Hi,
I'm assuming you're machine is OS X (please include this in the future, avoids assumptions). Are you using anti-virus software, if so, if you stop/exit the anti-virus software, does the installation proceed?
If not, or if the installation still does not proceed after stopping the anti-virus software, please try the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Macpage, in the 'Still having problems' section.

I downloaded a song to from iTunes, but even after the download is complete it only plays one second of the song and then it ends. Any ideas?
Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only Guest login created by Find My Mac.
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in Mac OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The Guest login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2. -

iPads do not directly support Flash.
You can look for Flash Browsers in the App store for some options to try. Support is not 100%, but maybe one may work for you. Browsers like Puffin, Skyfire, Photon etc...
IPads do fully support JavaScript. Just make sure its turned on under Settings->Safari->Advanced->JavaScript.
If you require Java, which is completely different to JavaScript, again there are some browsers in the App store that support it. Search for "Java browsers" in the store. -
I need to download an online quicktime video for a project. Its is 3gb so takes a while to buffer but when it buffers to about half way it stops and I have to reload the page and try again?

I have a slow startup or login, with numerious spinning wheels. Sometimes after a long ti,e I can sign into the computer and sometimes it just fails to startup or login. I have a MacBookPro OS X 10.7.5 from 2011. It became more serious recently as I think I might have let my battery run out I also tried to download the operating system to reinstall it but it allways stops around 1.4 GB out of 1.7 then the whell starts again.
Keep the MBP attached to the power adapter.
First try SMC and PRAM resets:

Then try to boot the MBP in recovery (OPTION key down) and select the recover partition. Select Disk Utility>First Aid and verify and repair the HDD.

if i order a new imac with 1tb flash is that pcie based to where i could add a 3.5 ssd and does it still have the bracket and sata cable to add one in it
Be advices that the newest iMac's are basically SEALED Units and taking it apart in any way, other than removing the Memory slot cover to add more RAM (That is on the 27" model. The 21.5" is completely sealed), will void the warranty on it.
Not only that but the screen is Glued to the aluminum casing and if you do pry it off with damaging it you'll need new adhesive strips to remount it.
Not worth the efford or the cost when you can buy mat any other brand computer for less money and do all the upgrading you would ever want without ever voiding the warranty or breaking something in the process. -
I purchased four songs in iTunes, downloaded them, then did a sync with both my iPhone and iPad. All songs show up in the libraries of both devices. I then added these songs to a playlist on the computer then synced both devices again. According to iTunes on the computer, all four songs are in the playlists on both devices. However, on the actual devices, only two of the four are in the playlists. All four are still showing up in the library. I created another playlist specifically for these four songs to see what would happend, dragged them to the playlist on the computer, then did another sync. Once again, according to the computer, all the songs are in the playlists on the devices. However, only two of the four are actually in the playlists on the phone and iPad. Any ideas what's going on?

I had a very similar issue (same playlist). After several frustrating hours of various combinations I was able to sync by changing the options to "manuall sync.." and then "dragging and dropping" the needed playlist from the iTunes Playlist list to the iPhone button (on my itunes setup/view that was from the far left column list of all of my playlist in iTunes to the far upper right "iPhone" button). To sum up "checking" the playlist and syncing didnt work, "drag and droping" the playlist did... at least for now... then I unselected the "manually manage" in the options and re-synced and all playlist were synced correctly. I have customized my Firefox toolbar several times. After closing the browser and then reopening it, the toolbar has returned to the way it was before I customized it each time. How do I get my customization of the toolbar to become permanent?

Take a picture of your toolbars so you can easily reconstruct them from the default after solving the the problem.
If it happens to you it will probably happen again in the future so you might want to keep some copies of your modified localstore.rdf file so you can delete the bad one and rename one of the replacements in waiting. Saving, copying and renaming must be done with Firefox down, of course. -

After upgrading iPhoto 9.1.2 when you synchronize the iphone / iphoto ipad events are not copied correctly (this option checked all the photos on itunes).I found this other thread discussing this topic, no fix, I will revert to 9.1.1 from Time Machine and wait for a new update.

Water damage is totally unpredictable. If it was salt water the phone is definitely dead. If it was not you MAY be able to recover it by putting it in a sealed plastic bag full of uncooked plain rice (not quick cooking or "converted") for at least a week without attempting to turn it on. Better yet, if you can get silica gel easily that works better than rice. If you have tried to turn it on it may be too late for this.
