Installation language defaults to OS language

Based in sweden with swedish XP pro, the install of latest version 7.0.3 requires installation language be selected = English (USA). Once install is finished and program is opened, all menus are in swedish. Also have found the menu item in QT to select language, there is only one option - english - which was originally chosen during install, but is ignored when selected here. This problem did not exist with 7.0.2. Perhaps a case of trying to be too clever - please fix or advise solution as have difficulty using QT Pro now as a result.

  • CS4 installation language

    Why I cannot select installaion language? The installation language box is disabled. I use Chinese Windows XP SP3.

    You can only change the language if you are installing as a trial. The language selected during the installation is the same as the serial number you entered.

  • No installation language available for CR 2011

    Hi there, I am working in the Sales Controlling unit of a technical advisory company. We make use of Crystal Reports 2011 on a local installation. One of my collegaues recently got a new laptop and intended to install CR again. But he could not complete the installation. When it comes to select the installation language the pick list is blank. His office is in Oslo and I copied the installation folder/files to his desktop in order to solve performance issues. Local admin rights has been assigned. Does anyone the community have a solution? Similar problems known?

    Hi Don, thanks for your quick response. Yes, I see a lot of subfolders for the languages, I recently checked it. Before I posted my problem to the SAP Community Network I screened the web for any solutions. I observed a similar problem where someone simply shortened the path of the installation folder…. See that link: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3474126 Can this problem be related to the local/regional settings of my colleagues computer? I mean his office is in Oslo and all his settings refer to Norwegian…. Thanks Don Br robert

  • SDK Installation Language - how to select?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install the latest version of the J2SE SDK on my windows XP, and I have a problem. My computer O/S is in Japanese (it's my friend's computer), but I want to install the SDK in English. There is no option given at the beginning of the installation; it looks like everything is automatically set to Japanese. Is there an English-only version I can use? Or am I stuck with Japanese?

    I'm having the same problem.
    When I go to download, my choice is of a multi-language SDK.
    During the installation process, there is no opportunity that I can see to set the language.
    My computer's OS is Japanese Windows XP. The sdk also defaults to japanese i.e. when I work out of the command prompt window, all my compiler error messages are in Japanese.
    How do I select English?

    I have downloaded the Creative Cloud application installer, but the default language seems to have been set as Danish, rather than English!
    My Danish isn't so hot, so any help on how to chage it would be much appreciated!

  • DAQmx Installation language through spec file

    I am facing an issue with an automated installer for NI-Device Driver Distribution . I have used a spec file and am installing in quite mode(/q). I have configured the spec file to install only NI-DAQ, NI-VISA, NI-488 and their dependent components. Default installation configuration("No change") will be retained for the remaining items. The issue is whenever I use the automated installer, the DAQmx and system configuration gets installed in German and garbled text, though all of my OS language settings has always been in English! I am not able to find any language related settings in the "spec file" either. Weird thing though is the remaining items are installed in proper English.
    NOTE : the issue should be with the spec file since manual installation and installation through command prompt, both installs the Device driver components in English.
    Attached - Screen shot of the installed components through automated installer and the appropriate spec file used.
    I would really like to know what causes this issue!!!!
    Attachments:
    Device_Drivers_spec.txt ‏58 KB

    For all who are curious,
    After testing and analyzing the Spec File, we believe the issue comes from having all installers set to "Local". We believe this is forcing each installer to include language support for every language, and so when LabVIEW is launched it seems to be loading the DAQmx palette in whatever language support was installed last.
    For example, when we removed the German language support from the spec file, then the DAQmx palette in LabVIEW would be in a different language.
    We tried making our own Spec File, and left each Language support blank (without a "Local" tag) to run default behavior of the installer and this worked on our side.

  • Quick Time installation - language

    Hello,
    I live in Brazil and I downloaded the Quicktime installer while on holidays in Las Vegas and stored in a pen-drive as I wanted to install the software in English language. However, when I try to install the software (in my computer in Brazil) it automatically starts to install the software in Portuguese. I've opted a while back to buy a computer with Windows Vista in English and I want to keep everything in English. What do I have to do to install Quicktime in English? Any help is appreciated as if it's not possible, I'll have to look for a different software I can choose the language of. Thanks in advance, Ana.

    Hi! I'm having the same issue! Sadly in Spain they don't sell PCs with Windows in English. So, I got it in Spanish.
    I was able to install all the soft I use in English -even Safari, though I had to play a bit to get it-, but Quicktime installs in Spanish and even after deleting all es.lproj dirs it's still in Spanish.
    Were you able to solve it? And if so, how?
    KR,
    /Martín

  • Oracle Universal Installer Language

    Well, the situation is rather simple... or not.
    I have several systems which have the OS installed in a language I don't understand. When I try to run the OUI I get it in that language and even though I've performed a few dozen installations and could probably do it in my sleep by now, I do need to make sure I'm not installing the wrong thing.
    It's even more complicated when it's an eastern language (japanese).
    In unix systems I basically solve this with and environment variable (NLS_LANG, NLS_LANGUAGE, NLS_TERRITORY for those of you who wonder) but I have found no similar solution for windows systems.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you very much

    Thank you very much, I cannot believe i missed that (I actually thought oraparams.ini would hold a possible solution, I just didn't see that particular variable... ¬¬)
    Again,
    Thank you very much.

  • Premiere Elements 11 silent installation language code parameter?

    Documentation instructions (see below for Premiere 10) followed. Still prompting users for Country/Region when installing with the /UL1033 parameter. Did Premiere 11 shelve this? Is there another way to pre-select the country/region? Installs perfectly otherwise. Thanks for any help.
    To start the installation, right mouse click the Windows “Command Prompt” utility, select “Run as administrator” and navigate to the location containing the OEM.exe file. Type the following line with the appropriate modifications:
        start/wait OEM.exe /UL%LangCode% /V“SERIALNUMBER=%Adobe volume license serial number%”
    Replace %LangCode% with the appropriate four-digit language code:
    Brazilian Portuguese= 1046
    Chinese Simplified= 2052
    Czech= 1029
    Dutch= 1043
    English= 1033
    French= 1036
    German= 1031
    Italian= 1040
    Japanese= 1041
    Polish= 1045
    Russian= 1049
    Spanish= 1034
    Swedish= 1053
    Turkish= 1055
    Replace %Adobe volume license serial number% with your 24-digit Adobe volume license serial number.
    Note: Be sure to include the dashes in the serial number.
    Example: If the path to your OEM.exe file is C:\ Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - 64 Bit\, your language is English and your Adobe volume license serial number is 1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111, then your command is
    C:\ Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - 64 Bit> start/wait OEM.exe /UL1033 /V"SERIALNUMBER=1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111."

    jaojr1962,
    /UL1033 parameter is for setting the uninstall language and not for setting the country. So, the country dialoue would come on launch.
    Adobe gives out these instructions to its OEM/enterprise users. If you're an OEM or an enterprise user of PSE/PRE, could you please contact Adobe through your respective point of contact? Adobe would be able to provide you a solution which you'd be able to use to avoid the country selection dialogue if you pre-configure it correctly.
    thanks.

  • Creative Suite Installer language

    I have successfully installed the Creative Cloud Installer on my desktop - all works fine. I have tried to do the same on my laptop and the Installer App is not in English (might be Dutch - I am not sure). I have check my language under my system prefs and they are English and my finder is English... what is going on? How can I sort it? Thanks for your help.

    It is the installer App that is in the wrong language not anything like Photoshop etc - I haven't actually downloaded any of the creative suite yet.
    It is now working but I had uninstall the app and reinstall it again. No idea what was wrong but it is now happy and so am I. Thanks for trying to help though.

  • Setting Clickonce Installer Language based on Language Settings

    Clickonce installer always displays in English language.
    In my scenario, I need to display installer in German, Italy, French and English as my WPF application handles
    Multilingual texts based on System Display Language.
    Please suggest how to create Clickonce installer based on System Display Language Settings.

    You will have to create a custom installer application. Please refer to the following links for more information about this:

  • Does installation language make a difference?

    Hello all,
    A client has request a new server with Server 2012R2 and SQL 2008R2.
    I have installed it all in English, and they have now said that they have an application that will only run on a FRENCH windows, and only on a FRENCH SQL.
    Can this be correct?
    I thought that the kernel was all in the same language, and that the SQL database engine was also not language specific.
    Thanks for your comments
    Nicholas Cross

    Good day nebc100
    I will try to clear the issue :-)
    I will start from the end: There is no problem and you can make the configuration that you need at any time :-)
    I Use more languages which are much more complex (Hebrew, which is written from right to left and it is really different from europeanen languages), and belive me that I alway need to do those actions :-)
    Now for the explanations:
    * There is no SQL Server french or Hebrew or English and the same about windows server 2012r2 (actually from windows server 2008 it start if I remember correctly). You can add languages and remove them at any time (not need to restart even in 2012r2).
    To add a language in windows 2012r2
    - use the search and write: language
    - In the result you will get "add language" click this and add any language that you want.
    - move the language that you want as default up to top. This is important! since this is the default language for all applications (non-Unicode programs) including the SQL Server (if you install the SQL Server after this setting, then this will be the default
    setting for SQL).
    Working with SQL Server and language
    SQL Server supports all languages that are supported by Windows operating systems!
    You can use this query to get all the language that SQL Server support:
    SELECT msg.language_id, lang.langid, alias
    FROM
    sys.messages AS msg
    JOIN syslanguages AS lang ON lang.msglangid = msg.language_id
    GROUP BY msg.language_id, lang.langid, alias
    You can use this query to change the SQL Server language:
    EXEC sp_configure "default language", <langid` that you want to set from previuse query>
    RECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE;
    You can use any language that you want for the SQL Server and yet work with any other language in the database as long as you work with UNICODE.
    The magic word is Collations!
    You can read more in this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144260(v=sql.105).aspx
    ** Every time that I open a new virtual machine in Azure, which is based on build-in template, I need to do those configuration since the default is English and Hebrew is not installed, and the SQL Server is set to English an collation is Latin
