Installation failure. Asks for user for install and then nothing.

Downloaded 5.0.1 install asked for the user either Administrator or the current user. Current user is the administrator (Administrator account renamed to my name). When I select the "Administrator" it will not accept since it does not exist, and it will not use my account which is the administrator. When I wuse my accout the install terminates without notice.

I have the same problem on my iPad Mini! I was trying to download Pandora from the App Store and the same thing happened. I tried a different Apple ID and surprisingly, it worked.

    OK...now I appear to 'progressed' I changed my email address back to original on Apple id and then was able to delete icloud account. Apparently I couldnt do it as it kept requesting password  when I entered passsword ( both old and new one, it wouldnt accept it as it had my old email address in ) It didnt do that on ios6 . Anyway I deleted account, but now I tried to login in with my new id/password and it says unable as already in use!!! More help needed please! Its a nightmare!!

  • Since upgrading to iOS7 I cannot download anything from iTunes or the App Store.  I get asked for PW and then it just reverts back to showing the price of the app or song.  When you tap it, it gives an INSTALL box and when tapped it again asks for PW.

    Please help.  I cannot download any apps or itunes content.  Just get this circular path of tapping to install, entering PW and back to tapping to install and asking for PW.  This started with the latest iOS update.  Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

    Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

  • Logic pro x basic download gets about 3/4 through, asks for password and then says it loses connection and asks to download again.

    I have been having terrible trouble with logic pro x basic content download. I open up the app in which it says it's downloading the extra content. I think it must be the basic content however because it takes no time at all. It gets 3/4's through and says installing. It then asks for my password and once entered says it needs an internet connection to download and to please try again.
    I have literally tried everything from making sure my preferences are correct, using an Ethernet, cable.I have used almost every post regarding this on here and still can't even get the basic 2g package to install. If I could get that I believe I could load the extra content manually. I can't even get the basic package to work to do this however.
    Has anybody had the problem with the basic download??? If anyone has a solution to this pleeeeaaaseee reply because this is driving me crazy.

  • HT4623 my iphone 4S won't connect to my network.   I shut it off and turned on again, I took out the network and when I've put it back in it asks for password and then when i push join nothing happens

    My Iphone won't connect to my wifi , its the phone as everyone and everything else is connected to it. 
    Ive shut it off and turned it back on , when it asks for the password I put it in and push join but nothing happens.  

    Try resetting your network setting on your iPhone. Go to your Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. (this will delete any saved wi-fi passwords that are currently on the phone). If that doesn't resolve the issue. Try connecting the phone to your computer and doing a back up and restore, once it is restored set it up as a new iPhone (very important step) then test the issue. If it resolves the issue reconnect your phone and  then restore it from the back up you created earlier. Follow this article if you want to do the back up and restore.

    I'm trying to download my existing iTunes account onto my new computer. For one, every time I try and download it it takes a second and then says "thank you for downloading iTunes!" and after that there's nothing, no results, no download. I read the instructions, and I looked on my toolbar. There appears to be no pop-up control and I can't find anything relating to it. I have Windows 8, in case that makes a difference. This shouldn't be a problem, but it is, so....HELP???!

    Connect to the computer that you last backed up the phone to and click the Restore iPhone button in iTunes. This will wipe the phone, restore the backup, and remove the passcode.

  • Acrobat v10x CS6 Installation: "Some items could not be installed and then Error 1301

    Brand new MacBook Pro Retina 16GB, 512SSD, Mountain Lion.
    I successfully installed all apps in CS6 Web and Design Premium EXCEPT... I had a warning on Acrobat install: "Some items could not be installed properly".
    However, Acrobat 10.0.0 launches and runs fine. Then, I try to move on and upgrade to 10.1.4 (or even 10.0.1) and no matter whether I uninstall and reinstall, repair disk permissions, talk to Adobe support for four times now and let them try everything, I'm still getting Error 1301 "The update could not be applied because Adobe Acrobat application contents were modified since the original installation. I had them send me a hard copy of the CS6 Suite and reinstalled the entire suite. Again, ALL other apps run and upgrade perfectly EXCEPT Acrobat.
    Now, support tells me to use the "Run Repair Acrobat Installation to replace missing files." from this advisory and call them back later (file:///Users/mbp/Desktop/extras/maccomputers/Errors%20and%20freezes%20%7C%20Adobe%20Rea der%20%7C%20Mac%20OS.webarchive).
    Here's the latest hitch: There is no such:  "Repair Acrobat Installation". I'm thinking they think there is and there isn't.

    Thanks for the advice. Tried this and does not work. Exact same results. I really wonder if I am the only person with a MacBook Pro Retina with an 512GB SSD running Mountain Lion that has tried to install Acrobat 10.0.0. I think there is some conflict with Mac OS 10.8.2 that is hostile to the installation sequence Adobe created for Acrobat. I fear Adobe would rather I upgrade to Acrobat X1 than spend their time patching this.

    There are no keys, there is no trial version of OSX (ML or Mavericks) and Mavericks is free

    I just went through this same process.... I changed my credit card, double checked billing info, changed my password, I restored my phone, but the misake I made was I kept restoring it from my back up.... Finally I went to Apple Store.. and sad to say that you have to do a restore, and DO NOT restore from back up.
    I used Gmail so I didnt loose contacts or email.. but I did loose all my text messages and history of that.
    So, I had the EXACT same problem and it was a software issue.. you have to restore your phone to factory settings and start all over.. BLOWS I know!
