Installation of Google toolbar does not get completed

This problem occurred after Mozilla updated itself. I lost Google toolbar. I tried to reinstall but, after installation (as add-on) the toolbar does not appear after restart (of the browser). The Google toolbar download reappears again! (I don't know why?) ...

When I clicked on "help" on Firefox menu bar and then clicked on "About Firefox" I discovered that Firefox 4.0 is a "Mozilla Firefox Yahoo ! Edition yahoo - 1.8"
Could this have something to do with not supporting Google Toolbar and Google button ?

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

My Google Toolbar does not open. Requires m e to close Firefoxn and restaret. Damn irritating. Need fix Pronto.

I have Google Toolbar installed. However, it does not show all parts of the toolbar. I have to close Firefox and restart before the full Google toolbar shows. This is irritating at best. Have been tempted to switch. If I am unable to find a solution, I WILL Switch.

First, let's confirm that your change is taking effect during the same session.
After changing your home page setting, and before closing Firefox, if you open a new window (Ctrl+n) or click the Home button, do the 6 pages load?
Second, let's confirm that your settings file is getting updated.
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Scroll down and look for a file named prefs.js (if the .js is not shown, Windows is set to hide file extensions; you can switch that off using the steps in this article: ).
If you right-click prefs.js and choose Edit, it should open up in Notepad or a similar text editing application. If you search in the document for '''homepage''' can you confirm that the line which starts as follows now lists the correct URLs?

If those check out, then some process that runs after you exit Firefox appears to be undoing your change. Here's a possibility:
Some security software has a feature to protect you from unwanted browser changes. However, this also can prevent you from making changes you want to make. I upgraded to FF4 and my Google Toolbar does not show.

I have checked to ensure the check mark is next to Google Toolbar under and it is. I have checked to ensure that Google Toolbar is enabled and it is. However, when you look at my screen there is a space where Google Toolbar should be but it is not visible.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

My Google Toolbar is not showing and should be

When I brought up Firefox yesterday I had no Google Toolbar. According to troubleshooting, it should be showing and is not.

Extensions for Firefox, such as the Google Toolbar, include a list of compatible Firefox versions. Last time I checked, the Google Toolbar only goes up to Firefox 4. However, people have tested and it actually works on Firefox 5, so there are two workarounds:
(1) Edit a file to revise the range of compatible versions
(2) Install an add-on that lets you ignore the range of compatible versions

Google Toolber does not work with Firefox 4

I just downloaded Firefox 4 and Google Toolbar does not work. I removed and re-downloaded it and it still does not work. I can't even uninstall via the wrench. Is there a version of toolbar that works with Firefox 4?

I am having trouble with the Google search bar. The Google tool bar works fine for me.

Addon installer does not get installed when running BIDE setup

i've download BIDE version 1.3.
After running setup the installer projects for VS2005 does not appear in the VS2005. any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Crap. That's what I was afraid of...Well, since I'm away from home and not near my pc, it sounds like I'm out of luck. The problem is that I need my phone to be at least functional for making and receiving calls. There's an apple store nearby. Perhaps I can go there and have them restore it and at least I'll be able to make and receive calls until I get home and restore from my backup. Does that sound feasible, or am I missing something?

SP1 does not get installed when the machine is set to Japanese Language, software push through sccm 2012 , it does gets installed of installed manually, by remoting into the machine

we are deploying the SP1 via SCCM 2012 , and the success rate is around 50 %, its a Light touch installation where user will initiate the installation via Software Center ( Web based )
i was able to gather few errors , and this are the errors which failed during SP1 Installation 0x800f0828,
some errors which sccm reports display are

10008
10021-
17031 -
1602 - User Cancelled installation
113 - No more internal file identifiers available
10070 - File handle reference is no longer available
10050 - A socket operation encountered a dead network
11170 - The task sequence manager could not successfully complete execution of the task sequence
i could not find the reason for some of the errors, also i am looking for a fix/woraround if any
Also i have noticed that in few computers the task seq failed at a place where after the sp1 installation a reboot happens and then PGP BYPASS utility is uninstalled, it did not start the PGP bypass uninstall after reboot
is there a way to cut short the Task seq and keep it simple ?
right now its like this
1. checking for prerequisite : checks for OS Name and OS version
2. installs PGP Bootgaurd Bypass
3. System Restart
4. Installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1
5. Final Restart
6. uninstall PGP Bootgaurd Bypass

My Google calendar does not want to open - the following message comes up:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I have tried to get rid of it but I am not succesfull with this

Try clearing the cache and deleting the cookies for Google. For details see [[how to clear the cache]] and [[deleting cookies]].

Audigy 4 Pro - I/O Hub does not get any po

Hello all,
I purchased an Audigy 4 Pro a few days ago and I cannot get the external hub to power on.
This somewhat sumarizes what I tried so far:
. Uninstalled all drivers and software of my old Soundblaster Li've 5. Platinum
2. Also removed all entries of the old soundcard from Device Manager
3. Powered down the PC fully, took out the Li've 5. and powered it back on and logged on to my Windows XP (SP2).
4. Just to be sure before installing the drivers for the Audigy 4 Pro I cleaned out the cookies, temporary internet files, all other Temp folders, the Prefetch folder and also ran a program to clean the registry.
5. De-activated my Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition's Real-time protection, it's services and also my ZoneAlarm Pro from starting up the next time I reboot Windows.
6. Powered down the PC again, took the power cable out, made sure there was no power whatsoever left and carefull inserted the Audigy 4 Pro card in an empty PCI slot.
7. Connected the larger AD_Link to the card, then to the hub
8. Connected the smaller AD_Link to the card, then to the hub
9. Finally connected the power convertor cable to a free systems power unit
0. Double-checked the entire hardware setup a few times and power the PC back on
. Windows XP detected and installed the OHCI Compliant IEEE 394 Host Controller and the 394 Net Adapter
2. Canceled to proceed looking for a driver when it found the Audigy 4 Pro card
3. Installed the drivers and applications that came with the Audigy 4 Pro. Everything went smooth - no error messages during the installation.
4. Rebooted PC after prompting to do so.
5. With ZoneAlarm and my Norton Antivirus de-activated, all drivers and programs installed properly the external I/O hub does NOT get any power. I also made sure to check this with the remote control.
I have ofcourse no sound coming out that hub when plugging in my headphone and also cannot use my microphone.
6. I ran the Diagnostics program that was installed automatically with the other Creative applications: It claims there aren't any problems.
7. Powered down the PC again, checked all connectors, powered the PC up again: Same problem... no power.
8. Installed the latest 4-in- drivers found on viaarena.com: Same problem
9. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and applications: Same problem
20. Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and applications after taking out all other PCI cards and placing the Audigy 4 Pro card into an other PCI slot: Same problem
2. Set my BIOS to factory defaults: Same problem
22. Formatted the PC and reinstalled Windows XP (SP) with every update thinkable... Same problem
23. Formatted the PC AGAIN ( ! ) and reinstalled Windows (SP2) with updates .... Same problem
Another problem: Sent a detailed e-mail to Creative Support Europe.... Still NO respons after 48+ hours.
Anyone else should have a solution I would appreciate trying out, or if all fails I'll go for a Terratec model.

Amazing, I got mine about 3 days ago and have been pulling my hair out trying to resolve the same problem. I have checked power connections, reinstalled drivers. I think something is wrong with the box. I tried to call support yesterday, which was a Saturday, but they aren't available til Monday. I guess I will call them Monday. Let me know if you find anything out in the mean time.

My itunes does not get the names of all tracks which i import.

When i import a cd into itunes, it does not get any track names. Why is this.
Also, itunes does not connect to the music store. It tells me that i should check my connection etc etc. Are these problems related, and what can i do to fix it?

Let me guess, did you just install/upgrade iTunes?
If so, then it's surely your security software (firewall, web accelerator, privacy filters, etc) that is blocking iTunes.
The iTunes "upgrade" is actually an uninstall, then total new install, of iTunes and QuickTime. Many security packages such as Norton, Zone Alarm, Google Web accelerator, McAfee, PCillin (...the list is long) see this new iTunes install as a malicious threat, and block out the previous settings without telling you.
Go to your security software vendor's website and see if they have directions for allowing iTunes & QT back in the list of programs allowed to access the internet.

I am unable to work on docs in adobe as the toolbar does not appear when I tap on the doc.

how do I get my adobe to work? I open the doc in adobe but cant work on the doc. the toolbar does not appear when I tap in the middle. All contact us help leads to nowhere. the e mails from support cant be replied to. is there another app that one couls use to download doc and actually be able to work on them?

Are these local or online documents? If online, in what browser?
