Installation is requesting for Proxy Authentication. Why?

We have been trying to install Adobe CC for our teaching pools but every time it is requesting to enter proxy authentication. We are installing it over a wireless network that is free of proxy issues. Why is this happening? I tried looking for some numbers to call for support but there are none. Please help. We cannot proceed with our classes with this problem.

Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?

  • Cleartext password for proxy authentication in logfile production.log

Hello Spiceworks-Support-Team,while troubleshooting some web proxy related issue with our Spiceworks installation, I found out that the credentials for the proxy authentication is shown in cleartext in the logfile "production.log". • Is there an issue with the latest version of FF with HTTPS requests and Proxy authentication?

I'm currently working inside a cope network behind a proxy, which requires authentication.
When browsing to websites externally to our network I would usually only be promoted once for authentication details; after that I would never see the prompt again until after restating the browser.
However after the latest update I've found that when visiting HTTPS sites I'm promoted for my login details. But even though I enter the correct information the prompt does not take the details and continually asks until eventually our proxy closes the connection (usually with my account now being locked).
My other browsers (IE, GC) work fine without problems.
    Any ideas?

It could be a regression in Firefox 18 that wasn't present in Firefox 17. The developers are known nowadays for including too many experimental changes and my bet is one of them is causing this.
But to confirm, could you downgrade back to Firefox 17 and still see if it works well with proxy authentication?

  • Wish to create an Installation Service Request for Field Service with Multiple S/N

We are using Oracle 12.1.3 with Teleservice, Field Service and Installed Base. We ship multiple Serial Numbers in a given order then need to dispatch our Field Service technicians in order to install them at the customers locations. I am having a hard time thinking or figuring out the best way to record this in Oracle EBS. Using a Service Request is difficult as there is not a way to list multiple Serial Numbers that we are aware of. Any help or suggestions would be very welcomed.
    Thanks
    Jesse

You are not able to add user input while working "My Activities" or "My Requests" in the portal.  They would have to use the Console, and then in the SR they would be able to update the User Input if that is where you wanted to store it.  I would
create your own Activity Class (Inherit from Manual Activity) and add the fields for what you want, IP, Hostname etc.. then on the portal when the user request the vm map those values to that activity which is assigned to your network team. when they open
their activity in the console they can add the value for ip.  There are many ways you can do this. Which way do you think your team will be most likely to follow.

  • WLC 2106 CSR Request For Web Authentication

Greetings, ive been following the guide below in order to replace the web auth certficate for guest users on our WLC2106.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a00806e367a.shtml
Does anyone know of a method of using Windows 2003 CA Services to sign the CSR, i have tried but i can't get a PEM out of it, just X509 and P7B Certs, i do realise that Guest Users not native to our network will still be presented with an invalid certificate option but would like to try the configuration before paying to have the certificate properly signed.
    Regards

This document assumes that the CA server configuration on the Microsoft Windows 2003 server is in place. This document covers the configuration required on the Wireless LAN controller in order to enable this feature.

  • Why do I keeping getting proxy authentication request when trying to read Gmail?

I am behind a Blue Coat proxy, whenever I try to hit gmail or google play, I get a pop-up that request user authentication (moz-proxy). I have seen a number of post on this and tried the fixes. Nothing seems to help. When I tried this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/943488, Step three: network.automatic-ntlm-auth.allow-proxies – FALSE, I was block from hitting any webpage. I have tried opening is SAFE MODE, that did not work. Are there any other solutions?

"IE’ uses windows authentication, and authenticates with proxy server silently behind the scenes. Chrome uses IE’s settings in windows, for proxy settings. Hence the same behavior as IE. But Firefox, tries to do it on its own, that is why it tries to authenticate and find out if you have access to the site.
But, yeah, for your problem, the best way would be to ignore proxy for the site if you know they are already blocked."

  • Annoying Proxy authentication requests

In our lan we use Firefox (various versions, from 8 to 23, also 17 ESR releases) on windows computers (xp and 7 32 bit) . We require a http proxy authentication (squid) with username and password. We usually configure only Internet Options in windows control panel checking the flag on "use automatic configuration script" with an url like "http://proxy/proxy.pac". In this script we give a list of intranet sites (web applications) that don't require a proxy authentication on internet because are internal sites on our lan. So on firefox we use the option "Use system proxy settings". The issue is: during a session on those intranet sites the firefox dialog window for proxy authentication often appears annoying the operator who has to close it every time. We have tried to mitigate the problem disabling firefox automatic updates, add-ons updates, search engines updates, do not track requests, attack sites and web forgeries lists updates, telemetry, health and crash reports. It seems not to be enough to solve the problem.
Are there other settings to set in "about:config" page? workarounds? add-ons?
Thanks for your help in advance.
PS: sorry for my english, I'm still learning.

I have done some other tests and disabling all settings i mentioned above in the topic the issue is solved.
    Bye

  • SPNego - J2ee did not send request for authentication

    Hi All,
I have configured SPNego and completed all setup as per  documentation. When I use the browser  to access the portal, it is prompting for user id and password. If we manually enter the  id and password on AD, it works fine. Somehow not able connect to j2ee without prompting for id and password.
To troubleshoot this, traced the http traffic using winshark and found that j2ee engine did not send any request for kerberos authentication.
Is there way to check on the server side to make sure spnego is configured properly  and server is able to send kerberos authentication ?
    Appreciate your help !
    Thanks!

Login to your Visual Admin, then go to -->Security Provider -->com.sun.security.jgss.accept -->Krb5LoginModule
Add a Parameter isInitiator and Value false. Save it and take a bounce of J2EE.
This should solve your login page problem Otherwise paste the default trace.

  • Proxy Authentication while Installing Dreamweaver Widget Browser (Mac)

    Hi,
I have created the Adobe CS6 Web and Design Premium package using AAMEE 3.0. I have chosen to exclude adobe air and help. Exception folders have Adobe AIR Installer , Adobe Dreamweaver Widget browser and Adobe Help. ExceptionInfo.txt provides the list of commands to install the exceptions. While running the commands from the text file, Adobe AIR and Adobe Help works fine but Dreamweaver widget prompts for proxy authentication inspite of -slient parameter.
I am using the below command from ExceptionInfo.txt to install Widget Browser
Adobe AIR Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe AIR Installer -silent -eulaAccepted -programMenu WidgetBrowser.air
Does this a common issue or do I need to change something in the command line?
    Regards,
    Karthikeyan M

    Hi Karthikeyan
I haven't had the opportunity to confirm this with CS6 recently, but depending on the callback the air application makes, I have seen examples where using the -revocationCheck never command line flag could potentially make a difference. It would be interesting to see if it does under these specific circumstances with the widgetbrowser.
See http://blogs.adobe.com/simplicity/2011/08/disabling-air-certificate-revocation-checks-duri ng-silent-install.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/creative-suite-deployment-proxy-log.html for some background.

  • Proxy authentication window

I've installed Java Web Start and I'm experiencing the following behaviour.
My web browser has a proxy configured and in the Java Web Start
preferences it's specified to use the browser configuration (not
    manual).
Now, sometimes the window asking for proxy authentication appears,
even when I'm not launching a Java Web Start application.
It seems to me that the proxy authentication window appears when a new Java Virtual Machine is invoked.
Is it a known behaviour ? What's the reason for it ? How can we avoid
    it ?
We think it would be very annoying for a user beeing asked repeatedly for proxy authentication, expecially when he/she doesn't understand the reason why it happens.
    My best regards

... to tweak the config files ?
If you are on Win32 and your proxy is using ? la NTLM authentication then the 1.4.2 should fix this...

  • Office 2013 Keeps Prompting Proxy Authentication

I am using Microsoft Office 2013 behind company proxy. Each time I launch an office application it will keep on prompting me for proxy authentication on the following domains.
this computer is in domain and I am login with domain username and password.
    dilip patel

It's actually easy... go to your browser, for me it was Internet Explorer...go to Settings>>Internet
options>>Connections>>LAN settings>>Advanced. Post the following in the space provided below where it says Do
    not use proxy...:
    officeimg.vo.msecnd.net;
    office.microsoft.com;
    odc.officeapps.live.com
use a proper separator i.e. ; or , according to your browser needs.
    this solution is taken from

  • Where is the Proxy authentication?

    Hello,
I'm having problems using Safari on Windows XP behind a firewall. The proxy settings are correct, as IE does ping the proxy server as expected and conencts to the internet. Safari has the exact same proxy settings, and I've noticed that Safari is refusing to ask for proxy authentication. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Safari multiple times and the problem is not fixed. Suggestions?

An update here. I still haven't found an example of setting the CLIENT_IDENTIFIER from JDBC, but I did find an example of how to set it using the dbms_session package:
If jdoe is the application user known to the middle tier but not to the database, then you can make this call:
    dbms_session.set_identifier('jdoe')
prior to performing a DML operation. If the table accessed has auditing defined on it, then the row in the audit tables will have 'jdoe' in the CLIENT_ID column. This seems to work consistently.

  • Proxy Authentication dialog box displayed very often

    Hello,
since iOS 8.0 / 8.02 our iPads displays very often (somtimes more than 3 times a minute) for proxy authentication credentials.
    We tried it with
    - a payload in our Apple configurator (wifi) profile with automatic proxy config http://proxy/proxy.pac
    - a manual configuration without profile and manual stored credentials and manual proxy configuration in the wifi connection
I think the manual configuration is a little bit better, but still inacceptable.
With iOS 7 and the same iPad and same apple configurator profile we don't have this problems.
    Every help is appreciated.
    Thanks
