Installation damaged
A previous update and uninstall went wrong and each time I boot my laptop I get the following error message; "This installation of this application is damaged. Try reinstalling or contacting the publisher for assistance."
I have tried using older installers to reinstall to uninstall but with no success. Have waited for the recent update but still unable to install.
Laptop OS is Vista.
Have tried all possible solutions from intranet without success. I dont know what else to try so any assistance would be great.
Latest install appeared to be a success but when I try to reinstall BBC iPlayer the error message reappears.

I had been getting the same "installation damaged" message for about a year or so, didn't know what it was about,
decided to uninstall adobe air, then got the message that adobe air was "missing", so finally reinstalled & am now
back to the "installation damaged" message. I have windows xp on my desktop.

Adobe AIR installation damaged
I get the 'Adobe AIR application installation damaged' message every time when starting help from any of the applications in CS5. How can I repair this safely to get help working?
I'm running OSX 10.6.8 previously upgraded from 10.5. I also started with CS4 and upgraded to CS5. I do not remember in what order sw where changed if that is of importance. I also remember that the upgrade from CS4 to CS5 left alot of CS4 stuff behind that I later uninstalled to free disk space.
I have had this problem some time but I haven't been i n a hurry to solve the problem until now. The last event I remember related to this was that in the middle of stressed work I rejected an update of the AIR sw with the believe that the update will be available later.
As soon as I start help in say DW I get the message as described above and also the instruction to 'Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance' regarding AIR. What does that mean? As far as I can see the Adobe AIR is not part of the CS5 so it is not covered in the general installation app. There are separate install and unistall apps for AIR and when trying them out the install asks for a package that I have no clue of what it is and the unistall alerts that if I continue other dependent applications will not work. I aborted both tries. I cannot affort a production stop in using the DW & FW at this time.
Finally, I'm not using Adobe AIR as far as I know or mabe I am without knowing it when using DW. It probably just came with CS4 or 5. The help complains and points out AIR as damaged as soon as help starts. The applications in CS5 are running fine as far as I can se. -
Hello, I keep getting a message on start up of ADOBE AIR. 'The installation of this application is damaged. Try reinstalling or contacting the publisher for assistance'. My system is VISTA. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Air without any resolution. I have run Revo to try and fully uninstall, and then reinstalled Air, again without solving the problem. I am not a tech person, so can anyone help in laymans terms please? Thanks, John.

AIR won't install after Yosemite with Error "Installer Damaged"
Error message ""Adobe AIR Application Installer" is damaged and can't be opened"
I've uninstalled previous versions,using uninstaller, removed all incidents of AIR files, and my computer is not connected to another Hard Drive or Time Machine. Does anyone know an answer to this? Thanks.

I was having this same exact issue, and I actually referred to your post hoping for a fix (that I obviously did not find), however, I did discover a work around!!! I use "Adobe AIR" for my "Pandora One Desktop Application", but every time I opened the installer for "Pandora One" it gave me the same exact error. Here is what I did to fix it (Hoping it helps y'all too):
BEFORE starting ensure that the "AIR Program" that you want to install is downloaded and located in your "Downloads" folder
Uninstall "Adobe AIR" using the included uninstaller (Navigate to your "Utilities" folder in a "New Finder Window" in order to find this, once you're there you can't miss it)
Delete all previous "Adobe AIR" downloads
Download a new "Adobe AIR" Installer from "Adobe" (Sounds redundant I know, but bear with me)
Install "Adobe AIR" using the most recent download
VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL THE "AIR PROGRAM" YET
Once the "Adobe AIR" Installation is complete navigate to "File" and select "New Finder Window"
Once there select the "Applications" folder from the menu bar on the left of the window (Should be under "Favorites")
Navigate to your "Utilities" Folder (Again)
Locate the icon for "Adobe AIR Application Installer" and open it; This will open a new window
Once the new window is open, navigate to your "Downloads" folder and locate the "AIR Program" that you want to install select the "AIR Program" and click "Open" (Bottom right hand corner)
TaDa!!!
Following those steps should culminate in the initialization of the install process for the program that you weren't able to install before, and from there it is business as usual (selecting and answering to the necessary install prompts for the "AIR Program"). It seems like there is a glitch somewhere between "Yosemite" and "Adobe AIR" that prevents the "Adobe AIR Application Installer" from auto-running properly when you try to open the sub-program. However, initializing the "Adobe AIR Application Installer" FIRST allows it to get up and running before the sub-program communicates with it. This fixed it for me right away, please let me know whether it works for your specific "Adobe AIR"/"AIR Program" set, if not I will download your "AIR Program" and see if I can't find another way. Also, has anyone contacted either Adobe Support or Apple Support directly with this yet??

Folio Builder Installer Damaged
I recently launched my Folio Builder panel and signed it. I told me that I need to install an update. I followed the link and downloaded the update. When I opened the installer, I got this message: "Installer.app" is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image. "Install.app" is on the disk image "FolioPanel-CS55-12.2.3.dmg". Firefox.app downloaded this disk image today at 11.34 AM."
I tried to also install the Folio Builder tools but also got the same message.
I am working on a Mac OSX and recently upgraded to Mountain Lion. Could that be the issue? If so, how do I resolve?Turn off Gatekeeper.

CS6: Installation Damaged on Mac

I just downloaded and installed PPro 6 on my Mac (Lion 10.7.3). When I start Premiere, I get a dialog that pops up and says that the installation is damaged and I should reinstall the app. I've done that, but I continue to get that same dialog:
It appears Premiere is running OK other than that dialog. But I'm not 100% sure yet. Thoughts? I asked this in the "Installation" section and someone suggested I re-ask it over here.

jasI forgot to update this thread (vs the one in the Installation forum). My 'fix' for this was to format the OS disk and reinstall Lion, unfortunately. The basic culprit seems to be that Adobe's software installations from various packages (Photoshop, Premiere, AIR, the download manager, etc, etc) spew files all over the OS's system and library directories. And unfortunately, even the various remover tools can't or don't find all of the files Adobe leaves in place, so problems like the above happen.
The cleansing power of fire helps, unfortunately.

Widget Browser installer damaged
Wondering if anyone out there could help me out? I'm trying to install the Widget Browser, but I keep getting an error.
This is what pops up.
"Sorry an error has ocurred.
The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."
Any ideas how to get around this?
I'm running SL: 10.6.6

Premiere Pro 6 on Mac: Installation Damaged

I just downloaded and installed PPro 6 on my Mac (Lion 10.7.3). When I start Premiere, I get a dialog that pops up and says that the installation is damaged and I should reinstall the app. I've done that, but I continue to get that same dialog:

You mentioned you were using Akamai to download the software? Do you have a volume license or retail license?
I ordered a downloadable upgrade from 5.5 to 6 as soon as you guys announced back in March or April. I got email this morning saying it was ready for download. The link in that email took me to a web page that allowed me to either download the Akamai installer or the DMG file directly. That Akamai installer failed for me, so I downloaded the DMG directly.

Contact Apple at the "Contact Us" link at the bottom, right of this page and ask for a DVD replacement.
Without the DVD you cannot do anything. -
New to mac, please help - installer damaged!!!
i apologize up front this may be scattered and rambling but i hope it makes sense, as i am in panic mode!
I was recently trying to update microsoft office 2008 mac and once the download was complete it tried to install and failed! It said "installer is damaged" this may be due to administrator privileges or disk permissions, etc... blah blah blah... I did a permissions repair right before the update
I have been using my iMac for about a month now, im somewhat familiar with it and everything is running fine... this is the first time i have been worried... is this the installer for that program? or my iMac?
I hope i can still install apps on my iMac... what should i do ?

When you say you tried to updated MS Office 2008 I'm assuming you already had it on your iMac and just tried to install the 12.1.5 update, is that correct? If it is I had a similar situation when I tried to update to 12.1.5. It wasn't an iMac problem it was an issue with the Office 2008. After calling MS support we did a complete uninstall of Office 2008 (don't worry you won't lose data files), then re-installed it and then downloaded the update. After doing the uninstall, reinstall and update it has been working just fine.
If you need help I would recommend calling MS, you will find the support number in it's documentation. -
Installer damaged..Every time?
I have downloaded, deleted, repeated intallation of the latest version of Adobe Flash. Each time I attempt to play a video of Flash type I get an error stating:"The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author". Hence the repeated downloading and installing. Cannot seem to find the problem.

Itunes Installation Damaged Error Windows 7
For weeks Itunes has been begging me to update my software to the new software which i didn't do until yesterday. As i did, all my music except music i bought off of itunes was gone, just gone. my playlists were all gone and the layout of the itunes was completly different. Then when i start up Itunes it gives me (The image above)
The file "ITunes Library.Itl" does not appear to be a valid itunes library file. ITunes has attempted to recover your iTunes Library and renamed this file to "Itunes library (Damaged).itl"
I tried for myself to figure what's wrong and so i unistalled the Itunes software and then reinstalled it. i still got the same message. I then called an Apple advisor for almost an hour and a half and we did the same thing i did and obviously i got the samething and then the call was hung up. Which really left me ****** off. I then waited to see if the advisor would call me back but didn't and so i called Apple again and talked with a different advisor. We spent another hour and half. We did the same thing again as the other advisor did, (at this point i'm just frustrated and ready to give up) reinstalled the new version of Itunes and i still got the same thing. I asked if i could go the previous version of itunes and he said yes. So i uninstalled the new version and put back the old version. From there, we stopped talking and hung up. I was waiting for the download to be done for the old itunes (10.7) and i got an error. Apparently the file was broken. And here i was just ready to go insane. I deleted that, and installed a different Itunes 10.7 and it downloaded and worked but i still get the same thing popping up (the image above).
I can't download any new music onto my itunes and i can't find my old playlists, nothing.

8.0 installation damages older 6.1
Wheb=n I installed and activated 8.0, my copy of 6.1 was damaged. I could no longer support our older 6.1 applications. Did I do something wrong?
What specifically was damaged?
Certain extensions can only have one version installed. For example, 8.0 comes with FieldPoint 5.0, which is not supported in 6.1 - if you install FP 5 you lose all of your FP support in 6.1. If you don't install FP 5 you don't have support for newer products like the 180x and you would probably have to manually copy the VIs from the older version into the 8.0 directory.
The only way around this is probably to keep a machine for older versions or maybe try some of those virtual computing programs which allow you to easily switch between your various "PCs".

Why the Text disappears when I rotate it using Free Transform Tool?
Hi, My Text is visible before rotating it to verticle position using Free Transform Tool. But when once it is rotated to verticle position the text disappears from the Stage. And it is not an animated Text as well? What is the problem? Thanks.
