  • Unable to install flash player after uninstalling previous version

I am unable to download/install flash player and I had already uninstalled the previous version.  I had been playing farmville and my aol emails just fine and they both stopped working and I was told to try "updating" my flash player.  Well, I must have done something wrong because it uninstalled ok but now when I download it again, I get "did not pass the integrity check (1629.304.428)"  I also tried to reset IE 8 with no help.  This all worked until about 4 days ago and I don't remember updating anything within the last week so I am not sure what I did wrong.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
My OS is Windows Vista 64 bit, web browser is IE8, 32 bit, and I don't have a flash player version according to the link that was provided to check, it keeps giving me the link for the general page with no version numbers.  Thanks!
    Michelle

Download the executable installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Make sure all browser windows are closed when you run the installer(s).

  • "Place in" function in Bridge greyed out, after uninstalling previous version of CC.

I recently updated to the CC 2014 version of the apps. After that I removed the previous versions of Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator.
Now the 'Place In" function in Bridge is greyed out. I tried restoring File associations, re-installing Bridge etc... but nothing worked. It's still unavailable.
Is there any way I can link Bridge with the 2014 apps again so I can use the 'place in' function again?

There are 2 startup scripts in Bridge: "Adobe Bridge CC" script & "Auto Collection Scripts CC 2014". When I click 'reveal all my startup scripts' I get an empty folder.
I also tried resetting my preferences but that didn't help. The 'Place in...' function is still greyed out.
I also had to manually set all the file associations with my apps because bridge always tried to open the previous versions from Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC etc...
(in fact...If I reset the file associations, bridge defaults back to the previous versions for all apps... and then I have to change it again to the CC 2014 version)
It's as if Bridge doesn't know I have the CC 2014 version and can't communicate with it.

  • Reader 11 not uninstalling previous versions when installed via GPO MSI

I donwloaded the Reader 11 msi, patched it to 11.0.1, then with the version 11 customization wizard told it uninstall previous versions of Reader. When I push the transformed msi via a gpo it installs 11 and all of the other setting I set in the transform, like suppress EULA are applied, but Reader 10 still exists after the install.
    Whats going on?

You can try using this tool to remove all traces of previous versions of Reader:

  • Do I need to uninstall previous versions??

    Hello,
Do I need to completely uninstall previous versions of any CS2 (Bridge, or even After Effects 7 Pro) before installing After Effects CS3?
    Thank you!

I'm having the same error message, too. AND I've already tried the cleanscript, several times. All the way to level 4. I still get the same message. And adobe support is absolutely useless. I tell them that Safari 3 beta seems to be a very predominant problem when installing CS3 and they tell me that there are no records of this occurence. Well, threads don't lie, honey. Your customers are pissed. And you know what's even worse? I HAD CS3 installed on my Mac and then something happens in Photoshop, tells me to uninstall then reinstall, and that's when this starts happening. Only the problem jumped to the rest of Adobe's applications and they told me I had to reinstall them, as well. Now, after running multiple scripts and erasing previous versions of Photoshop, I still have nothing.
And what's even more ironic is those people who got a hacked version of the apps and didn't have to go through any of this. Soooo... what's the incentive to purchase from you Adobe?

  • Should I uninstall previous versions of Firefox?

Should I uninstall previous versions of Firefox? I found 4 versions of Firefox in my control panel/programs & features. The latest version is 5.0.

Quite honestly, unless you installed Firefox into a different Program Files folder yourself every time you installed a new version of Firefox, I doubt if those older versions are still installed. Don't '''Remove''' anything until you can verify that the older versions are in fact still there, by "touring" the Program Files set of folder thru the Windows Explorer file interface ''(not to be confused with the Internet Explorer web browser)''.
When Firefox is updated, it installs the new version in the folder where the old version was. And, the Firefox installer uses the same folder all the time, except for the 4.0 beta versions and when the user does a '''"Custom"''' installation & selects a different folder than normal for Firefox.

  • Uninstalling previous versions of Photoshop and Lightroom

I would like to uninstall previous versions of Photoshop and Lightroom in order to free up space.  What is the proper procedure for doing so?  Is it recommended to do?
    Mark Steele

    Is it recommended to do?
It's not recommended nor is it not recomemnded. It's entirely your own decision. As Curt said, there are certain side effects, in addition to file associations also shared components possibly breaking down (PDF libraries), so if it's not that critical, leave them in place. otehrwise you may have to reinstall CS6 after you have removed the other versions.

  • How to uninstall previous versions of lightroom?

how do you uninstall previous versions of lightroom?
Do you also need to delete any folders?
I have Updated to the new LR CC version a couple of days ago and need space.

Knowing whether you are using a Mac or a PC would be rather important to answer your question.
Anyhow, there is not need to delete any program folder manually. Simply use the respective method of your OS.
LR CC created a copy of your LR5 catalog and upgraded it. If you remove LR5 you might want to remove the catalog file as well as the preview folder (make sure not to delete the new ones of LR CC ).

Hi!, I have an Oracle NET client installed on my PC (windows 2000 professional SP3) and I'm trying to connect through OLE DB to an Oracle 8i server on another PC (Windows 2000 server) I downloaded Oracle Provider for OLE DB, but I read I have to uninstall previous versions of OLE DB providers....how can I do that? Oracle OLE DB should be de-installed automatically when upgrading.

  • Should I uninstall previous versions of JRE???

I have these previous version of JRE installed:
    J2RE, SE 1.4.1_02
    J2RE, SE 1.4.1_07
    J2RE, SE 1.4.2_05
I am now updating to J2RE, SE 1.4.2_06 should I uninstall previous versions of JRE or should I leave it alone?
If I were to uninstall do I uninstall via Control Panel or is there another way to uninstall JRE?

There is little harm in either having multiple version (except disk psace/clutter) or removing them. If it turns out you have software that will not work with the latest version, you can always re-install an older version.

  • Adobe Reader Customization uninstall previous versions

Hello, I deployed Adobe Reader XI through Group Policy, Windows Server 2003. I used the Adobe Reader XI Customization Tool, and created a transform. I left the option checked to uninstall previous versions of Reader. Adobe Reader XI installed with all other settings configured properly that were created in the transform; however, the previous version, Adobe Reader X, did not uninstall. Has anyone experience this issue? If so, how did you get the other version of Adobe uninstalled?

Make sure the last thing you do in the wizard (right before you save) is check the box. There is a current bug in the customization wizard that will uncheck that option if you do anything else afterwards. There is a note of the bug in the wizard documentation located here (see the note in section 6.2): http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Wizard/installoptions.html#remove-insta lled-products
The note reads: "There is a current bug in which this checkbox becomes unchecked if any other feature is configured. Therefore, if you want to remove all versions of Reader, check this box as your last action before you save the modified package."

when i try to install firefox again it says the computer must be restarted to finish uninstalling previous version, but when rebooted and tried again it says the same thing, What do I do?

Please try this: Copy the files formhistory.sqlite (or formhistory) and places.sqlite (or places) if they exist and delete the entire Mozilla folder in %APPDATA% and also the Firefox folder in Program Files. • After installing latest Updater should I uninstall previous version?

    Hi,
I have just installed Updater IPod 2006-01-10. Should I now delete/uninstall the folder that has the previous version of Updater in it? I think I know the answer but would like some reassurance before I delete anything!
    Thanks,
    Barry Brotherton

Once you have installed the software on your iPod it isn't necessary to keep the updater installer stored on your computer.
However, wise heads around these parts keep at least one version that is known to work in case any newer version you may install on the iPod in the future contains bugs and causes problems. Read some of the posts on this and other iPod forums to see how some folks have wished they'd never updated the software on their iPods but can't roll back a version because they've deleted any others they may have had stored on their computer.
Apple don't keep older software updaters available for download, and they are very often difficult to find online. If you are worried about them taking up storage space, why not save them to a CD?
You just never know when, or if, you may need one.
