Installation - stuck on initializing

Can't seem to get it to install, get as far as 'initializing installer' but progress bar just sticks there. Have tried restarting computer and trying again. Doesn't even let me cancel it, becomes non-responsive?

Sorry you are having problems. Is this on mac or windows? Is it downloading from creative cloud correctly or is it not even getting that far? Are you using the latest version of the creative cloud app. It should be Version 1.7.1.418 released on 7/24/2014. Are you able to install other apps from the creative cloud app?

    We installed Solaris 8 Intel (Europe/ger) on a PIII and are stuck in the
    network config. It asks for systemname, ip,subnet, domain, dns.. (our settings are ok for sure)
    but when whe click the confirm-button it reads some error message
    (translated):
    'Error during system configuration. Go back and check your settings'
    An interesting fact:
    The net seems to work, the machine's got its ip and we can ping it from outside.
    WE JUST CAN'T FINISH THE SETUP TOOL (Interactive Install).
    What we already did is configure the gatway in etc/defaultrouter, and
    with route add default. The router is in the same network, and it's ok.

    The agent never get installed successfully. It is on initial status forever during installation. After reboot, the agent service does not start. Anyone see this

    More information:
    It also has Zenworks 7 agent installed. I did a further test as below
    1. upgrade installer to 4.5.6001.22159
    2. install zcm11 agent, it is on initial stage forever.
    3. re-boot the machine. zenworks agent service did not start, but
    Novell application launch service(a zenworks 7 service I think) did.
    However the Novell Application Launch service entry has been removed
    (I think it is done by zcm agent after reboot, but the service has
    already started)
    4. manual start the zcm zenworks agent service, it works fine.
    5. re-boot again, agent service start automatically.
    Does anyone know how to log the installation process?

    "INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have version 10.3.4.0 of Weblogic Server. If the version is incorrect then congfiguring with the weblogic server wil faill."
    This error i got while installing webcenter(11.1.1.5.0) on Windows 64bit, this error coming at "Installation Location" screen level.
    Pls anybody advice me on the same what steps should I take to move forward my installation successfully as it is urgent base at my level.
    Here im putting my installtion location details for Middleware "C:\Oracle\Middleware", and for weblogic "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3"
    Pls share ur suggestions at your earliest.

  • It is stuck on Initializing Installer???

    I am on PC and when I double click the icon to install I the green bar moves a little but stops after about 20 seconds and it is stuck on initializing installer. Tried restarting and re downloading nothing helped.

    I have XP SP3. Intel pentium 4 2.6Ghz. 4Gb RAM. 116GB open on one HDD, 72GB open on the other.
    I'm on Admin access level.
    I'm trying to install iTunes 7.7 bundled with Quicktime 7.5.
    I emptied my temp folders.
    I shut down my antivirus and anti-spyware.
    I shut down all non-essential startup menu items.
    My folder names dont have unusual characters.
    I have uninstalled all versions of Quicktime and iTunes and iPod updaters from my machine.
    Still no luck.
    When Installing the Quicktime application, the entire machine locks up when it gets to the "Initializing Quicktime types" segment of the install.
    I have left the machine on its own for up to 14 hrs and it never does regain normal function.
    The only way to regain control is to reset or hard shutdown.
    Can someone please respond to this so my daughter can use her 2 month old graduation present?

    How about standalone downloads for each application?
    And, how about patches so the download doesnt take so long and the installation doesn't need to be so intrusive?

  • Hyperion Uninstall stuck on Initializing

    Hey all,
    When attempting to uninstall using either Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall.cmd, I can make it all the way through product selection and confirmation, however once running the uninstaller is stuck on initializing.
    On attempting to perform a manual removal I am unable to get all components. Deleted Hyperion folder and vpm.properties and relevant registry entries, but it still shows as installed when attempting to perform a reinstall.
    Anyone have any ideas on how to make the uninstaller work (which should be a given) or where to find any remaining components for manual removal?

    Under the installation directory you will find two files set_hyphome_1.bat and .oracle.products. Make sure you delete these two files.
    It is better to go ahead with uninstallation through Oracle EPM System-->Foundation Services--> Uninstall EPM System instead of deleting the Deleted Hyperion folder and vpm.properties and relevant registry entries.
    You might face issues while reinstalling the EPM System all again. Try installing it on the different drive on your machine.
    eg: If You have installed it on C drive the path where you will get set_hyphome_1.bat and .oracle.products.
    C:\Documents and Settings\<name>\

    What happened prior to this issue? (update, paper jam, changed toner)
    I would do a hard reset if you haven't tried this method.
    Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
    Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
    This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • Windows 8.1 installation stucked at 'Finalizing your settings' stage!

    I have G580 model. yesterday I was trying to install windows 8.1 but the installation stucked at "Finalizing your system" stage for about 18 hours! I tried several times to go to the BIOS for reinstall 8.1 or fresh installation of windows 7. but I cant enter into the BIOS by pressing F2/F8/F10/DEL whatever after restarting my system immidiately! what should I do! please help me to install my previous windows 7 OS.

    If you performed a clean install, try again and see if it works out. The same thing which you faced happened to me while I was upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1, it took me a couple of tries before 8.1 would finally install.

  • Why is the installer stuck on "Checking System Profile-"?

    I'm trying to install Flash Catalyst Beta on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.1 (Snow Leopard).
    The installer starts to work, but then it stops at the point where it checks the system profile (see attached screenshot). It doesn't seem to have crashed as the dock icon allows me to quit without force quitting the application.
    I've tried it in my regular user account and the administrator account, but the behaviour is identical.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    1. Have you modified any folder permissions, authorization setup using
    Keychain Access utility (or any other tool)?
    2. Open a Terminal window, and run the command 'ls -l /tmp' and copy-paste
    the output printed on your screen in your reply.
    3. Delete all files whose name start with 'asu' in your /tmp folder. Run the
    command 'rm -rf /tmp/asu*'. Restart your machine.
    4. Launch the Flash Catalyst setup and check if installation proceeds
    successfully. If it doesn't, proceed to the step below.
    5. Open the folder containing the Flash Catalyst setup. Browse to the
    'packages' folder and rename the file 'install.sig' to 'update.sig'. Double
    click and launch the Flash Catalyst setup. This will not install the
    application but install the Adobe Application Manager. Let me know if you
    see a small dialog with a progress bar. Rename back update.sig to
    install.sig. Update us your observations. Continue to next step.
    6. Launch 'Disk Utility' app (from /Applications/Utilities). Select your OS
    partition in the left panel and click on 'First Aid' tab on the top. Click
    on the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button at the bottom.
    7. Again, launch the Flash Catalyst setup and check if installation proceeds
    successfully. If it doesn't, proceed to the step below.
    8. Open a Terminal window and navigate to the directory containing the Flash
    Catalyst setup. Run the command 'sudo Install.app/Contents/MacOS/Install'
    and enter the password. Let me know if the installer launches and on
    following the screen instructions do you still see the error screen or does
    the installation proceed successfully.

    I am installing OBIEE 11g on Windows7 32Bit OS.
    I have done with all the steps till step 11 without any error. However, ASA it starts the step 12 (i.e. Configuring WebLogic- Copying files...), installation stuck at 0% and do not continue. I waited for 8-10 Hrs but it never started copying files.
    Also, I tried the installation numerous times, but every time I got the same problem.
    I verified the logs as well, but there was no error.
    Please help me to resolve the issue.

    HI ,i had my report server on SQL SERVER 2005,and for
    reporting service i am using the sql server reporting services 2008R2,i created a report which i am supposed to display in Website ,i
    created the rdl using the BIDS 2008 and , its throwing me an error because my report server is in 2005 and my rdl is in 2008 and i was using it in VS2008 Report viewer control,i was told that i am supposed to create rdl in 05 in order to get
    it run ,but i dont want to create another one since it was pretty big and took lot of time to design it
    Is there any way i can use the same rdl with that report server ,one of my collegue told that i can do in one way (using  catalog of SQL server 2008 Reporting in sql server 2005 report server database i did'nt get that much as iam not aware of that
    catalog stuff .and i tried to configure the report server once again and i am getting this new error

    in ssrs 2005 there initialize but in ssrs2008 r2 i couldnt found that option so can any one please help me out with this .

    GO TO report server configuration and go to Encryption keys and delete encryption keys and try to run the URL again, it works.
    I had SSRS2008 two installations, the second one gave this problem, this solution helped resolve it. Thank you.

  • FCIP interface stuck at initializing on 9216i v2.1a (vsan segmented)

    Following the instructions in both the config guide and troubleshooting guide to configure the FCIP profile and interface, my fcip2 interface status is stuck at initializing. Looking in FM events tab, I can see that the 9216i's are cycling between these states: vsan merged; N_Port unmanageble; vsan segmented and N_Port Up. show fcdom domainlist on the higher priority switch shows it flip-flopping between [local] and principal] [local] states. Using show zoneset active, I can see the zoneset being transfered over to the 2nd switch. Despite all this, the fcip interface does not stay up. Thanks for helping.

    Just going from your info, it sounds like the interface comes up for a little bit of time. More than likely then, the issue is MTU. You have an MTU configured larger than somewhere in the network can handle it. If you get the show log output and it shows alot of TCP retransmissions, this is the problem.
