Installation full version after trial

I am running into some issues installing Captivate 3 on my
laptop that is running Vista. I had been using a trial version to
test it out. My boss in the tech department for our school district
purchased me a full copy. I uninstalled the trial version. I then
installed the full version without any problems and entered in my
serial number. The next time I went to use Captivate 3, the opening
screen said my trial version was over and I needed to enter my
serial number. The number I entered previously did not work. I did
this process 3 times with the same problem. I am not sure why it is
reverting to me having a trial version when the install went well
and I could use Captivate 3 when it opens automatically after
installation. Is this a registry issue? Any ideas? Thanks.

Adobe had several obscure installer issues with software
released last year.
This sounds like one of those. You should call tech support
to see if they
can talk you through fixing the installation. It may well be
a registry
issue ...

    All you need to do is enter the serial number into the trial version.  In fact if you purchased a boxed set with a CD, do not bother to load LR3 from the CD as it will most likely not be the most current version (3.7)

    sounds weird but, i used to be able to do it. now i cant.
    i had installed this app on my N82 about 3 months ago. since then i have reseted my phone several times and hadnt redownload the app. I downldoad the app today and im seems the version has changed,which means no more tricks:'( . The "trick" i used to do is; add one contact at first. Then turn off the service aod add more contacts. Turn on the service and thats it! Unfortunately, this doesnot work anymore.

    Okay I bought a new imac and imovie came with it, i this a trial version?

    Nope, you get the full version of iLife (including iMovie) when you buy a new Mac.
    You should run software update just to make sure you have all the latest patches.
    If Apple were to release a totally new version of iLife (which they do every couple of years) then at that point you might decide to buy the new version or not.

  • Reinstate old version after trial of XI

    When I downloaded the trial version of XI, it seemed to delete my existing Acrobat 9.  I am on my work computer, and we do not have the serial number for 9 to re-download it.  How can I get it back? 

    Usually, the installation asks if you want to keep the old version. Apparently it got wiped in your case. However, as long as you registered the product, you should be able to log in to "My Products and Services" (move the cursor over your name in the browser) and get your SNs. You do have to log in. If I go from this page, then I am already logged in.

  • Photoshop CS6 full version suddenly trial?

    It's actually CS6 extended (student edition), and it suddenly became the trial version. I couldn't find the problem with it originally, and now it won't even let me open the program! It opens up the trial box, which I close, and it won't open t he application.
    I did some research, and it had something to do with the latest update which I just took and installed. However, it still isn't working.
    I do a lot of my work in this program, and it would be great to get it back up and running again. I am running it on Windows 7.
    Also, we just recently moved, so I don't know where the box is to find the serial number. I do have it installed on the other computer, but I prefer to use it on this computer.
    I have also looked into this, and cannot find the serial number in the other computer. I have tried opening the registry edit via run, but I wasn't able to locate the serial number. (The instructions I found for this were for XP, so it was a little different)
    Does anybody  know how to find the serial number within your computer once it's already installed?

    You are running into a permission problem.  Google something like "PS reverts to trial version" and you will see a lot of hits.
    It it happens each time you open PS, then start PS by right clicking on icon, then doing what is needed to change to regular version.  It should stay that way.

    Foud the solution myself:
    Start D:\SAPNW\image\setup.exe directly.
    A classic case of RTFM.

    Hi kjbplumb,
    When you launch the software it will prompt you to enter the serial number.
    Else you can launch the application and navigate to the 'Help' menu at the top and select 'Activate'. The activation screen would come up seeking the serial number from you.
    Enter the serial number and the trial would be converted to full version.

    I had the trial version and hit Buy , than I hit full version, after downlaod it did not put on a new icon and when I hit what I hit to open the trial it will not open for me to put the serial # given after the download, I also still have the version 7 Icon still working I thought it took it Off at install . I need your help In getting me into 12 . Thanks Dennis

    Please run the downloaded executable .exe file to begin the installation.

  • CS6 Standard Install after trial on MAC

    What's the correct way in which to install a full copy of CS6 Standard after a trial period on a MAC. Couldn't find the full version on trial so I loaded th individual components (AI,PS ID etc.) but did not load Acrobat Pro as this is not set up for trial on a MAC. All of the components are now registered with a valid Open Licence and all I really need is to get Acrobat Pro on the MAC. The full version is now available on trial but I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it.

    Individual products will not recognize a suite serial. You need to reinstall the suite from the download/ discs.

    I downloaded the LR4 to see how it compares to a LR2 I have at the moment. Adobe clearly states that users testing the beta can get the full version after March 31, but I did not find any information regarding the the student version release. Has adobe released the student versions simultaneously with the full versions, upon product release?

    In the past, the student version has been the same price as the upgrade, and it has been possible to upgrade to a standard version from a student version. If that continues to hold, you'll be able to get LR4 immediately for the equivalent of the student price. Notice the "if" in that statement.

  • Empty Objectlist in ABAP Workbench (Trial version) after installation

    Hi,
    In ABAP Workbench/Object Navigator I (BCUSER) don't see the dropdown control (object list). The slot containing the objects is empty and disabled.
    The system state is after new installation of the Trial version without any problems or errors, no changes have been made.
    Any help is appreciated.

    My version of SAPGUI (from DVD) is 640 and up to date. To be sure I downloaded the last version from sdn (Full ABAP edition trial, SAPGUI only). The installation wizard has detected, that I have the latest version installed.
    The SAP version is Netweaver 2004s 7.00 SP8 (from same DVD).
    Any other idea?
