Installation terminates every time!!!

First of all, i got extremely bored with this,,,
i installed acrobat 11, the latest version, worked perfectly,,,
found an update for it in the adobe application manager, applied it, and here everything wrecked,,,
acrobat never started again,,,
i uninstalled, tried reinstalling, but failed every time,,,
"interrupted before....."
and rolls back,,,
how can i do?

Moving this discussion to the Acrobat Installation & Update issues forum.  Did you receive any error messages when applying the update?  What update specifically were you applying?
Due to the behavior you are experiencing it appears you are using Windows.  What specific version of Windows do you have installed?
Finally you may want to review Suspended installation errors for Acrobat (on Windows) - http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/suspended-installation-errors-acrobat-windows.html as I believe it is relevant to the difficulties you are currently experiencing.

Because you never run the install of whatever program you are referring to with sufficient user privileges and it thus never "sticks". Run as admin, turn of security tools, let the install finish properly. If you need more guidance, provide system info and tell us what program you actualyl mean.

  • Do you get the Installation indicator every time you Restart or Start Up your computer?

Do you get the Installation indicator every time you Restart or Start Up your computer? On all my computers upgraded to 10.10, I get the Installation "thermometer" indicator every time I Restart or Start Up my computers. In Verbose mode, I see a bash command that is looking for the Installation image to finish its clean up. Does anyone else have this problem? Is the Installation indicator the new "normal" start up and restart screen for 10.10?

If you are referring to the progress indicator that appears every startup, that is normal. It has replaced the old spinning gear. There's nothing wrong.

  • Post-Install Issue - Windows Installer runs every time CRW XI R2 loads

I have XP SP3.  If I uninstall CR XI SP2 and re-install CR XI from cd, it loads perfectly - no windows installer.  When I uninstall CR XI, and re-install CR XI SP2 from the saved download on my harddrive, the Windows installer runs every time I load it; it seems to think it's never been run before.  Takes 3-8 minutes to load every time, which is completely annoying.
I have also tried downloading that full build of XI SP2 3 times - and uninstalling/reinstalling.  Makes no difference.
I know this is not a design issue, but I didn't know where else to turn.  I have been tolerating this issue for about 18 months and I can't take it any more!
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Please try using other computer units then update me the result, the purpose is to check if your unit OS may be the problem.

I have tried EVERY suggestion Adobe has made and no matter what, I get the black "Adobe Reader Installer" screen EVERY TIME!!  Any suggestions to help me overcome this problem would be appreciated.  BTW:  I have a Windows 7 Home OS.  I prefer FireFox.  I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader using all the major browsers, however it does NOT matter, I am NOT able to actually install Adobe Reader, every time all I get is the black pop-up "Adobe Reader Installer" screen!!!

PS.... I had a previous version on my computer that needed to be updated.... so I uninstalled it because I was having trouble installing the new version.... so even that did not help!!

  • CC - Installation Errors EVERY Time!

I signed up for a Photoshop CC subscription about 1 1/2 months ago, expecting my experience with the application to improve as a result.  Instead, I have been nothing but disappointed.
I have used Photoshop since version 7.  I have upgraded to the latest version (now CC) every time a new version was introduced, and until the introduction of the Creative Cloud the upgrades have always worked fine on the first attempt, with no issues.
Since I signed up for CC, I have been notified repeatedly (at least once per week) that updates were available, and I have downloaded the Adobe Application Manager plus multiple updates to PS CS6, Bridge CS6, PS CC, Bridge CC, and Adobe Camera Raw.  Almost every single time, the update has failed on the first attempt, reporting a cryptic and meaningless error message like "Adobe CSXS Extensions 4 Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7".  This happens on both mty desktop and laptop computers.  I have spent many hours trying to resolve these installation failures, and I am truly sick of it!!  Moreover, it is almost impossible to get meaningful assistance from Adobe; mostly, the response I get I get to requests for assistance is canned answers that do not address my issue.
It seems very clear that Adobe has released CC and the Adobe Application Manager prematurely, with faulty designs and/or inadequate testing.  This is a huge disservice to their customers!  A premiere and very costly application package should be robust and reliable, and it should certainly get better customer support than Adobe exhibits.

Jdp3az the U44M1P7 error indicates the update has failed to apply.  You can find more details on how to resolve these difficulties at Installation failed. Error U44M1P7 | Updates - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html.  It is likely that the updates are not available for direct download.  If that is the case then you will want to review the installation log files.  This will let you know what is preventing the update from being applied successfully.
Depending on your operating system there are a number of common root causes for update failures.  Which operating system are you using?  Also feel free to post any specific error messages from your installation log to this discussion.

  • Published GPO login script Office installer runs every time launched

I was working on a test environment with my own machine to deploy OCT Office 2010 ProPlus config.
It is now launching an installer every time I open any office product.  It then says "fatal error during installation".  I cannot uninstall it, it doesnt even popup the office uninstaller window. Change also does not work.  I also
cannot reinstall with a clean setup copy disc.
    I have tried:
    1) http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/65070a09-b229-4eb1-bc4f-b9962a4b1864/office-2010-professional-plus-reconfiguresreinstalls-every-time-i-launch-an-application?forum=officesetupdeployprevious
    2) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
The GPO is now deleted and not running anymore - but this is still occurring and I cannot figure out how to resolve.
Thanks for any help in advance!

Seems that you deploy Office through OCT but meet the unhappy thing during the installaion.
Tried the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (MSICUU2.exe) and modify the one of registry key but the Office still stay there but failed to be removed.
At this point, I recommand that we perform the steps in following link and remove Office 2010 suite compeletely.

For the reason why we receive the error message ""fatal error during installation", please reference to the article:General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013 and Office 365 (it also
    applies to Office 2010)
If you want to further analyze the root of the installation issue, view the Office setup log is a good choice.

  • Installation fails every time

My installation of Adobe Acrobat Professional 11 UE MAC ESSC fails every time I try it. I don't know how to contact Adobe to get help. I am running Mac 10.8.5. Galen Strawson

I don't have this machine but here are a few things you could look at; that is if you haven't already.
    Things you could try:
    Changing up the Bios Settings.
if it came with win 8. it is probably runs a uefi firmware. These often have a bios backwards compatibility mode. You could try checking those options and turn off secure boot and turn on the bios backwards compatibility mode and see if win 10 will install.
if it came with win 7, it may have a bios with those features not turned on; if that's the case try turning them on.
Note: you may lose/gain security features or boot speed by disabling or changing some of these features. But it may tell you if a uefi firmware or bios settings incompatibility that could be causing your installation issue. You could also try a different
    HDD.
Also you didn't mention whether you were trying to install from a usb stick or if you burned the iso to a DVD. If you are trying from a USB and have a DVD drive. Try burning as a DVD. I had dell lattitude that would never install from my usb; it would start
installing but then it would stall, but from a dvd in the dvd drive it installed alright... kind of weird (I was installing win 7 not 10, so not sure whether it would make a difference on win 10.)
Win 10 may also run but the install is borking on your machine... this is unconventional and surely not recommended, but you could put that laptop hard drive in another machine and run the install. Then on the last reboot swap the hard drive back into your
laptop and see if it boots up.
This may allow you to try running the os and see how it works on that laptop, if that's your goal.

  • Installation Errors EVERY TIME

    I'm trying to install windows.
I have 5 different versions of windows on disk... and none of them work.
I partition to 85GB for the windows side then I pop in the disk and restart.
Hold option, choose the disk, and start loading up it gets half way through the loading of drivers and stuff and gives me
Error occurred (769) on line 5182...
Every time... It changes though to the type of disk. Error 769 on line 5199 or many others.
I've deleted and re partitioned my drive twice seeing if that would help, but no luck.
I've repaired permissions and all that good stuff.
Any suggestions? I just reinstalled OSX 2 days ago and I'm using leopard 10.5.4
    All software updates are done.

Well NONE of the versions of Windows that you listed in your post will work. The supported Windows version under boot camp are:
Windows XP w/SP2 or SP3 on the same installation disk - FULL VERSION
    Windows Vista - FULL VERSION
Please click [HERE_|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1899?viewlocale=enUS] to get full information on system requirements and the versions of windows supported by boot camp.
By the way, I am not sure if you knew or not but the versions (Tiny, Black and Ice) that your friend brought over are all either hacked or pirated versions of Windows XP. I can assure you that none of them will work on boot camp. Your CD of XP original is probably missing SP2 and therefore did not install.
    I hope this helped.

  • CR XIR2 installer runs every time designer is opened!?!?!

I just updated a CR XI installation to R2 and now every time I open the designer a dialog appears stating "Please wait while Windows configures Crystal Reports XI Release 2".  It shows about 5 or 6 times then I get a dialog stating "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy...".
What is going on?  How can I make it stop doing this????
Does ANYTHING with Crystal Reports work properly?  My entire week has been wasted on Crystal Reports issues.

I have seen this happen before.  It usually means there is some kind of OS corruption in the Windows Installer registry and is not necessarily CR specific (I have it happen with Frontpage all the time) nor is it OS specific (have seen it in XP Pro as well as Vista Ultimate).

  • Trying to dowload Dreamweaver but the installation crashes every time. Tried a different browser as well, using Mac.

Btw this support is not user friendly. Had to click through like 20 options to even get here. Adobe, get your customer service together for crying out loud.

Ok, I am sorry for not reporting adobe's problem properly, if I attach this "crash log" will somebody (you?) solve it then? Where do I even get the crash log? It's the adobe applications manager that crashes, I get this every time:
You have to understand my frustration here. Not a word in 24h from someone who's actually willing to help. And I am trying to purchase a product, i.e give this company money. Phew. It would be nice to actually speak (or chat or whatever) to someone who wants to help.

  • Why does my update installation stall every time?

Stalls and locks up here, every time, for months now. Windows 7. Even after turning off all virus protection and giving Defender permission.

    Use the offline installers
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • Installation stops every time at 33%

I've tried updating Flash six times now. I've restarted, updated EVERYTHING else, checked that we have a robust connection. Here's the details:
This is a macbook pro with the latest Yosemite update. When I attempt an update, everything goes fine at first. All the prompts etc work normally, and when I double-click on the Flash icon it opens a window with a progress bar that says "retrieving update". it begins the process and hangs up at 33% where it then stays indefinitely. A couple times it's gone to 34 or 37% but it's been a false hope, it always gets hung up.
Each time I wait 30 min or so to be sure, then abort, restart, try again. Same issue every time. Is this a problem with the Adobe servers? If it were my connection it wouldn't hang up at the exact same place each time, it would hang up randomly (I have streamed video between each install attempt to verify a robust connection). Needless to say, I am at a wall. What next?

I had the same problem.  Later I found a post that said to use this link: [Please always download updates from Adobe to avoid malware] http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg
It's worked for me.  Good luck.

  • ITunes installs itself every time I open it.

Whenever I start iTunes, ever since upgrading to the latest version (10.1.1), Windows Installer comes up and installs iTunes. This lasts a few minutes and then iTunes finally comes up. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

The "Please wait while iTunes configures iTunes" is a repair install of iTunes. (The advertised shortcut for iTunes has checked against the installation database in the iTunes.msi to see what itunes program files, registry entries and other itunes whatnot ought to be installed on the PC, and has discovered something missing on the PC. So it's trying to replace those items.)
MSInstaller events will be being recorded in your Applications event log about those repair installs. If we're lucky, they'll tell us what item is missing that iTunes has been trying to repair.
In Windows 7, open Event Viewer by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Event Viewer.
Open the Windows logs folder. Open the Application log.
Look for MSInstaller events generated at the same time as the iTunes repair installs. (You may see several different MSInstaller events for each repair install.) Doubleclick on the events to see the descriptions.
Are you always getting the same descriptions for your iTunes-repair-related MSInstaller events? If so, paste a copy of the description for each typical MSInstaller into a reply here so we can have a look, please.
