while installing ecc6.0 in windows we got error in ABAP export stage. the error is executing script. can u tell to me that solution for that

I am getting error in Oracle pre-load action like Error when executing script.
so wat can i do to complete installation..i copy cds 4 to 5times and i do installation 5 time every from starting..but still not completed with installation.so can u help me to complete it..

I have an qurey regarding installation of ECC6.0 on Windows Server 2003 ( Oracle 10g)
While performing installation at the begining when we run sapinst server logoff at the begining, then we proceed ahead and start the installation.
My question why in windows server installation phase why our server log off.
I have observer in this time it creates a sapinst_instdir folder in program files and collect all the information of our installation
Can anybody gives me answer of my doubt

Dear Experts,
I want to know about how much space required for Business Intelligence installation in ECC6 normally? Thanks in advance!

what is the 50Gigs installation for? ECC6 + BI AddOns?
How is the BI Installation basically? Does it come as part of ECC6 or should be installed as Add-Ons separately?
Any necessary disk space requirements in particular as part of BI installation?

Error in prepare_jspm_queue in Ehp installer for ecc6.0

Hi,
When I am running EHPI for our ecc6.0, i getting error in prepare_jspm_queue phase, Log file says 'stack.xml contains no components for this system.' It searched the xml file and gave the error. But in my environment we are not using any java components. But I started the ehpi with both abap and java. now i would like to run abap only if possible. other wise what i can do to over come this error.
any help is appreciated.
I am attaching the log here.

You can start EHPi tool to upgrade ABAP as well. Please follow SAP note 1245473. Please find below extract from this note:

Dual-Stack Systems Only: Disabling the Java Stack Handling
If you have updated your ERP 6.0 system with EHP4 and later want to install
further technical usages for the ABAP stack only, you can disable the Java
stack handling. Do not use this option for any other purpose then the one
stated above.
This option is available as of SAP EHP Installer 7.00 patch level 18. To
disable the Java stack handling, start the installation program by entering
the following additional parameter for executing the STARTUP script:
-srvarg=/DSUService/javadisabled=true

The question about the HA installation on ECC6.0

Hi Experts,
We are about to implement a project with HA environment on the ECC6.0 in the near future, which is just about the ABAP stack. After reading the Installating Guide, I stil have several questions related to the procedures of HA installation.
In the guide document, I got the following steps to process for realizing the HA of ECC6.0:
1. Run SAPinst to install the central services instance (ASCS) using the virtual host name on the primary cluster node, host A.
2. Prepare the standby node, host B, making sure that it meets the hardware and software requirements and it has all the necessary file systems, mount points, and (if required) Network File System (NFS), as described in Preparing for Switchover .
3. Set up the user environment on the standby node, host B. For more information, see Creating Operating System Users and Groups Manually. Make sure thatyou use the same user and group IDs as on the primary node. Create the home directories of users and copy all files from the home directory of the primary node.
4. Configure the switchover software and test that switchover functions correctly.
5. Install the database instance on the primary node, host A.
6. Install the central instance with SAPinst on the primary node, host A.
7.If required, install additional dialog instances with SAPinst to replicate the SAP system services that are not a SPOF. These nodes do not need to be part of the cluster.
My Question is that does standby node(host B in above context) need to install the ASCS, database instance and Central Instance?
If host B does not need to install the database instance, how about the whole system would be when the primary cluster node (Host A in above context) totally crash, such as power failure.

1. You don't need to install ASCS on Node B. You are installing it using a VIRTUAL HOSTNAME which represent cluster not individual node. VIRTUAL HOSTNAME is assigned to cluster package, so whichever Node is the owner of the package, will have the VIRTUAL HOSTNAME. (it will switch with cluster switchover)
2. It is actually a cluster package configuration magic. When Node A is active, cluster package owner is Node A. So all mount points (which is on SAN disk) is mounted on Node A. When you switchover the cluster, those packages will be mounted on Node B.
Some time single cluster package is used (which includes mount points for SAP instance + Database directories). You can also use 2 cluster package seperating SAP and Database directory structure.
Only OS related directories should be on servers local disk. All other application related mount points should be on SAN disk which is configured in "Cluster Package". (For example /sapmnt, /usr/sap, /oracle etc.)
You only need identical users and their enviornment settings on both Nodes.
In simple words, When primary node fails or crashed only users and thier enviornment setting will be lost. On second node, because of identical users and their profiles, same settings will be available to bring up the SAP system. Your all SAP and Database data is intact as it is on SAN Disk.

Problems in Dialog instance installation for ECC6.0(ABAP+JAVA)

Does anyone can help me what should be a procedure of installing Dialog instance for ECC 6.0 with both ABAP + Java Stacks.
When installing app server do we also choose ABAP and Java or just ABAP. Installation manual does not cover this and when we run the sapinst we have following problem:
The following are the activities that I have done as pre-reqs on the standby on the server that is to host dialog instance
I have mounted the following file systems on ddrsap02. Created the local filesystem /usr/sap/DSP/D00 and NFS mounted the others

Am I missing some pre-reqs or variable definitions?
I was going through the documentation and it says that /sapmnt/DSP/exe should be a local filesystem for a DI on a separate server. Will this create a problem ?
Also they talk about starting sapinst with the variable SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME set to ddrsap02. I have tried this also
We are also not 100% sure about the settings for parameters:
rdisp/mssserv
rdisp/mssserv_internal
Accorss Devault Instance and Services Instance profile.
When we define it as per installation GUIDE (Abap+Java page 64) we get the popup message in SAPINST:

Other errors follow shortly.

We are installing ECC 6.0 with Oracle 10202 on Suse Linux 10 ( 64 bit ) machine.
We are facing error in the Import ABAP phase.
Below is the error:

Dear Gurus,
I want to install ECC6.0 EHP5 on suse linux 11 i.e SLES-11-SP1 and my database will be DB2.
i want to install ABAP+JAVA.that means i have to install ABAP Instance first after then i have to add JAVA Instance into it.
Am i Correct?

Installation of ECC6 on AIX/ DB2 taking long time

Hi,
I am installing SAP ECC 6 on a heavy power server with AIX 5.3 with DB2 9 and amd all the other setting is perfect with correct JDK version. The first 24 step on installation went fine in 20 min and its been more than 16 hrs where installation is on ABAP import step. The installation is running fine with out any error but its takeing long time
does it take long time on AIX with DB2?

CIN installation on ECC6 SAP system upgrated from 4.6C SAP release

Hi all,
We have a ECC6 SAP system upgrated 4 years ago from a 4.6C SAP release system. In the old SAP release we don't have installed CIN 40A for India localization, and now we need to have this functionalities has we have to do a rollout on SAP for one indian company.
Problem is that we don't have found any OSS note that explain clearly what we have to do to have in our ECC6 SAP system CIN functionalities.
After application of support packages on level 17 (up minimum required by OSS note 1175384) we have launch function j_1bsa_component_check but we have exception that country IN isn't installed.
We can't use transaction O035 as we have a SAP system already customized.
Thanks in advance for any help or useful information someone can do us about this problem.

i about to install IDES 6 and was downloading all the DVD's.
Now I want to start the Installation process in the installation master DVD 51034992_11 but I can not find anything like 'central instance' on the first screen.
What do I have to choose to install IDES?

found in hinweis 1244548 the proper procedure.
unfortunatly it is only 32 bit system, so only abap stack is possible.
only thing left is, the 3 export dvd's are the same, all with data the same data.
Have to find out.

Login in problems after installation of ecc6.0

I have successfully installed the SAP ECC 6.0 without any error .I have set my password for all user as admin123.Now I am not able to login to sap for first time with ddic or even sap* username.Please provide me hlep on this.I tried the default password for ddic as 19920706 and sap* as pass still it does not work.Please help me.

I have install the SAp with Db as SQL.During installtion process I have set the password to admin123 for "Password for all user of sap system".Now while making the first logon to sap system through sap logon pad for 000 and 001 with user as ddic (default password for ddic)or even sap* (password as pass)it gives error "please check username or password and try again".

Check the notes about the your operating system, that have the best practices for your operating system as well as the note for the database. It doesn't have specific guidelines for the post-install because this is very depending the sizing of your landscape and the number of users for each application server and also the type of activity that they will perform. The post-install phase you will probally have a lot of tunning to perform on the system before reachng a stable configuration.
