Installation Failure Error

Adobe premiere Elements 12 - Setup:
Message: The installation process has encountered an error while installing.
Appears to have failed during installation of required common files.
Windows 7 rollback occurs & troubleshoot fix file delete is no help.
Any ideas on how to deal with this ?

Your mention of "Shared Technologies" in your latest post set up a flare.
If you prime issue in the Shared Technologies one, then you are facing a difficult challenge. The Shared Technologies installation stoppage is
not restricted to a particular version of Premiere Elements or computer operating system. I have been there and through that and was ready
to give up many time when a particular fix got me beyond Shared Technologies.
The remedy that has worked for we the last 3 times has happened to me as been the renaming of the OOBE Folder from OOBE to OLDOOBE.
Have you been there and done that?

and in the Adobe Folder is the OOBE Folder that you rename.
The above does not come with a 100% guarantee. There are many fixes reported for this specific type of installation issue.
Some suggest copying the content of the installation disc to the computer desktop and trying to install the program from the installation files saved to the desktop.

Labview runtime engine 7.1.1 installation failure - error 1402

I just installed Labview 8.2.1 on my PC running Windows Home Edition.
Then I attempted to instal NI-DAQmx 8.6. Near the end of that installation,
an error window opened with the following message:
"The NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1 installation has failed with the following error:
Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\OPC.ServerList.1\CLSID."
All firewalls were turned off as well as my anti-virus program. I completely
uninstalled the entire LabView 8.2.1 package and tried re-installing
everything again. No luck. Same error message.
Can anyone assist me on this issue?

Hi phil,
That is interesting that you were unable to find the offending key that the installation is having trouble with. Do you have Administrator privileges on your computer? You may even want to try to log in as the actual Administrator itself to make sure that you have access to all of the proper registry keys. Also, I was going to say that I do think you're right with Windows XP not having the Scanreg/fix function, but there are several free programs that you can download as registry checkers. You may want to try one of those to see if you can find the key and give it the proper permission.
As far as the other part of your question, the Run-Time Engines are very important for LabVIEW to be able to run, but the 7.1.1 Run-Time Engine should not be affecting a LabVIEW 8.2 installation as it will use the 8.2 Run-Time Engine. One thing that you can do is go into your Control Panel under Add or Remove Programs>>National Instruments Software and you can try and repair/modify your Run-Time Engine there. If you already have the 7.1.1 Run-Time Engine on your computer, this is where it will show up so you can make any changes you want. Also, if you go to www.ni.com and click on "Drivers and Updates" on the right, you will be able to find the Run-Time Engine there that you will need, but I would definitely try using a downloadable registry checker first before attempting to change any of the software that is currently on your computer. As stated in the Knowledgebase article, this is actually an error from Windows saying that the registry key does not have the proper permission settings, so I am reluctant to say that downloading the new Run-Time Engine from our website will help much. Please try some of these suggestions out and let me know how they work out for you. Thanks!

One common fact here these servers have all been deployed from a Hyper-V template, servers build with all roles and features then Sysprep'd and stored in the SCVMM library as a template to deploy from.
Any ideas as right now it looks like we have to rebuild all of our nodes.

OK I think the CheckSUR log issue was a one off, I've now run this again against one of my other Hyper-V template IIS servers that has the same issue with Add / Remove role features and the log reports "No Errors Detected"

Itunes installation failure, error code 80070246

I was attempting to upgrade to the latest I tunes version, unfortunately the installation stops during the publishing product information stage. I am using Windows Vista, home edition 32 bit.
While searching the help topics I have tried uninstalling itunes, quicktime, apple software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour and would have uninstalled apple application support if it showed up.
After rebooting and attempting to reinstall (with another failure) I tried running Microsoft fix-it basic and advanced because I came across this fix in another article for this error code. Now not only can I not install Itunes, no updates show up in the history for Windows Update and when I run Windows Update it also fails with another error code 80080005.
After spending 2 days working on this I am worse off than I was when I started, does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do next?

Photoshop Elements 8 installation failure - Error 2 - Mac OS 10.6.4

Hi,
Like a number of others, I have been unable to install from my recently downloaded PE8 package - PhotoshopElements_8_WWEFDJ.dmg, getting Error 2. I'm running 10.6.4.
I've tried all the workarounds I have found here and elsewhere with no success.
I would attach the installation log, but can't see a way of attaching anything other than images or video here.
Can someone please help?

DHCP Installation Failure Error Code 1060

I have performed a clean install of Windows Server 2012 Essentials, creating a new domain.
I installed DHCP which was (apparently) successful, but when attempting to complete configuration I am presented with this error message:
Installation of the DHCP Users or the DHCP Administrators security group failed with Error Code: 1060. The specified service does not exist as an installed service.
A Google search was basically useless. I only found one page dealing with this error code:

The "solution" given in the link above is as follows:
To add the DHCP default local security groups
Click Start, click All Programs, click

Attempting to do this resulted in the following message:

So I am at a standstill. I really need some help here, folks.

Never mind. A reinstall of the server OS seems to have solved all of the problems.

Acrobat Update Installation Failure, Error 1310

I can't complete installation of my latest Adober Acrobat Update (10.1.1). It starts installing, then rolls back and terminates, Error 1310, telling me that I don't have access to a certain directory. What's up with that?

Installation failure error message, but restarts in Leopard anyway

I finally cleared enough hard drive space to install Leopard, only to have installation fail several times during disc verification. The DVD was spotless, but I cleaned it anyway and tried again a few times with the same result. Tech library article 106693 suggested my 3rd party RAM upgrade may be at fault, so removed it and tried again. Disc verification completed, and installation continued for several hours before I got another error message (related to a corrupted Epson printer driver). I restarted so I could put the PowerBook to sleep, and it booted in 10.5 and brought up the setup assistant. So how do I know if I have a complete and stable installation?

One thing you could try if you can - burn a duplicate of the installer disc. You will need a dual-layer blank disc and your Mac will need to have a dual-layer SuperDrive. Although getting a replacement is still a good idea.

3. from the DU File menu select New | Disk Image from Disk 1;

5. When the .cdr file is finished select it with mouse and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info and check the box to lock the file;
6. Choose the .cdr file from the left side list, click Burn, and insert a new, blank DVD or CD.

DTM Installation Failure - Error 1935 - HRESULT: 0x8007371B

I am attempting to install DTM 6 on a Window 7 64-Bit Machine. I checked the forum and tried (I believe) all the suggested tests and it came back negative.
Run as Admin
Rename InstallShield Folder (renamed to C:\Program Files(86)\Common Files\InsallSheild_old)
Did a system scan and everything checked out

Photoshop CS6 installation failure Mac

I keep getting the installation failure error on my newly-purchased CS6 installation that I downloaded off the internet. It is fatal error "Exit Code: 34". I uninstalled all the previous versions of Photoshop that I had, including trial versions, and close all the programs when installing this, but the problem persists. Seems like the same issue as in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4371324 but no answer or solution is provided there. Can anyone help please?

If it hangs on the fonts, you wil lhave to manually remove the Adobe fonts from previous versions.

I have tried all the suggestions that I found in other topics, but am still unable to install PSE 9.
This seems to be a problem for other users.
Is there a solution?

Look for this file or folder on your machine:
"<Macintosh HD>/Library/Fonts/MyriadWebPro-Italic.ttf"
Is there a folder named MyriadWebPro-Italic inside the Fonts folder? Is the file MyriadWebPro-Italic.ttf already existing within this folder?
In both the cases, delete this file/folder and try to install PSE again.

CS6 installation failure for some applications

Windows 7.
After the installation process was complete I was notified that some of the applications failed to install:
Ps; Ai; Fl; Id.
An error list was provided with many cryptic reasons for failure, such as:
ERROR: DF037: Unable to delete directory "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw". Error 145 The directory is not empty.(Seq 956)
These are interesting, no doubt, but useless for helping me to solve the problems.
My question is: how can I get Adobe to help me with what seems to be an inadequate installation process?

Thank you for your response. I meant no offence, but I think the system could be set up in such a way as to better assist the 1% who have problems.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a desktop with these specs:
AMD Athlon II x4 640 processor 3.00GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
64 bit OS

I have CS5 installed and LR4.1

FCS 2 Installation failure on 10.6.7

I'm installing FCS 2 on a MacPro 2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running 10.6.7 with 8GB of RAM
The installation runs normally up to the very end - just before it asks for the Motion Content disc. It asks for the main install disks, after insertion I get an Installation failure error message.
This is a cross grade version of FCS 2 from a prior version of FCS. Both versions were previously installed and operated as expected on my MBP 17 2.6GHz Core 2 Duo running Leopard 10.5.x
I was able to get it to finally load on the MBP 17 running 10.6.7 but only after several attempts.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I've repaired disk permissions on the MP.

The absolute best way to install Apple's pro apps is a clean install, which involves cloning/backing up your system hard drive, then installing the OS, followed by the apps.
The next best option is to use FCS Remover ( http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/ ) to completely remove any components left from the previous version, then install the upgrade from the install discs (or disc images if you made those).

Installation Failure of Extention Mgr update.

Hello,
I got an update notice from Adobe for Extention Manager 6.05. When I run the update, it downloads okay, but then I get an Installation Failure Error Code U44M1P7. Anyone having the same problem? Is there a work around? Is it even worth worrying about. I'm using Photoshop CS 6 standard.

No, in case of PS you need not worry about this unless you have made extensive use by downloading stuff from Adobe Exchange or other places that would require an update.

I'm having issues upgrading my Windows 10 Technical Preview installation build 9879 to a newer build that's become available late January 23rd.
I am installing the new upgrade in a Hyper-V virtual machine and get the following error:
Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80246007
What could be the problem?
Previously I've had messages that Windows cannot be upgraded on a computer with less than 2 Gbyte of RAM. That's a Hyper-V VM with dynamic memory and I was highly surprised to see this error; never had this before. Had to set 2048 Mbytes as a minimum memory
for this VM. Now that I have this 80246007 error code.
When looking up System log, the following error messages are listed multiple times:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.
The errors are returned for the Event ID 20 by WindowsUpdateClient
in task category Windows Update Agent..
I reviewed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
registry key as suggested in Windows
Insider stuck on build 9841 - "No new preview build was found", and here is what it shows:

Note, when attempting to install the downloaded update from a native boot, installation starts with no errors.
However, since setup is not supported for a natively booted VHD files, it does not proceed further showing a message that installation on virtual drives is not supported.
Looks like Setup is having problems installing in a Hyper-V virtual machine.
Possibly, some ESD files got corrupted during downloading? Is it possible to remove them and re-download missing files? (I, however, noticed that Windows seems to re-download upgrade files after you restart 9879 and attempt to check for a new build.
Any clue why installing under VM causes 9926 to fail?

According to the error message, this problem seems like update package installation failed during system upgrade.
You can try to remove ESD file which locate at boot of C drive and upgrade the system again for test.
On the other hand, make sure the system 9879 installed all Windows pushed updates before system upgrade.
