Installation Errror

When it did it's latest update cause the program to fail. (Seems to be common)
When I try to reinstall, it goes as far as removing files after install then fails. Says can not create a temporary file required for the installation to complete.
Have tried all the program removals suggested etc. Run as administrator , tried a different diectory etc. etc.
Any help available?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

    OCS is supported for Windows 2000 & Windows 2003. It is not Supported for XP.

  • Hyperion Enterprise 6.3 Installation errror

    We have installed Hyperion 6.3 on a new server. The software runs on the server. Users accessing it through a shared network drive get the error "The specified module could not be found", and data entry is locked in all categories. We have duplicated the security settings from the old to the new server but this has not helped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    6.3 ??? This probably has to do with some MSFT patches applied. I have seen where there can be conflicts. What is the O/S? Are you certain they are parallel in terms of fixes that may have been applied?
    I think your bigger issue is that 6.4 was released in 2005.
    I would strongly recommend moving to a more recent release if you can help it. I believe 6.5.1 is the current release.

  • 11g Client installation errror - Unable to construct admin data&Invalid UTF

    I am trying to install Oracle 11g Client on Windows 7 (version is Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)). I already have installed Oracle 10g Client and it is working without problem. I read few articles that say it can be used simultaneously on single machine.
    I get following error:
    "ERROR!! Unable to construct admin data segment. java.io.UTFDataFormatException:Invalid UTF8 encoding."
    I have full admin rights on machine, Windows is updated and latest Java is installed. Searched all over the net but can't find what could be the problem.

    Hi.  Can anyone help with the following Installer Errror that occurred when installing the Engage 2008 trial version ...
    "Error 1904. Module H:\Xcelsius Engage Trail\BusinessObjectsEnterprise 11.5\win32_x86\EnterpriseFramework.dll failed to register.  HRRESULT -2147024894. Contact your support personnel."

    Although I am not familiar with this particular error, we have seen that installation of Xcelsius works better when installed to higher level directories. I would advise allowing the software to install to the default installation directory to see if that works better. Also, please be sure you are downloading/saving the installation's zip file, extracting the contents, then running the installer executable setup.exe.

  • Creating LabVIEW executables & installers

    Hello all,
    I am trying to create an executable & installer for an application as described in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/5406. I am having issues with both. I'd appreciate some pointers.
    1. EXE: I have attached a zip folder here called "exe screen shots 1" with screen shots of the error. The errors is related to the HWS drivers on the target machine. The application runs fine on the host computer. I have installed the 821 run time engine from ni.com on the target. I have also tried placing the instr.lib/nihws.llb at the same location as host machine but to no avail. Is there a specific place for lvrt.dll?
    2. Installer: Screenshots of the build errors are attached. Message indicates a "Windows SDK Function" returned an error. The installer build never completes. The path for HSDIO and Runtime engine are valid.

    Hello Ram,
    regarding your need to install NI HWS on the target computer.
    NI HWS is distributed with NI-HSDIO, but also supports a feature in LabVIEW, which allows you to create a custom, application specific installer distribution. This feature is accessable from the LabVIEW project build specification when creating application specific installers.
    To do this 'right click' on 'Build Specifications', and select New>>Installer. Under 'Category' select 'Additional Installers', you already find the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine selected. Additionally select 'NI Hierachical Waveform Storage'.
    Using these steps, I created a custom installer of ~300MB, which should install all the required NI HWS binaries as well as the LabVIEW 8.2.1 Run-Time Engine onto your target computer.

    I'm trying to install BPC 7 sp5 in a two server environment, but the installation stops with the error message "Cannot connect to . Please check report server name".
    Environment:
    Appserver: Win2003 R2 32 bit.
    Sql server: Win2008 64 bit, Sql 2008 Server 64 bit.
    Default installation of Report Server was used. So virtual directory is ReportServer. I can successfully connect to Report server from IE (http://ReportServerName/ReportServer). The installation user is a domain user and is member of the Administrators group on both servers. Ports 1433, 2383 and 80 are open.
    So then I wonder if the error comes from the fact that we're using Windows 2008 as OS on sql server. Is it possible to use Win2008 on sql server?

    Did you partition and format the flash drive first? See the following:
    Make Your Own Mavericks, Mountain/Lion Installer
    After downloading the installer you must first save the Install Mac OS X application. After the installer downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing.
       2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
    Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    After DU loads select your flash drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the leftside list. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list.
    Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to an hour depending upon the flash drive size.
    Make your own Mavericks flash drive installer using the Mavericks tool:
    Mavericks has its own built-in installer maker you use via the Terminal:
    You will need a freshly partitioned and formatted USB flash drive with at least 8GBs. Leave the name of the flash drive at the system default, "Untitled." Do not change this name. Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder. Copy this command line after the prompt in the Terminal's window:
    sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app --nointeraction
    Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed to the screen so be careful to enter it correctly. Press RETURN, again.
    Wait for the process to complete which will take quite some time.

    when hit ENTER I got this errror message - (INS - 35354) The system on which you are attempting to install Oracle RAC is not part of a valid cluster.
    I was looking in some forums an I found one where indicates I should indentiify these files and change some info on them;

    The ouput of the above command lists the inventory_directory
    Browse to the inventory.xml file in that directory. My oraInventory

    You can verify that the flag CRS=true isn’t set for the $GRID_HOME

    However, I couldn't find any of those files in my directories.
    also, i was verifying the note [ID 1053393.1, but again, I couldn't find where to change the values for CRS.
    Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi,
    RAC is a database in a cluster. One Database opened by one o more instances in one or more hosts.
    Note: RAC is not a cluster, but a Database cluster.
    To allow database be clustered, we need to install a software cluster.
    We have some options, but Oracle developed your own software cluster actually named Grid Infrastructure for a cluster AKA Oracle Clusterware.
    To install RAC you need first install and configure your cluster.
    Before you start install Oracle cluster/RAC I recommend you start with concepts.

  • Error running Universal Installer

    I downloaded Personal Oracle and unzipped it. I'm trying to run the Universal Installer but it crashes. The error message is below. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

    This is regarding an issue while trying to unistall Fusion middleware (11g forms, reports) from the server.
    I am running oracle universal installer to run the deinstallation process and getting an error "java runtime environment was not found at C:\TEMP\OraInstall2011-11-14_01-31-42PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe hence oracle universal installer cannot be run. Please visit www.javasoft.com and install jre 1.3.1 or higher and try again"
    Is there any workaround for this?

    you should dl lr 5.7 and then check that your download is complete. if the same error message results when you try to install, start here - Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation
