Installation of 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 failled!

Hi Friends,
I am trying to install process chain 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 from business content. After displaying all the activation messages at the bottom of the screen, it ended up with a message "Source System Does not exist".
I went to log file to see if there was any error, but could not find any error (Red) but found Warnings (Yellow). I went to RSPC to see if this is already installed but could not find there. Any could tell me what could be the problem?
Your help would be appreciated in terms of points.

This process chain -0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 (Content Master Data) is the part of Technical content in BI 7. This is installed via a special program for BI Technical content. There is an extremely good document from SAP on this one. You can look for it in sdn or service market place. The name of the article is "BI Administration Cockpit and New BI Statistics Content in SAP NetWeaver 7.0", it is by Ron Silberstein.
Go through that, and follow the steps and you should be able to install Technical content.
If you cannot find the document, let me know, I can forward the document to your email id.

iam performing the installation of oracle applications 11.5.10.2 on RHEL 5.4.
i encounter the follwing errors during the pre req check and iam unable to proceed with the installation.
Both the
1)os patch chech
2)systwm utilities check have got failed
The error i get in os patch check was
check that all pre req patches for jdk 1.4.2 are applied on this platform,
the error i get on system utilities check was
check system for make,ld,ar,perl and cc.
These 2 errors i encounter during install process.
I checked for pre req and i followed metalink and seems all pre req were installed
and which ld,which make and all commands show the correct path
Please say me how can i solve the above erros

Hi Manmit,
Its all depends on your business requirements how you are going to load the data to targets.
For example first you load the data to ods (by one ip) and then from ods to another two odss or cubes (one more ip will be there) after that you can put one more process create index for cubes....this is just an example...
so check the dataflow in your design and based on that you can create a new process chain and modify the existed process chain.
how to assign ds and create an ip?...In the infosources, right click on the infosource and you can see the assign datasource that it will ask source system,. select the source system and then select the datasource and under the source system create some ips and use it in the process chains.

Indesign CS6 trial version installation failling

Hi,
I'm trying to install a trial version of Adobe Indesign CS6 on a (2009) Mac mini 2.26 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 4Gb Ram. The internal hard drive still has 18Gb free space that should be enough to install just indesign. I tried several times (after reboot, rebuild permissions, etc.), even in a new (admin) user that I created just to try the indesign installation, same error. Bellow I include the error summary log that the installer supplies after aborting the installation:

Is that the entire log? I suspect not. Please post the entire log on Pastebin.com and put a link here.
I'm not a Mac person, so my troubleshooting tips here will be pretty basic. The whole log may help some of our other regulars to identify where the problem is.
I'd run the cleanup tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) ro remove any traces of the failed attempts, then reboot to a minimal system -- not sure what it's called on Macs these days -- no extraneous extensions, but a step above safe mode, I think -- and try the installer again.

Failling to Dual partition installation

Dear TechNet win10 preview,
I have downloaded windows 10 technical preview 3.92 GB United States (English) version from Microsoft as ISO file make its DVD
flash drive image & Auto run setup.exe file. but, while installing, it doesn't ask me for custom installation. I have window 7 home basic OS. what to do now? cause I want both OS on different drive. I have one 97 GB free unallocated drive too.

Installation keeps getting failed on some CC applications

After performing clean install Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), I tried to install Adobe CC applications back on my Mac couple days ago.
While other CC applications had been installed without a hassel, I find two applications that kept failling to be installed.
Audition CC and Bridge CC are the ones I am having trouble with.
When I try to install it, it fails at 3% or so. (It varies after reboot, but keeps failing.)
After I click "Retry" as the installation keeps failing, the progress bar reaches up to 41%.
Then no matter how many times I click "Retry", installation gets failed instantly.
The error message says: "Installation Failed The download appears corrupted. Please try again after a few minutes.(-60)"
I've tried installing them both on my iMac and MacBook Air, but the same installation failure occurs.
I've tried installing Audition CC and Bridge CC on my MacBook Air at home, but the same installation failure occurs.
I've tried safe boot. I've tried wating couple days. I've tried re-clean install MacOS X. I've tried changing locations. I've tried contacting Chat Support.
The same installation failure occured.
I suspect that the problem is at Adobe's end, but I am not certain.
Is there any workaround for me to install Adobe CC and Bridge CC?

BI Admin Cockpit - 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 has Inactive Infopackages

Hi SDN,
Basis recently installed BI Admin cockpit for BI Statistics. I am running test loads using the process chains.
The Process chain Content Master Data (0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01) is displaying as inactive. When i go into change mode, I notice that 4 infopackages are red (inactive). Here are the displaying error messages:
-Process variant LOADING 0PAK_BFYU3MMMU2T2WOI50MXHCEH07 does not exist in version A
-InfoPackage no longer exists in object version A in table RSLDPIO
-Variant '0PAK_BFYU3MMMU2T2WOI50MXHCEH07' of process type 'LOADING' not found in A version
How do I correct these errors? Do I have to go into table RSLDPIO and edit the table entries for the InfoPackage or do I need to reactive these Infopackages from BIC (RSA1->BIC)? I also see that there are notes 834280, 1069134, and 1008758 which deal with BI Admin Cockpick installation.

Trying to activate objects in error manually from Business Content.
(Re)Activate DataSource 0TCTIFAREA_TEXT and 0TCTAPPL_TEXT using RSA5 then Replicate and reactivate via RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL.
Migrate to 7.x 0TCTIFAREA_TEXT and 0TCTAPPL_TEXT and restart the program RSTCT_ACTIVATEADMINCOCKPIT_NEW.
=> Log w/o any error.
But DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSFCIHAD5VH9 and DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSCQUJW97MB6 still not active and not reachable in BCT.
I have just found this SAP Note !

WorkAround --> Create your own DTPs and replace the bad ones in the Process Chain.

Run Windows Update to install a security update from 2009 for VC++ 2005 SP1.
Then try to reinstall SQL Server.

Installation of 10g (10.2) problem

I want SQL * PLUS,FORMS,REPORTS (all in one).
So i download 10g release 2. i try to download that on windows but it shows requerments failled like that.why it shows like that? what i do know?
i try to installa that on my friend system it will installed but data base not connected, well opening SQL *PLUS it shows ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

You stated you have downloaded 10gR2, but it is not clear if you refer to the 10gR2 database, 10gR2 Application Server or 10gR2 Developer Suite. The only one which has the forms and reports builder is the Developer Suite, which you can download from the OTN download area.
In a local connection in th windows environment, the error "TNS:protocol adapter error" means you are trying to connect to a non started oracle database service. You must verify the database you are trying to connect is started and your environment variable ORACLE_SID properly identifies it. Otherwise, make sure both, the database and listener are started and you can connect by means of the TNSEntry (assuming it is properly configured too).

Best practice RAC installation in two datacenter zones?

Datacenter has two separate zones.
In each zone we have one storage system and one rac node.
We will install RAC 11gR2 with ASM.
For data we want to use diskgroup +DATA, normal redundancy mirrored to both storage systems.
For CRS+Voting we want to use diskgroup +CRS, normal redundancy.
But for CRS+Voting diskgroup with normal redundancy we need 3 luns and we have only 2 storage systems.
I believe the third lun is needed to avoid split brain situations.
If we put two luns to storage #1 and one lun to storage #2, what will happen when storage #1 faills - this means that two of three disks for diskgroup +CRS are unaccessible?
What will happen, when all equipment in zone #1 fails?
Is human intervention required: at failure time, when zone#1 is coming up again?
Is there a best practice for a 2-zone 2-storage rac configuration?

Hi,
As far as voting files are concerned, a node must be able to access more than the half of the voting files at any time (simple majority). In order to be able to tolerate a failure of n voting files, one must have at least 2n+1 configured. (n= number of voting files) for the cluster.
The problem in a stretched cluster configuration is that most installations only use two storage systems (one at each site), which means that the site that hosts the majority of the voting files is a potential single point of failure for the entire cluster. If the storage or the site where n+1 voting files are configured fails, the whole cluster will go down, because Oracle Clusterware will loose the majority of voting files.
To prevent a full cluster outage, Oracle will support a third voting file on an inexpensive, lowend standard NFS mounted device somewhere in the network. Oracle recommends putting the NFS voting file on a dedicated server, which belongs to a production environment.

Webcenter Installation Stuck at Initial Stage

Good Morning..
Here im posting an error which I got while installing Webcenter on Oracle 11gR1(11.1.1.3.0).
Error:
"INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have version 10.3.4.0 of Weblogic Server. If the version is incorrect then congfiguring with the weblogic server wil faill."
This error i got while installing webcenter(11.1.1.5.0) on Windows 64bit, this error coming at "Installation Location" screen level.
Pls anybody advice me on the same what steps should I take to move forward my installation successfully as it is urgent base at my level.
Here im putting my installtion location details for Middleware "C:\Oracle\Middleware", and for weblogic "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3"
Pls share ur suggestions at your earliest.

LightRoom 5 installation failed after downloading

After the downloading proces the installation failled and I got the following error code:

Portege R700 - original recovery image re-installation failed

Hello
I have a Toshiba Portege R700 for years.
As i already have some trouble, i did a reinstallation few years ago, from recovery partition. Directly.
But, few days ago, i had some issues with my portege.
HDD seems to be broken as it make some noise and was really, really, really, ..., really slow.
So, after making some data backup during hours and hours (remember, it was really, ..., really slow), i lauch a complete re-installation from "recovery partition". It seems to be good, but .. never finished the process, with same HDD noise, and again slow HDD I/O.
OK, my own diadnostic: change HDD.
This done, and using the Toshiba recovery DVD just bought (yes impossible to find the earlied burn DVD), i have ... the same issue. The recovery process does not end even if 'im waiting for days ...
And i have the same HDD noise. With the new one!!
So having a MSDN licence, i installed a Win7 Pro 32bits, but not the Toshiba one.
And it's running for days without any issue!
But i have to reinstall all drivers, and software delivered by Toshiba.
Obviouly i will prefer to find what is the exact issue with this Portege, and reinstall the Toshiba version of Windows 7 Pro.
So, if someonre read the story until, the question is: ANY IDEA?
How to make a HW diagnostic? How to identify the exact problem?

Remember that i
- did a successfull recovery from recovery partition few years ago
- tried 2 recovery recently
try 1, from recovery with initial HDD.
I'm not REALLY sure, but i think that the recovery failled during step "recovery image installation from copied data step 50/52"
I'm not sure.
As it take hours during this step, if it go to the next step or not, as i let it run for hours and hours (yes, i'm persistent)
try 2, from original Toshiba DVD i ordered (35)
I'm sure it fail during an additionnal step you forgot.
Because after "installed OS will be prepared for usage", which configure a lot of things using numerous reboot, there is the final step which is "first launch of win7"
Note that not the exact term, but is something like that.

Hi, i have a instance which i just install which is not failling over to the 2nd node.I come across this screen below and notice that the 2nd instance is only attached to one node. How do I add the secondary node to the instance ?

SSD not detected for mac os x re-installation

I recently bought a Macbook Pro 15" retina display with 512 SSD. It came with Mac OS X Lion 10.7 so I upgraded to Mountain Lion 10.8.3 which was fine for one or two days when it stop working, showing a white screen with a grey folder and a question mark in the center. Then I had to follow the procedures to reboot or reinstall the MacOS. Using Internet recovery. Although I got the software, after accepting the Mac OS X Lion installation, the next screen is not showing the SSD to install it. I checked with Disk Utilities and see no disk to install either. Does this means that the SSD is failling? How can I continue with the installation?

Given the cost of the computer and the fact that it is probably not yet a year old, take it to an Apple Store or an authorized Apple Service Provider and let them deal with it under warranty!
Hint: IIRC, it needed a special version of Lion to work with the Retina's hardware.
Edit. Hint #2: given this unsavory experience, consider the convenience of having the computer protected from these kinds of failures for an additional 2 years by purchasing AppleCare. In a user-unserviceable platform such as this, I feel this is indispensable if you plan on keeping the thing for more than a year.
