Installation of OWB Builder

Hi. I get error INS0001 during the installation of OWB Builder. I don't find the error description in the doc. Any idea ? Thank's in advance.

Can you give more details about you configuration (OWB and Database versions) as well as at which point in the installation does the error appear?

We have problems with installation our app build on few devices. There are all in Provisioning Profile, but we don't know why we can't install the build on some devices. Any ideas?

Apple products needing Apple love/support (athough using Adobe to compile to Apple-code may be an obvious concern since nothing beats native-code)
The app still however requires code-signing in the correct manner - personally, the more the merrier.

  • I'm getting an "Error 1003 occurred at Open VI Reference in Dist Call Create Installer.vi- Build Application.vi." whenever I try to create an installer for my app.

I'm running LabVIEW 6.1 on Win XP Pro, and my application
builds fine, but I can't create an installer.

Dependency Walker will show all of the DLLs NIMSIDistKit.dll is dependent on. There is a tree view in the top but the flat list at the bottom will probably be more helpful. It should show the following dlls (at least on a Windows 2000 system):
    ADVAPI32.DLL
    GDI32.DLL
    KERNEL32.DLL
    MSI.DLL
    NIMSIDISTKIT.DLL
    NTDLL.DLL
    OLE32.DLL
    RPCRT4.DLL
    USER32.DLL
If one of these DLLs is missing it will have an error message displayed beside it. I think all of them are regular Windows DLLs so if you are missing one of them your computer might be having other problems. You could try to reinstall LabVIEW to see if it will install a copy of the dll, but you might have to reinstall Internet Explorer or some portion of the OS to get all
    of them.
Probably the most important dll is the MSI.dll. If it is missing or too old it might be the problem. I have version 2.0 but I think version 1.1 of this DLL will also work. If you don't have the dll or the right version run \applibs\distkit\redist\InstMsiW.exe (if on Win NT/2000/XP) or InstMsi.exe (95/98/ME). This will install/update MSI (Microsoft Installer) on your machine.
You can also press F9 to toggle showing just the filename and the whole path to the dlls. Besides NIMSIDistKit.dll all of them should be loading from your system folder. If not you may have multiple copies of that DLL and the correct one is not being found.

------ 2009/10/1 updated by Peter Hwang Sun 64 OWB 10201 patched to 10204
If you try to patch your OWB with 1020X and If you are running OWB in two-tier environment (OWB control center running seperately from DB server), you may want to check wb_rt_service_nodes table for its record.
    select * from wb_rt_service_nodes;
    NODE_ID INSTANCE_NUMBER HOST PORT SERVICE_NA ENABLED RUNTIME_VERSION SERVER_SIDE_HOME
    1 1 SunDB01 1521 test 1
In our environment, last two fields need to be NULL.
During 10204 OWB patch (app server binary), the process updated record and popylated 'RUNTIME_VERSION" with "Generated" and "SERVER_SIDE_HOME" with "/apps/owb" (OWB application server side Home).
Once remove the aboe two, out OWB control center is running fine.

  • [SOLVED] nVidia 87.76 Drivers installer fails to build kernel module

    Hey,
I have a nVidia GeForce2 Integrated graphics card on my Asus A7N266 motherboard. According to the nVidia site, http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_32667.html, the most recent driver that supports this is the 96.xx series. Yet as shown here, http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=87332, many people have found that the 96.xx series drivers cause graphical corruption when using a GeForce2 IGP.
Before coming to Arch, I had used Xubuntu 7.04 and managed to compile the last known working drivers, version 87.76, following the instructions here: http://kmandla.wordpress.com/2007/03/25 … 20-12-386/
That all went well but now I'm using Arch. I tried using the nvidia-96.xx driver in the repos just for testing sake but I still got the same graphical corruption.
Thus I have been trying to install the 87.76 drivers on Arch, but it always fails at the kernel module building stage. I had first applied this patch here, http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthr … ost1086669, before compling as the plain driver wont compile against recent kernels.
Here is the output from the installer:

The name of the directory you placed the driver in contains spaces. That is  why you get the no rule to make target GLX error.
It would be better not to circumvent pacman. I am using the following PKGBUILDs for the 8776 driver:

  • Installation of OWB 10g R2

We would like to install OWB 10g R2 . We have database 10g on Unix AIX HP machine(server).
We like install it in client server architecture though i have gone through some installation guide
I want some clarification about OWB installation in client server fashion..
1)what are components to be installed on the Server.
    2) What are components to be installed on the client.
3)What extra configuration i should do on server end.

1.First create Repository using Repository assistance.
    while creating repository
it will ask you for Repository user and Repository OWNER.
You can create multiple user under One OWner.
After that connect To owb using the one of the user.
Hope it will solve your problem.

  • Installation of Workflow Builder

I want to install Workflow Builder but I can't find it. What does it come with? It doesn't seem to come with Oracle Application Server 9i nor the Developer Suite 9i.

In Oracle9iAS, the Oracle Workflow Builder is installed along with the Oracle9iAS InterConnect Development Kit. For more details, see the Oracle9i Application Server Installation Guide for your platform.
In the Oracle9i Database, you can install Oracle Workflow client components from the Oracle server CD for Windows or from the Oracle client CD included in the CD pack for any platform. Within the Oracle Universal Installer, select the product Oracle9i Client. Then select the Custom installation type and choose Oracle Database Utilities as the component to install. The Oracle Workflow Client components are included under Oracle Database Utilities.
In Oracle Application Server 10g (9.0.4), you can install the Workflow Builder from the Oracle Content Management SDK CD for Windows by selecting Oracle Workflow Client as the product to install.
