Installation Problems Photoshop 5.0 LE on Win 7
hello,
I recently tried to install5.0 LE (32 bit) on new Win 7 system (32 bit) -it was XP before-, but after installation (the license code was accepted) it could not be opened, it said "no reaction" and it did not load the open the program. It was stuck. I deinstalled it but don't know what to do...

No there was only one version of Photoshop 5.0 LE. Did you just purchase Photoshop 5.0 LE? Photoshop 5.0 LE was released in 1999. The product offering was replaced by Photoshop Elements. The current version of Photoshop Elements is 11.0.

The Installation of Photoshop Elements 12 fails on Win 8.1, 64bit.
Clost to the end of the installation I get the message: There is an error at the installation of the "shared used technologies" (translation) and the uninstaller starts automatically.
System: Asus A7v5 Laptop, Win 8.1, 64 bit, German, 8 GB RAM
I tried it 3 times. Also after fresh restart.
The first time even the un-installer routine failed and left me with a system on which it was neither possible to run the installer again - un-installer started automatically - nor to un-install the product.
The failure log does not show any error. (Log below)
Any help would be appreciated.

I did uninstall Adobe Air, Adobe Reader XI and another Adobe product, rebooted, and after this the installation was possible with no problems! -

Installation problem photoshop 5.0
hello! I deinstalled photoshop 5.0 by mistake, and have problems with re-installation. I restarted pc, deactivated kaspersky antivirus and put in CD, but nothing happens except the audible spinning of the CD. No installation dialogue appears on the screen... can someone help?
thankshello again, I de-installed it again with a special deinstalling program (there was maybe a rest of the program on the PC) and when clicking on SETUP.EXE, ignored the DLL failure message and THEN it started installing... it seems to work again now.. thanks for your time...

Installation problem for Oracle 9.2 on Win XP pro
This is what I have done so far:
1. Launch Setup
2. Specify the Product Key and Home Directory
3. Select Database Option
4. Select Personal Edition (I am a student)
5. Click Install
The Installer starts and I see a progress bar on top. It goes till 36% quickly and when it reaches "Installing Pre-requisites" it just vanishes without any error message.
I changed the "symcjit.dll" to "symjcit.old" but to no avail. Anybody has a solution. Also is it possible to have oracle and sql server on the same machine.
I really appreciate it if someone can helpI have a similar problem. Someone please point out what is the specific solution ! Thanks in advance.

I can't install photoshop elements 6 on my mac (universal binary).
When setup menu loads it says 'Java script alert - Critical errors were found in setup - Incompatible payloads already installed Please see the Setup log file for details'. I don't know where to look for the setup log neither do I have any knowledge of how to fix the problem.

There probably is, but sorry to say so, you're not telling us anything. We need exact system specs and at least a description of what problems you are encountering. Also, do you realyl mean Photoshop 6? If so, be prepared that this old software may never run on your system. If you mean CS6, then that's another matter, but again, we definitely need more info.

I cannot install iTunes 10.5. Problem is that there are rest of installations. I uninstalled all iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apples components, but problem goes on. I run WIN XP SP 3 32 BITS. I accept ideas to solve, thanks.
A bit of repetition, mainly for the benefit of anyone else with the same issue. In your case the "for older video cards" version might be worth a try.
When cleaning folders you need to check both the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders, which you may well have done but didn't mention in the detail above.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

If Photoshop CS2/Bridge is not working correctly after you attempt to install ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) 3.1 or higher, here a some hints on how to debug common installation problems.
1. Make sure that "Camera Raw" appears exactly once in Photoshop's "About Plug-in" menu. If it appears zero times, you did not install the plug-in in a correct location. The correct location is shown below. If it appears more than one time, you have multiple copies of the plug-in installed.
The new location for Adobe Camera Raw 3.x and 4.x is:
>Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CS2/File Formats/
b Note: that the Library folder refered to above is that found at root level and NOT the User/Library folder.
>Win: \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\CS2\File Formats\
2. If "Camera Raw" appears exactly once in the "About Plug-in" menu, then pick that item and make sure the Camera Raw about box shows version 3.1 or higher. If not, you have the wrong version of Camera Raw installed.
3. Run Bridge and pick "Camera Raw Preferences..." from the Bridge(Mac) or Edit(Win) menu. If the command is grayed out, then you don't have Camera Raw installed in the correct place. If the Camera Raw preferences dialog does not have "Version 3.1 or higher" in the title bar, you have the wrong version of Camera Raw installed.
If after you verify that that 1, 2 and 3 are correct, and you are still having problems (e.g. generic raw image icons in lieu of thumbnail previews), then next step is to purge the Adobe Bridge cache for any folders you are having problems with. The command to use is:
"Tools->Cache->Purge Cache for this Folder".Understood guys. But let me make a few points.
1. Clearly I'm not the only one who had this problem. In fact, I wasn't the first person in this THREAD to have the problem.
2. I'm fairly computer savvy, and have worked with Photoshop for several years.
3. Yes, it does say c: in point 3, but I find it odd that in point 4 it does say Program Files/.... A very strange way to write it. Also, the c: drive is the default installation drive, so it's not idiocy for someone to assume that the file would be located on the same drive as you selected for installation.
4. This is not about technically right or wrong. I never said that the instructions were wrong. I merely was trying to make a suggestion that would help people avoid the same trap I fell into. Was it my mistake? Yes. Would my clarifying suggestion perhaps help others avoid making the mistake I did. I would hope so. Also, as someone else suggested in this thread, Adobe SHOULD have written an installation program for the ACR 3.1 upgrade that did the placing automatically. After all, EVERYONE knew that ACR3.1 would be released shortly after the release for CS2...in fact Mr. Knoll himself was quoted in other forums about when D2X compatibility would actually happen.
5. The purpose of these forums is to be helpful to other users--not to be patronizing or rude. I'm a big Photoshop fan, and a loyal customer. I'm also in the service industry, and I would bet that customer service experts would raise an eyebrow or two about the tone contained in certain messages in this thread, including from an Adobe employee.
Just my two cents. Flame away if you must. But you might want to take a look at what I actually suggested in my last message before lighting up the torch. -
I can't get any contact info for installation problem- I just bought a Mac Air and my CS5 is asking for a reinstall. Mac Air has no DVD slots. HELP I al VERY FRUSTRATED THAT ADOBE HAS NO WAY TO GET HELP
You are right, Adobe does not support CS5 because it is no longer sold.
Simply download the trial version of CS5 from this Adobe web site and input your serial number.

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 80073712, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?) -

if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Installation of Photoshop Elements 7 stops, then deinstalls before registration
Hi Forum,
I wanted to install my Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 again on my PC (Windows 8.1).
It already worked on this PC, but it stopped working because a .dll was missing and it said it could be fixed with reinstalling the Program.
But now, when I want to install everything starts fine. I agree to the terms of licence, I can confirm where it should be installed and I can type in my serial number.
Then it starts installing. When it comes to registration it stops and deinstalls everything again.
Then a window pops up telling me that the process was disrupted before ending and I should try again, if I want to end the installation.
Photoshop is definitly not on my PC anymore, so it can not be, that the old version is causing a conflict withe the new installation.
I do not know anymore what .dll it wanted and I dont know how to find out now.
Can somebody help?

plei123try running the cleaner, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 to see if it can find anything to remove.
install using compatibility mode and right click the setup file and click 'run as administrator'.
