Installation Error of Project Pro Trial - Error 25004

Good day everyone. I have tried installing the Project Pro trial version and I get the error 25004 and it indicates I have a previous trial version of some 2013 software installed. Here is the setup:
Have Windows 8.1 professional (all up to date and legal)
Was running Office Pro 2010, Visio Pro 2010, Project Pro 2010 (installed from authentic MS CD's)
Upgraded with the company I am with to Office 365 Business (installed from web and legal )
I uninstalled all my office Pro 2010 software except for project pro 2010 and Visio Pro 2010
When I first encountered this problem I uninstalled all Office 365 software using the FixIt program, then uninstalled all 2010 software. I tried reinstalling the Project 2013 Trial first, but no luck. I tried the manual install and no luck also. I have not
tried a safe start install.
I am getting frustrated since I have heard or done the following:
I was told that I can't add the Project Pro for 365 to our business license since we would need to upgrade to enterprise version, which is not going to happen
try using the MS FixIt program - no luck and same error.
I need to a complete re-install Windows - not likely to happen. Seems a bit extreme.
even a new install of windows won't fix the issue...really?
Lastly I heard that MS is aware of this issue. The question is are they working on a fix or am I stuck?
Before I go out an invest $1500 on the software, I want to make sure I can install it.
My questions are:
could this have something to do with my Office 365 (Business)?
Is this going to inhibit my ability to install Project 2013 (fully licensed version)?
Any help would be appreciated!

  • Remaining Installs Available on Project Pro for Office 365

    Hello All,
I downloaded a demo version of Project Pro for Office 365 as I am looking to test/implement the software in my company. I have looked everywhere on the internet to solve my issue but I am unlucky, and therefore I am kindly asking your guidance on my issue.
I am looking forward to install Project Pro, but I am only limited to install up to 5 users on my login. What is this limitation, and is there any way around it. My company setup is quite simple, I want to able to install 10 Project Pro for Office 365 licenses
on 10 manager desktops, and I would like to link the primary account (1 licencse) to Project Online for portfolio management and other related PMO services.
Am I doing it wrong? is there any other alternative to my situation?
We already have MS Project 2007 installed in the system, but we are looking to have more collaboration and sharing services between users. Any other PM offering from Microsoft is welcome.
    Thank you very much

  • Error for Acrobat Pro Trial

I have tried different browsers, different download managers, different computers... I am getting this message when I try to install the Acrobat Pro 30day trial... PLEASE HELP!!

    Hi Gnatly,
This error usually comes up when the downloaded installer file is corrupted.
If you have tried different browsers and different computers already then the only reason I could think of is the internet issues.
Are you experiencing intermittent network issues?
Try downloading the file from a different network and check.
Also try downloading from the direct download links available at: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

  • "Errors in Project" but I can't find any

I've finished assembling a project in iDVD. When I try to burn a disc, I get the dreaded warning "Errors in Project: There were errors during the project validation that have to be fixed before burning the project." (The same warning appears if I try to save the project as a disc image.)
However, there are no yellow warning signs in the DVD map view and no other indication of the nature of the problem. Nor can I proceed with burning the DVD despite the warning. None of my menu movies are longer than 4 minutes. All of the drop boxes have something in them.
I'm using the Vintage Vinyl theme, I've got tons of free space on the startup disk, and I'm using "Best Performance" for encoding. The total content of the project is 73 minutes (4.03 gb).
I've searched the discussion board for an answer to this situation, but I haven't found any. Can you help me? I'm completely out of ideas and dead in the water for now. Thanks in advance.
    Rick F.

Does your project have any chapter markers that might be in the wrong place/s?
Did you keep this rule in mind? .... Can't add chapter markers to transitions nor 2 seconds within the very start /end of your movie.
A misplaced chapter marker/s will not always generate a yellow warning sign / exclamation mark within map view of iDvd'08.

  • Microsoft Project Professional Trial 2013

I tried to download MS Project Pro Trial 2013 this morning (64-bit) and my computer told me that I needed the 32-bit. So I went through the registration process again and downloaded the 32-bit.  Upon trying to run MS Project it gave me an error message
after typing in my trial code stating.
Error 25004: The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous MS Office 2013 trials being installed
Any help would be great on how I can successfully trial MS Project.

    Hi,
Have you installed Microsoft Project Professional Trial 2013 or Office 2013 pro before?
Did you have installed any version of Office in this PC now?
As far as I know, the error occurs when we try to install a Windows Installer (MSI)-based version of Office/Project 2013 on a computer on which the computer manufacturer has already installed a version
    of Microsoft Office/Project 2013.
Please try the following steps and check they are helpful.
    Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared
If there is a folder called OFFICE15 or OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform delete that folder.
    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared
Same as above, If there is a folder called OFFICE15 or OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform delete that folder.
    Reinstall
Please note: Backup before you deteted
    Tips:
Office 32 bit version could be installed with both of 32bit and 64 bit Windows OS.
Make sure all versions of Office/Project are either 32-bit or 64-bit. You can’t have a mix of both.

  • Can't open Project Pro from IE

Anyone have any ideas what settings I'm missing? I'm getting an error saying "Project Pro 2013 is not installed." I have Project Pro 2013 installed but any browser I use: Chrome, IE, or Firefox doesn't launch it.

    Roland,
You need to "Connect" project Pro to your PWA Instance.

  • Projects not showing up between project pro and project web app

I have projects that I created using project standard.  Now that I have a subscription to project pro for office 365 and project online, I wanted to import these projects. If I use project pro and save a project to office365, it doesn't show up on
the project web app side.  Yet I know it is there because if I try and save with the same name it says it can't because it already exists.  Similarly, if I create a project on the project web app side and then try and open it using project pro, it
errors out and won't open it.

    Hi,
If I understand well, you had standalone projects that you'd like to import on Project Online?
Then you just have to open MS Project (connnected to your project server) then SAVE AND PUBLISH it. Be sure to fill any required information such as project custom fields.
What is the error you get while opening Project Pro? Has the project been correctly published from PWA (not just saved, and no error message in the queue)? Then is Project Pro connected to your project server?
    Hope this helps.

  • Project Server Resources won't load in Project Pro

We have three Project Server 2010 instances.  On two of them, we can download the entire resource dictionary (10K resources) without any problem to Project Professional.  On the third one, we can only download about a thousand at a time.
We don't see any errors in Project Pro, we just get a blank resource sheet.  When I review the event log on the computer running Project Pro, we see four error application events:
    Error 9/5/2013 1:11:29 PM MSSOAP 16 Client
    Soap error: Unspecified client error..
    Error 9/5/2013 1:11:29 PM MSSOAP 16 Client
Soap error: Sending the Soap message failed or no recognizable response was receive
    Error 9/5/2013 1:11:29 PM MSSOAP 16 Client
Soap error: An unanticipated error occurred during the processing of this request..
    Error 9/5/2013 1:11:29 PM MSSOAP 16 Generic
    Soap error: Connection time out..
Has anyone seen this behavior before?
    Brian McCool

    it help us:
We closed Project Pro, added a "Timeout" value (DWORD/32-bit) to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\MS Project\Settings and set it to 600000 (decimal ... 600 seconds) and then re-opened Project Pro
But problem in slow connection to PWA. And we can't find the reason.

  • Project Pro URL

I just signed up for Project Pro trial and when trying to connect Project 2013 to an account, it asks for the Project Server URL. I have scoured the admin web portal and can find no reference to a Project Server URL. Therefore, it will connect to be able
to use Corporate Resources. How do I proceed to find this secret piece of information?

I did create an account online. The trial version of Project Online gives you Project Server online with Project Professional 2013. So when you set it up, you create accounts for users and download and install Project Professional 2013. But to access the
server you need the URL of your trial server. That appears to be listed no where; at least that I can see. If this trial does not include the server, as stated when I signed up; what is the point and therefore I might as well move on to a product that does
    what it claims.
We wanted to prove this works before spending the cash. So now a week in, it is unusable and so far, a real waste of time without this one piece of information.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Trial Installation - Access is denied error

I am trying to install the trial version of Acrobat 9 Pro, but I consistently get variations of the Access is denied error:
Access is denied. File: C:/Users/[username]/AppData/Local/NOS/nos08632//nos483B.tmp (variations occur within the NOS folder, e.g. /NOS/nos08424//nosC1A5.tmp, etc.)
My only choice is to click OK, after which the installation quits. Within the AppData/Local folder is a NOS folder, which contains a TMP file that is not named the same as the TMP file in the error message. I delete the NOS folder and try the installation again, but still get the error message at around 30% (give or take a few %) into the installation.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 on a 64-bit operating system with an Intel Core Duo CPU processor.
    Any ideas?

Are you logged in at the administrator? Do you have anti-virus turned on? Are you sure your trial download is not corrupt (check the file size if possible)?

I know this problem has been reported previously with Premiere Pro CC (I run 2014). When opening up a recent project, I keep getting this: "Error Adobe Premiere Pro: This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type." The only solutionm is to open another project, sign ou, then sign in before I get open that other project. This has become a pain...  Is there a permanent fix for this issue that has been reported for quite a while now?
    Thanks for your help.
    Marc

    Hi Marc-Andre d'Anjou,
I am sorry to hear you're having trouble with this issue. It happens sometimes because of activation problems. The doc that Rameez points to is missing steps for reactivating the Creative Cloud version of Premiere Pro. For Premiere Pro CC, and later, see the section "How to deactivate or sign out" in this document. See the section "How to activate or sign in" in the same document to activate Premiere Pro once more.
See also this FAQ: FAQ: Why are some codecs and sequence presets missing from my installation of Premiere Pro?

  • Error messages during XML import of Project Pro 2010 files

    Hi folks,
I'm trying to diagnose a couple of sick Project Pro 2010 files loaded from Project Server by saving them locally as XML files and then reimporting (not connected to the server during import).  The anomalous behavior exhibited by both files
is that one takes 15 minutes to load from the server, while another takes over 20 minutes. These are not typical load times for this server.  In both cases, Project consumes about 25% of the CPU during the load process. There's little network I/O
while this goes on, and when externally linked schedules are loaded to the cache, they load very quickly.  Other than the long load times, the schedules appear to be behave normally, except for some very odd print preview behaviors in one of the schedules
that I asked about in a different thread (among other things, the default print preview start date is 17 years after the default finish date, and the finish date is about 11 years before the schedule actually starts).
The questions I'm asking here are about errors I see when I try to import the files exported as XML, and whether they might provide any clues as to what's causing the load time issues.
When attempting to import one of the files saved as XML, a pop-up appears that says, "The actual finish date is before some of the previously entered timephased actual work values. If  you continue with this operation, Project will truncate
some of the previously entered timephased actual work values. To continue, click OK..."
When attempting to import the other file saved as XML, I get a series of pop-ups identifying a series of tasks that say, "The timephased edit will cause 'Develop Requirements Review Meeting Mi...' to start before 'Conduct Requirements Review"
finishes.  As a result the task link cannot be honored.  You can: () Continue. Keep the timephased edit and ignore the link.  () Cancel. Ignore the timephased edit.  (OK/Cancel/Help)".
Interestingly, both files contain external Project Server predecessor / successor links.  In the case of the first file, the XML import just appears to strip those out.  In the case of the second file, I get a long series of pop-ups (with
some buggy text inserts) in pairs.  The first message in the pair is typically "An import error occurred.  The element <PredecessorLink> in the <Task> element with <UID>=611 has invalid data.  Verify that the file
name and path are correct, and then try again. (OK)", where the indicated UID varies. The second pop-up in the pair appears to have a buggy text constructor and looks like this, with "[stet]" indicating the apparent buggy text inserts,
"An import error occurred.  The element [stet] Verify that the file name and path are correct, and then try again. [stet] in the 309 element with <UID>=7 has invalid data. [stet] ^4 (OK)"
In the second pop-up of the pair, the "xyz element" varies, but the "<UID>=7" reference and "^4"  are consistent. In the XML, UID 7 appears to refer to a calendar, a task which includes a number
    of entries similar to:
    <TimephasedData>
    <Type>24</Type>
    <UID>7</UID>
    <Start>2014-10-03T08:00:00</Start>
    <Finish>2014-10-04T08:00:00</Finish>
    <Unit>2</Unit>
    <Value>PT8H0M0S</Value>
    </TimephasedData>
    ... and to an assignment:
    <Assignment>
    <UID>7</UID>
    <TaskUID>10</TaskUID>
    <ResourceUID>-65535</ResourceUID>
    <PercentWorkComplete>100</PercentWorkComplete>
    which includes blocks like:
    <TimephasedData>
    <Type>2</Type>
    <UID>7</UID>
    <Start>2014-10-17T08:00:00</Start>
    <Finish>2014-10-17T17:00:00</Finish>
    <Unit>2</Unit>
    <Value>PT8H0M0S</Value>
    </TimephasedData>
Eventually, the second file also does load with no external file links indicated.
Again, I'm just looking for anything that might be a clue to the long Project Server load times.
    Thanks in advance,
    LP

Slow performance can come from a number of different things. Without knowing more detailed information about your setup or workflow, it's difficult to accurately troubleshoot.
-What kind of Mac are you using?
    -What is your source format?
-Where is your source footage located?
