Installation Failed Palm Z22
I have Palm z22, and I've been trying to put an e-book(Longman English Dictionary,12.90MB purchased from 'Mobipocket' website) on my z22,
and my palm has 21.8MB free space of 24.6MB.
The problem is that I always get the error message like this:
'There were errors during Palm synchronization. Please check that you have enough memory on your palm.'
I've done so far with hard reset, software reset, but nothing has been changed, I still get the message.
Please hlep me with this, so I can study English with my Palm.

Isync failing to ical for palm z22 after upgrade to mac os x 10.5.1
just upgraded my powerbook G4 to mac os x 10.5.1, now unable to successfully complete hotsync. new events on my palm DID get added to my iCal, but hotsync manager dies before completion with an error message. see below for hotsync log details.
previously had os x 10.3.x and was syncing my palm z22 with iCal, address book, etc. just fine. to make it as simple as possible, in isync i un-checked "contacts", and under "calendars" i checked "ignore palm events older than one month". in hotsync conduit settings, "isync conduit" is set as "enable isync", all other conduits are set as "do nothing".
have pored through the many threads on sync problems with 10.5.x but didn't see one with this particular symptom. any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to isync palm Z22, failing on ical
just got a new palm z22, set up for isync. i've got Mac OSX 10.3.9, isync 1.5, ical 1.5.5(v670).
in hotsync conduit manager, for isync conduit, checked "enable isync for this palm device". when i do sync, it takes forever the first time (as expected) but ultimately it fails, hotsync log is pasted below. however, it does look like all my entries (from ical, address book, etc.) DID get added to my palm! however without a successful initial sync i'm assuming subsequent syncs will also take forever and fail.
checked free space on my palm after sync failure, it says i have free space 19.4M of 24.6M. i have 8 years worth of data in my ical but it's not very big, on palm it says calendar is 672K / 8568 records. interestingly, it also says date book is 467K / 8555 records. i didn't get any conduit conflicts so am not sure why they both are getting updated.
did see some postings about manually managing conduits in /Library/Application Support/Palm Hotsync/Conduits folders, but after one of my syncs, everything in that folder disappeared! even so, hotsync does seem to run and data gets added to my Palm but sync ultimately fails.
if anyone could provide some pointers it would be GREATLY appreciated!

1) i went into hotsync conduit manager and set ALL of them to "do nothing" except for isync (set to enable isync for this device), backup (set to backup) and install (set to install files)
2) did a hard reset of the palm device
unfortunately sync failed again, here is the tail end of the hotsync log:

again though, it does look like all the ical and address book data did in fact make it onto the palm device, but the sync just dies at the end. i don't think the ical size is the problem, same stats as in my original message, 19.5M of 24.6M free on the palm.
somewhere in my many sync / reset / sync / reset attempts, my /HD/Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync/Conduits folder got empty. so i can't follow your advice of moving conduits to the disabled folder, because neither the conduits nor the disabled folder even exist anymore! is that of any concern? -
Load and syc Palm Z22 with Windows Vista 64
I have an HP, Windows Vista 64 desktop. I have a Palm z22 PDA. When I load the installation disk I get the following error - "Error 0x80040702, Failed to Load, DLL HSAPI, set up will terminate." I can't load the disk so I can't even get to the installation or hot sync. Can anyone help??

Hot synch problem - Palm Z22 - stalls on Date book synch....
I have a palm Z22. I've had it for several years. Recently, I downloaded 6.2.
When I hotsync, everything comes up as it should but it freezes on the datebook synch.
Here's what gets done in a nano second:
Package installer
Install
Install Service Templates
Install to card
Hot Synch Exchange
Date Book - it aways stops here....13 green bars, 2 of 12 complete.
Does anyone know how to correct it?

My previous problem (fixed by dbfixit as suggested on this forum) was the hot sync was stalling on the second date book.
I see that when it's hotsyncing, it is checking off one at a time...
Should I delete the duplicates and how do I do that. (they are not listed as duplicates on my hand held that I can see.
All this is hard work for me, so appreciate this forum and all your help. sdm

My palm z22 can turn on, but won't go past the "palm powered" display. I have countlessly reset it as well as wait till it was charged to reset and then wait till it ran out of power and charged again, then reset! I even tried pressing the power and the reset button at the same time. Nothing changed. It's still stuck at "palm powered" and constantly on wasting power. Please help!

To perform a Hard Reset:
While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button.
You should now see the warning page in about 5 languages. Press the UP direction on the 5-way pad to complete the task. Your Palm will reset itself several times as it re-installs the original programs and erases all your previous data.

Have had a Palm Z22 for about 4 years. Cannot turn on, attach the charger and it may turn on but the minute I unplug it the screen goes black. Any ideas?

Rebooting Palm Z22 after hard reset
I have a Palm Z22. It was freezing and would not respond to taps so I did a Hard Reset. Now the screen is stuck on the first page where one has to tap on the centre of circles, bottom right and top left. It does not advance to the choosing the language, nor cannot I do a HotSync. I do have all my information on my computer. Can anyone help me advanceand be able to use my Palm Pilot?

Post relates to: Palm Z22Lester, check for a "screen wedgie" - grit caught between the frame of the device and the screen. It could be causing phantom screen presses, and make the calibration routine fail.
Try using a slice of a credit card, or a piece of paper folded into a scoop.
Do you have a screen protector on it? Try removing it.
It is possible your screen has failed... Repairs would cost more than a new unit.

Palm Z22 hotsync with windows 7 64 bit-using IRD
I have been trying to hotsync my input from Palm Z22 into my new OS Windows 7 64 bit using first the USB-unsuccessful.
I purchased an IRD to try and hotsync onto OS windows 7 64 bit- but also have failed. Any advise?I do not know if it will work. In his post at brighthand that he made the Aceeca driver available to the palm community Alex stated that it should work with many Palm devices that were os 4 or 5. You are using an older version of the palm desktop and one of the older os 4 devices. I do know of people with the palm m505 and m515 using the Aceeca driver with success, but they were using a newer version of the palm desktop. I believe most were using the 4.1.4 palm desktop version. I do not know if experimenting with a newer desktop version will help either.

there is no sound any more with my palm Z22. Not even during the hotsync. At preferences the setting is "loud". Can anybody help me?

I'd check to see if any games were installed that have Sound settings in them. See if any were set to "Mute".
As a last resort, if it were my device I'd perform a HotSync, then do a Hard Reset on it to return it back to the "out of the box" condition. Check for sound immediately when the Hard Reset has finished.
Note: this will erase all your user data, so be sure you do a HotSync before the Hard Reset!

While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button.
You should now see the warning page in about 5 languages. Press the UP direction on the 5-way pad to complete the task. Your Palm will reset itself several times as it re-installs the original programs and erases all your previous data.
If you still have no sound after a Hard Reset, then it sounds like the device has a hardware problem. I know of no websites that repair Z22's due to the fact a repair could cost as much as the device itself...

Camera Raw 6.7 Update for Mac: Installation Failed error message. Update downloaded directly from Adobe website. Newly purchased Mac Workbook Pro, OS 10.10, using Photoshop CS5. Other updates successfully accomplished. Camera Raw 6.7 Update was downloaded multiple times with multiple installation attempts. Any recommendations?
thanks for the prompt response...i appreciate it. according to the link you listed, that's correct. the strange thing is that prior to the upgrad to mac os 10.8.4, photoshop CS5 was working just fine and i was able to open my canon raw files with my current camera raw plug-in version 6.7 which adobe has indicated is the last camera raw update they'll be offering for cs 5
so it's clearly an issue related to the "upgrade" of the os. seems like every solution creates 6 new problems...further evidence for the notion that if it ain't broke don't fix it! thanks again. -
I have Photoshop Elements 10 and Premier Elements 10 installed on my PC. Both were installed from discs that I bought a few years ago. I recently purchased the upgrade (by download) for both applications to version 13. In accordance with the (scant) instructions received by email, I downloaded the four files required from the Adobe site. I subsequently ran the .exe files, which in turn created directories on my PC, including set-up.exe files for both applications. When I run the setup files, I get an error message stating that the installer failed to initialise. The error message advised me to download the Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. That tool does not exist. I then sought assistance from the Abobe support site, initially using the hyperlink suggestions, which were of no use, then using the chat function. The operator kept trying to get me to do something with something called 'Creative Cloud'; which I am not familiar with, and do not use. He then instructed me to download and run a CS5 cleaner tool; however, none of the choices offered by that tool include my issue, or either Photoshop Elements or Premier Elements. I am reluctant to uninstall version 10 of the programs in case I end up losing the lot and therefore wasting even more money than the purchase price for this upgrade.
All I want to do is upgrade my two applications from version 10 to version 13. I have paid the requisite fee but it clearly does not work. I appear to have totally wasted my money. Can anyone please tell me how to get it to work? I do not want to have anything to do with the so-called ‘Creative Cloud’ as I have no idea what it is, and I do not want to lose what I already have (and have paid for previously).
I have tried for a few days to access the so-called 24/7 chat assistance but appeared to have been locked out as every time I try to access it, I get a message that the (24/7) chat is closed. Adobe has taken my money for a product that does not work, and also refuse to help me fix it.
I am very frustrated with a product I bought that does not work, and a 24/7 support service that clearly is not 24/7, and which refuses to assist me. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to get this to work? Rod.Hi,

Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7What is the current version of Ps (Help->System Info), if you have 13.0.1.2 already applied then you need to re-install Ps to get Ps 13.1.2.
As 13.1.2 is a subscription patch this would not get applied over 13.0.1.2.
If this still does not resolves your issue, Kindly mail me installer logs.
