on the machine. Windows 7 is the operating system. I recieve the following error in the logs. Thanks for any help!

Trying to install CS5.5 web premium on a new Windows 8 computer
I am trying to install CS5.5 web premium on a new Windows 8 computer. I had installed it before but Illustrator would not run. I tried reinstalling just Illustrator that did not work. So I uninstalled the whole suite, and planned to reinstall the whole thing. But I get "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." So I download ASA, and try to run the .exe and nothing happens.
Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, then try again. Also check this:

Photoshop CS5.1 ne veux pas s'ajouter dans la liste "ouvrir avec"
bonjour,
Depuis l'upgrade de phtoshop CS5 (64bit) à CS5.1 (64bit) sous Windows 7, avec ensuite désinstallation du CS5 une fois assuré que ça tournai bien (il parait que ça n'est pas une chose a faire dans cette ordre, mais je ne savais pas), mes .psd n'ont plus l'icone bleu spécifique avec écrit .PSD dessus, mais juste un rectangle blanc.De plus je ne peux pas associé photoshop.exe a ce format de fichier car il refuse de s'ajouter à la liste "ouvrir avec".
Je suis sous un compte utilisateur standard et ces problèmes ne se présnte pas lorsque je me log en admin.
Ce que j'ai essayé (j'install toujours photoshop sans faire "éxécuter ce programme en tant qu'administrateur"):
-double cliquer sur le psd pour ouvrir le fenêtre "ouvrir avec", coché (ou non) "toujours ouvrir avec ce programme", mais photoshop refuse de s'ajouter a cette liste.
-désinstaller CS5.1, ré-installé CS5 pour le désintallé a nouveau proprement options cochés "préférences" pour etre sur de désinstallé un maximum, ré-installer CS5.1.Toujours pareil
-en utilisateur standard, ouverture d'un explorer en mode admin pour éspérer que photoshop.exe (qui se trouve dans C:/programmes/Adobe/adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64bit)/Photoshop.exe) veuille bien s'ajouté a la liste "ouvrir avec".Echec
-tentatives avec le photoshop du mode x86.Echec
-utilisation d'un logiciel gratuit "OpenWithView" qui avait fontionné pour d'autre, et recherche d'une entrée de la base de registre qui listerai l'ancien photoshop.Echec, c'est bien le bon et même désactivé ça ne fontionne pas....
J'ai éssayé pas mal de truc mais rien n'y fait et c'est irritant de voir ce carré blanc et de devoir ouvrir photoshop pour pouvoir y glisser le psd au lieu d'un simple clic.
De plus il semble que se problème existe depuis longtemps, comment se fait il que adobe (ou windows je ne sais pas qui est fautif) ne sois pas encore résolu j'ai vu des gens sous CS3 ou CS2 qui avaient déjà ce problème et n'ont semble-t-il pas trouvé de solution.

Pour ne pas surcharger je n'ai pas précisé que j'avais déjà regardé là bas.
dans "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\edit\command" et "....open\command" j'ai:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe" "%1",
Ce qui correspond bien a la bonne version.J'avais même essayé sans espoir de renommer "Program Files" en "Programmes" mais ça n'a pas marcher, même si je n'ai pas redémarrer pour voir, présummant que ça aurait agit instantanément.
Et pour la ré-installation oui j'ai essayé plein de fois dans tout les sens, c'est ce que j'ai essayé de démontré dans ma première liste.Je ne vois pas comment désinstallé plus a part avec un utilitaire spécialisé mais ça va encore être long.J'essayerai peut être ce soir.La quantité de temps passé sur ce problème me semble démesurée pour simplement avoir la bonne icône et le bon programme associé...
