Installation trial version - ERROR: Media DB Error : 12

When trying to download any trial version, the installation stops at 42%. And it states ERROR: Media DB Error : 12.
How can I resolve the problem please?

I am trying to download Creative Suite Standard Design CS6, after uninstalling my version of CS5 I am getting an error after selecting the Install process. The error says "Inconsistency in the installer database" and the error report is as follows.

I'm trying to install Indesign CC on a Mac, OS 10.6.8. but the installation is failing. The log shows ERROR: Media DB Error : 6 . Any suggestions to solve this would be much appreciated.

Error on Installing CS5.1, CS6 - Exit Code 15, ERROR: Media DB Error 6

Hi. I am trying to install Photoshop CS6 trial on my machine (win 8 x64) but all the time it returns the error:
Exit code : 15
Summary
- 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s), 0 warning(s)
ERROR: Media DB Error : 6
I have already used all the steps described on the forum (restarting the PC, downloading again the app, using Adobe Clean Tool) and no success. I even tried to install Photoshop CS5.1, but it goes with the very same error.
I currently have Fireworks CS6 installed, which I managed to install several months ago without a problem. However, when I try to uninstall it, it shows me also an error message:
UNINSTALL FAILED
Your uninstallation encountered errors.
Troubleshooting tips:
1. Restart your computer.
2. Exit all applications [...]
3. Uninstall again.
You may also download & run the Cleaner Tool. If the problems persist, please contact Customer Support for further assistance.

After using the Adobe Clean tool, I checked its output log and it mentioned it couldn't find a "caps.db" in the Common Files/Adobe/caps/ folder under Program Files or Program Files (x86).
So what I did: I manually deleted the Adobe folders from:
- Program Files
- Program Files (x86)
- Program Files (x86)/Common Files
After that, I was able to install successfully Photoshop CS5.1 and at this very moment I'm able to install PS CS6 (it's been already 50% of the installing progress).
So far, this action of deleting the Adobe folders from my Program Files folders seems to be sorting out the matter...

I'm using the Creative Cloud on my iMac (OS 10.7.5) at work and whenever I try to download anything from my apps, whether that be installing new software or downloading updates to my existing software, I get this error message:

It's super frustrating because I would love to update to the CC 2014 version of all my programs. Also, my co-workers who are working on the same machines and same Adobe Cloud set-up haven't had any issues with it. Does anyone have and idea what could be causing this error?

if that fails to resolve the problem, follow solution 2 here, CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed

Give full permisson in to below given location also inherite the permission to sub folders and files.
Windows (64 bit OS) : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps
Windows (32 bit OS) : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\caps
MAC : /Llibrary/Application support/Adobe/caps
Then try to install, if still not work then Rename media_db.db located in above mentioned location to media_db_old.db
After Renaming try to install the software

Why do they even offer a free trial version of livecycle es4, when its obviously not free??????
i have tried from two different computers, windows 7 and windows 8, and before it can finish installing,

Thank your for your reply. I am running windows 8.1. And there is a huge mess going on. I was on with Adobe tech support all morning and they cannot get photoshop, premiere to update. Then they tried to uninstall, and it would not uninstall. They renamed the directories and did a direct reinstall and it failed. They changed permissions on directories. There are no viruses or malware. I run cccleaner, pcmatic and scan all the time. This process also corrupted my purchased licensed version of Fireworks CS6. Now I cannot even get that to install. We have run the cleaner over and over. So finally I manually cleaned the registry of selected Adobe products and removed everything from the hard drive. I am now running scans because they had me disable my pc matic and windows firewall temporarily while they worked on my pc. I am a graphic designer and I have a project in the waiting. I need to have fireworks, flash photoshop and premiere working but I don't think this is possible.

I installed the photoshop CS6 trial version and got an error.

I installed everything without a problem and verified my adobe acount but when it tells me to sign in an error pops up that says: "Please connect to the internet and retry."
But...I'm connected to the internet and there's nothing wrong with the internet that would cause a problem for signing into something. I even tried restarting my laptop and signing in again but got the same error.
What should I do?

1. Nope, I'm not on a managed network. This is my personal computer onto which I'm installing software.
2. This thread is about CS6. I have just bought the CS6 Production Premium suite, and have (per support chat instructions) attempted to install both the full and the trial versions. I've followed all the instructions on the website listed in post #1 here, and have followed all the suggestions of those on chat support.
3. I have a sufficiently-powered computer (i-7 Intel processor on Windows 8 with 8 megs RAM), and have attempted the installation on both wired and wireless connections, with and without firewalls and antivirus software enabled. I can do everything I want with my computer and internet connection except get past this sign-in screen.
Google "please connect to the internet and retry" "adobe" and you'll get thousands of hits, a whole lot of them having to do with CS6. Has Adobe recognized this as a bug anywhere?

Ec.argos this an Adobe AIR error message. You will want to remove the current installation of the Adobe Download Assistant and reinstall.

Every time I open any project in Adobe Premiere CC Trial Version, I get the message "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will try to save your project." I can't edit at all and am totally stuck. Please help!
It's terrible that this is happening on the trial version as it's making me want to go straight back to FCP! Also - I've tried switching external hard drive and that also doesn't work.

I am running windows 8.1 and I have purchased PS Elements 13 on DVD but Icannot install the Software, I get as far as 2% on the installation and I get an Exit Code 15 with ERROR; Media DB Error : 6

I have also started my PC in safemode with Network enabled, as recommended by adobe, but to no avail! I just get to the 2% installation stage again, with the same error.
I have checked all the system requirements, all is OK. I am not a techie, I just like photography! but it now seems to me that Adobe like making the simple installation of a software programs impossible for normal computer users, can any body help or offer a simple solution! or do I have to return my software to seller again!
