Installation of central instance - are these warnings critical?

NW04 ABAP stack:
Installing the central instance I get some warnings, mostly that some files are not found. When I check theses files all are in the mentioned place.
Any ideas why I get these message?
Also some warning with the IGS which does not mean anything to me.
Any hints will be appreciated.

The java load in database <sid>/<server> has already been configured.
Solution: remove the schema and load it with a new load before you run this installation

Installation problem: Central Instance 6.40 Oracle on Linux 32

Hi everybody, I ran into some basic problems with an installation on Redhat EL4 with SUN SDK 1.4.2_12
here is where sapinst stops after selecting the java dvd:
somehow the getting the right Java home seems to be the problem, although environment variables are set...

I have a question about the memory settings reg. the ABAP / Java Add-In installation (Central system).
Installation of CI:
When I install the central instance, I provide a value for the Instance Memory Management.
Installation of DI:
In the step where I install the database instance, I provide again a value for Instance Memory.
Q1: The memory value for the Central instance later is visible in the profile for the CI. But where does the DI value go? How could I change it?
Q2: The value for the Java JVM (heap size) - is this value additional to the value of the CI, or part of the CI's memory. So could I set heap size to 2M while the CI's memory is set to 1M?
Any hints are appreciated.

--> You can ignore this, there is no INSTANCE memory for your database. If you want to configure the memory settings for your RDBMS software it'll depend on what software it is... For Sql Server it's in the Enterprise Manager in Oracle you can edit the init<SID>.ora file...

--> This value is specific to your JVM heap, so it's not additive or related to your CI.

NW70 Installation Error - Central Instance

Hi Ruchit I was just checking some other log files, actually the APP server is trying to call the DB server name with the hostname, but we have not included the IP's in DNS, so we need to change the hostname to IP address. See the below error in system.log file:

Can anyone tell me the SAP Conform right way to do this? In Instguide this scenario is not described. In my opinon I must handle this as SysCopy

Do you mean ABAP and JAVA were installed with seperate installation numbers or database and CI are on another hosts. In either case, you can safely move CI to another physical host.

This is not at all system copy as you are not moving database from one physical host to another physical host"
In ERP 2005 sapinst also have the entrie to install only Central instance. It is under distributed system installation. Please check.

How do we delete the central instance and transfer it to another

I haven't done an installation now for quite some time but what I do rememeber is that while installing CI SAPinst asks you probably for DB server. Here you can give your DB information.
But I would personally recommend that you wait for the others to answer this as well. Juan may be you can answer this more precisely.

upto WAS 6.40 the enqueue and message server defined the Central Instance (CI) of an ABAP stack. With the new architecture both services are moved to the ASCS ínstance, but the term CI still exists.
What exactly defines the CI in WAS 7.x ?

With SAP NetWeaver 04 Java, the Message Server and the Enqueue Server are separated from the Central Instance. These two services are grouped within the SAP Central Services Instance (SCS) as services. From NW04s the ABAP Central Services can be also separated from the Central Instance. Each stack, ABAP and Java, has its own Message Service and Enqueue Service. For ABAP systems the Central Services are referred to as ASCS, for Java systems the Central Services are referred to as SCS. The ASCS and the SCS are leveled as SPOF and require a High Availability Setup therefore. If the ASCS is integrated within the ABAP Central Instance (standard in NetWeaver 04) the Central Instance of the ABAP system needs a HA setup also.

Installation of central or dialog instance?

We are currently running an ABAP-System only. We want to install an AS JAVA in order to use Adobe Document Services. We only want to use Print Forms and no Interactive Forms.
My question is, if the JAVA installation has to be as a central instance or as a dialog instance? I read through all the guides I could find, but I'm not quite sure in this point. Is the dialog instance only usable if you are already using a JAVA distributed system?
What are your recommendations, is it enough to install a simple AS JAVA or would you recommend installing EP or EPC? As I said, the AS JAVA is only needed for Adobe Print Forms for now.

Java Add-in Installation of the Central instance installation

I'm trying to re-install the Java Add-in Central Instance for ABAP.
During the installation of Java Engine, i met the error on SecureStore step.
In the LOG:

referring to the note 1063396, i haven't got "iaik_jce_export.jar" file in the directory specifed in the note.
So, i've just renamed the following files
SecStore.key
SecStore.properties
NOTHING DIFFERENT.
To be sure, i have also renamed the directory /sapmnt/MWF/global/security/data --> data.old

I can not install any flash player version in mozilla browser. In version 10.3 it say : THE INSTALLER WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE WHEN THESE CONFLICTING APPLICATION ARE CLOSED : MOZILLA FIREFOX

-ITS A NEW COMPUTER
-FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
-FLASH ALREADY INSTALLED ON MS EXPLORER V 9
-WEB PAGES REQUEST TO INSTALL FLASH WHEN SURFING WITH MOZILLA
THE INSTALLER WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE WHEN THESE CONFLICTING APPLICATION ARE CLOSED : MOZILLA FIREFOX

Save the Flash installer to the desktop and close Firefox via File > Exit Firefox. 
Start the Flash installer via a double-click on the Flash installer icon on the desktop.
If that still gives problems then see:

Central NetWeaver Installation and DB Instance on same host?

HI all,
Would like to ask a question about NetWeaver installation.
If I choose central installation, means Central Service Instance, DB Instance and Central Instance will be on the same host, but can my DB, say SQL Server reside on separate host?
If not, is it correct that I have to choose distributed installation? So if distributed installation, can I install Central Service instance and Central intance on one host, and DB instance and SQL Server on another host?
