Installation Error: Keeps asking for rebo

"You have previously installed drivers without rebooting.
Please reboot and try again."
Oh, I have, and I'm losing patience. I've removed every Creative product from the add/remove program list, deleted the leftover directory in program files, scrubbed the registry using ccleaner, and rebooted about a thousand times. Why can't I install these drivers? Please help!

Are you sure you have completely uninstalled any previous Creative software? Better follow this procedure, just to be safe.
To cleansweep Sound Blaster audio cards under Windows XP
Go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs and uninstall all listings related to your audio card. Do not restart your computer when prompted so.
Go to Control Panel, and switch o Classic View. Click System, Hardware tab, Device Manager button and delete all Creative Labs and Sound Blaster sound card entries in Sound, Video and Game Controllers as well as any previous sound card entries from the Device Manager.
Reboot the computer and cancel out of any driver installation if you are prompted.
Insert the Creative Sound Blaster installation CD into your CD-ROM dri've. Exit from the installation wizard if it autoruns.
Click Start, Run and then Browse. Browse to Z:\Audio\Drivers\CTZAPXX.EXE, where Z represents the CD Rom Dri've.
Select Driver Uninstallation for WDM drivers and click OK.
When prompted to restart, say No.
Click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
Check the box next to Selecti've Startup and deselect <B>Load Startup Items.</B>
Select the SERVICES tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services.
Uncheck all results and click OK.
Browse to the C:\Temp folder and C:\Windows\TEMP (if it exists) - all files and folders in the temp folder need to be either deleted or moved to a new folder.
Browse to Program Files, Creative and then to a Sound Blaster folder (depending on your particular card), and delete the Sound Blaster Folder - if you get a file that won't delete, right click on the file, click Properties and clear all the attributes. The file should then be able to be deleted.
Empty the Recycle Bin
Restart the computer, and reinstall the Sound Blaster drivers and applications if desired.
Click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
Insert a check to the left of Selecti've Startup and select <B>Load Startup Items.</B>
Select the SERVICES tab, and check back in the items that were unchecked previously in step 0.</LI>

    Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. CoreMedia.dll is part of Apple Application Support.
    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
    which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
    Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

    I understand that you are getting a message on your screen that doesn't go away and it says "searching for updates".
    Are you still experiencing this message or has it gone away by now?
    Have you unplugged the printer and waited for a few minutes and then plugged it back in?
    Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or power bar? Even if you have been using a surge protector/power bar all this time and you feel it is not the cause, please connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause.     I read a way on another forum to fix this problem. Right click on the setup.exe and select "Run as administrator" this should solve your problem.

    I can not get to iPhone screen, so no way to get to Settings. That is the problem. When I connect phone to iTunes I get screen asking to insert SIN card. On the phone I'm getting Cinfigure screen asking Launguage , Country or Region, Wi-Fi, ( I can connect to my home wi-fi), and last screen "Activating your iPhone". After two minutes of waiting IM getting message: Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server in temporary unavailable. try connecting to iTunes or try later or contat apple.com/support.

  • My i touch wont let me in the itunes store. Keeps asking for my password.

    I have a few issues going on...... My i touch is a few years old. The battery wont hold a charge, I can not plug it directly into the computer... not a strong enough charge.
    I havent used it in about a year now. I found it this week, tried to use it...every thing works fine..... emails, home security alarm, games,photos, music.All good. Even did updates on apps. But i can not purchase any thing or get into the app store at all. I know my password is correct cause I tried an old one just to check. Different message came up ...wrong password. It  will not let me do any settings stuff or make any changes. I have tried every thing I can think of. Ive worked on this thing for 2 days now. 
    It does not give any error message ...Just keeps asking for my itunes password over and over and over again.

    ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
    Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
    I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
    Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
    If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

  • Office mac keeps asking for license key with fusion drive

    I'm posting this in case anyone else is having this trouble where Office for Mac 2011 keeps asking for the license key. I have a later 2013 iMac with Fusion drive and never have been able to use office on this computer without entering the key. In talking with Microsoft they removed office and all the files and reinstalled with no help. In speaking with Apple, they said there is a known issue with Microsoft Office and the Fusion drive and Microsoft is working on a patch. Evidently the fusion drive moves the files around and to Microsoft that looks like new hardware so it prompts for the key. Realy annoying! Microsoft

    I'm a certified Apple consultant and I recently hit this issue at an installation. On seven iMacs with the Fusion drive, I deleted the "Thunderbolt Bridge" interface from the Network System Preference. We then rebooted the computers, entered the product key one more time, and so far, the problem has disappeared and survives subsequent rebootings.
    Obviously, if you are frequently networking two Macs using Thunderbolt, this isn't a good long-term solution (though it is easily added back). However, it does appear to work. I have no sound theory as to why it works, except that Office might be interpreting the existence of that bridge as evidence that the software was copied onto a machine instead of properly installed. This is just a wild guess, though.
    I have no idea if it will work for others, but hey, the forums are for throwing out these ideas and seeing if one of them sticks for most people. So...there it is.

    I very much appreciate your help and expertise --- Thunderbird keeps asking for my password. I use it for both a non gmail account and a gmail account. Both accounts have repeatedly asked for the password... however the gmail account seems to work better than the other one.
    It doesn't matter if I click the box that says save this password or not.
    I had yesterday reset the password once on the server side of things and thought that had fixed it... but then again today I started getting the same error message that it cannot login to my server.
    I looked through your help boards and cannot find a solution that I understand. There are a couple that seem like they may work but the things they are naming to reset are things I don't even know what they are... Sorry I'm not very techno savvy --

    Delete the password stored in Tools/Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, OK, restart TB, and enter the correct password when you're prompted at the next network connection.

    Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Site Preferences"
    Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

After Acceptation the certificate the connection is established successfully, but it's anoing to approve certificate on each time.
    selecting "Always trust" doesn't change anything.
    I've also tried to create profile by using "iPhone Configuration Utility" but in this case a'm not able to connect at all because of error "The identity of the authentication server could not be established". I;'ve tried to add into profile both server's certificate and certificate's CA, still with no success.
