Installation Issues Downloading Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

My computer appears to have downloaded acrobat at least to the point that an icon appears on the screen for it.  However, when I try to double-click the icon, it enters into an installation process.  Very close to the end it stops, and provides the following error message:
Error Component:  {98CB24AD-52FB-DB5F-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}
HResult:  0x80070422
What does this mean?

Better ask in the Adobe Acrobat forum, Acrobat, this is the Reader one. Or try your luck here: Downloading, Installing, Setting Up

    Hi MAX22,
Even though it's your computer but your user account might not have sufficient privileges to install the software.
    Please try the following :
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

Isabellasf have you ran the installation files which were downloaded?  By default they are downloaded to the download folder within your User folder.

  • Trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat Xl Pro

I am having trouble downloading Adobe Acrobat Xl Pro and I keep getting sent back to the trial window asking me to purchase the program which I  has already been done.  What do I do now?

If you have the trial installed you should be able to use the serial number from your purchase to activate the trial version to full use.

  • Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop

Need to download Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v10.1.8) onto new laptop.  How can this be accomplished?

if you follow all 7 steps, you can download a trial via one of the links on this page using a browser that accepts cookies:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs6-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a download problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem, but your browser must also allow cookies so that's (a restrictive browser setting) another potential source of problems.

  • How many hours will it take me to download adobe acrobat XI Pro (English) free trial?

how many hours will it take me to download adobe acrobat XI Pro (English) free trial?

    Hi tanadmin1,
Acrobat XI Trial is of Appox. 500 MB and download depends on the speed of network.
You can use the below link to download Acrobat XI.

Do I need to download Adobe Acrobat XI Pro again after using the software on a 30-day trial basis?

You mean, if you now buy it? No. You can enter a license or sign in if you have a subscription and the trial is unlocked.

Cloudi.123 where are you downloading Acrobat XI Professional from?  If you purchased the software from Adobe directly then please see Find a download link on Adobe.com.

  • Downloading Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to multiple computers

I just downloaded the trial version (for now) of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to my home laptop.  I often work remotely for my job and need the ability to edit .pdfs.  However, I am curious, if I decide to purchase the software, will I be able to download it to my laptop AND work computer on the same license, or do I have to purchase the software twice?  Can I just download it from my account to any computer once one purchase is made?  Thank you.

The basic license includes 2 installs for use by the individual. They are not meant for multiple uses. If you wish, just check the license (EULA) in the version you downloaded. The trial is basically the full system and when you have the license, you only have to activate the trial versin. If you do purchase, please backup the downloaded file and the SN for future use. It gets tiring telling folks how they might try to get the download again because they thought that Adobe would have them posted forever.

  • Where can I download Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

I am moving from a dying laptop to a new desktop. I have a license for Adobe Acrobat X Pro but can only find the download link for XI.

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-5-direct-download-links.html
    and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

  • Installation Error for Adobe Acrobat X Pro

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Student and Teacher Edition).  I've also received my serial number for it.  When I attemt to install it, I instantly get an install error for system requirements.  I have....
2.4 GHz processor (1.3 GHz required)
Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2
    IE 8 and Firefox 12 (IE7 or 8/Firefox 3.5 or 3.6 required)
2.99 GB of RAM (512 MB required)
1024x768 resolution (1024x576 required and mine is all mine will do)
    DVD-ROM drive
Can anyone help??  Thanks in advance!!

Actually I finally figured that out.  I had no idea there was 32- or 64-bit version of XP.  Once I got that, I had no more issues.  I just don't know how to close the topic.
    Thanks for your reply!!
