Right after "Publishing product information":
"The iTunes for Windows installer has completed.
The installation was interrupted before iTunes could be completely installed.
The System has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation again.
Click Finish to exit the wizard. "
Describes the problem, but (1) this is a routine upgrade from the previous version (I've never had problems before), (2) I disabled all virus protection etc. (3) downloaded an other copy to make sure not corrupted

okay, let's try enlisting some additional technical help.
let's try getting a installer log to someone who can interpret installer logs.
Start menu -> Run... In the text field of the dialog that comes up, type in "cmd" and hit return.
In the command prompt dialog that comes up, find the iTunes installer on your desktop and drag it to this window. Then on the same line type in a space and then the following:
/Verbose"c:\log.txt" /V"ENABLE_QTLOGGING=TRUE"
There is no space between the e in Verbose and the double quote ("). There is no space between the V"Enable...
Hit return.
The installer will create two log files:
C:\log.txt and C:\qt.log
Find those files and send them to this email address Put the URL to this discussion thread into the email, so that the person who gets it has some context. Let them know the version of itunes you’re trying to install, too … in general, give as much info as you can.

    I would appreciate help with my problem. I'd like to use iTunes but it doesn't work.
    Description of the problem: I was happily using iTunes for more than a year. I received a notice that a new version was available and I upgraded. When the installation was complete I received the following message:

    iTunes is not listed in the Programs menu and there are no files at c:\program files\itunes (itunes folder is not there).
    After subsequent downloads and installs, I get the same error. When I do the iTunes standard install, QuickTime is

    During the install the iTunes icon briefly appears on my desktop and then disappears. The message box indicating that the installation was interrupted occurs right after that.
    I've tried to describe the problem in quite a bit of detail below to help avoid suggested fixes that have been tried and failed.

    2. I have Administrator access. I have verified that I'm part of both the Adminstrators and SERVICE groups under Impersonate a client after authentication. This process is found in the following doc:

    3. Windows is fully updated through the Windows Update utility. See Windows version info below.
    4. I can install any other application. I use this computer for work and I can install and uninstall any other application
    I try. No other known errors or problems. I've installed other applications that use Microsoft Installer and InstallShield installers without problems.
    5. I tried the Quicktime standalone install and I received the notice that "The installation was interrupted..." Quicktime is now not found on the machine and there is no Quicktime files in the Program Files. During the middle of the installation, I received the following error. Error during QuickTime Standalone (7.1.0.210) install:
    Error 1905.Module c:\program files\QuickTime\qtuiPanelControl.dll failed to unregister. HRESULT -2147220472 Contact your support personnel.
    When I attempt to install iTunes from the standard install, Quicktime installs properly and works. It only fails during the standalone install.
    6. No strange characters in the folder. There is no itunes folder so it contains no folder. The download exe is on my desktop.
    7. Temp Folder emptied and machine restarted (many times)
    8. Uninstall older versions - They are not listed as installed so there is nothing to uninstall. The Windows Clean Up utility does not list them so I can't use that tool to remove them. It appears that iTunes is cleaning itself up when the installation fails so there are no files. There is no iTunes folder at c:\program files\.
    9. iPodService alert is not there so I don't need to delete it.
    10. Redownload software - It has been downloaded many times. Each time I'm careful to permanently delete the previous install exe so it is redownloaded.
    11. AntiVirus software has been disabled. I'm using McAfee VS Enterprise 8.0.0. I have also checked the AV logs to see if it has blocked an install or other event around that time - there is nothing in the AV logs to show any blocked or prevented activity. No activity at all because the software is disabled.
    12. Registry - A search of "itunes" in the Registry Editor finds a lot of references. Too many to list, but most are in keys that apply to file types.
    13. I have downloaded and attempted to install the Windows Installer 3.0 package from the following URL:

    I'm told by a box during the install that the version I have installed is newer than the one on the website and there is no need to install it.
    14. The version of iTunes that I'm trying to install right now is 6.0.4.2. I've had this problem for at least three months so I've been trying many versions before its release.
    15. Other than the mentioned AV program, I don't have a third-party firewall, anti-spyware or monitoring program installed.

    It is a miracle - After about 9 months without itunes, the new release installed on my machine today and appears to be working.
    7.0.0.70 is the verion I just installed.
    Another note to add to this now resolved issue. I bought an AirPort Express and I was not able to install the Admin software on the CD. I received the same error as I received with iTunes and Quicktime. This leads me to believe that this problem is in the registry or some other installer issue that is specific to Apple installations. I will have to go home and try to re-install that software. Maybe the new iTunes version cleared up the problem.

    i was trying to update  OS for my bb8520 when i lost internet connection on my laptop so software installation got interrupted, i tried to reload the software but pc wouldnt recognized the bb, it says hardware not recognized, i took it to 2 technicians to try to get it fix but they both said since software installation was interrupted phone is completely dead and its only good to sell it by pieces, is this true? please help, can this be fixed? and how??

    For several months now I have tried unsuccessfully to install iTunes on my laptop computer. The older versions worked, with several bugs, but they worked nonetheless. After installing EITHER iTunes or QuickTime, I get the messages:
    "The installation was interrupted before iTunes could be installed" or "The installation was interrupted before QuickTime could be installed". The result is that NOTHING has been installed on my harddrive. I have read over many previous tech support posts on this forum and have tried many of the proposed solutions to other peoples' problems.
    This isn't necessarily an error message because it doesn't 'popup' after installation, but rather is on the iTunes+QuickTime screen that begins by saying "the iTunes for Windows installer has completed". Immediately underneath is where I get "The installation was interrupted before iTunes could be installed". Followed by "the system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation again." (no ****?). My only option at this point is to click "Finish", which takes me back to the desktop with no sign of iTunes or anything.

    Just noticed the post below mine solved this problem. Now additional problems have arisen...

    The server is too busy and your connection timed out with the server. Try doing this at night because there is less traffic.

    "The installation was interrupted before itunes could be completely installed." I am getting this error when I try to install itunes or ipod updater form either the downloaded copies or the CD. I absolutely can't get either installation to finish. I have tried all the suggestions on the Apple website. Have installed all current Windows updates and the Installshield updates form their website. This ***** I can't use my $350.00 Ipod, now a very expensive paperweight. Thanks, anyone who can help.     Oh, one more thing. If this proves to work, you must configure your Firewall to not block iTunes from launching. What will happen is, you will download iTunes and Qucktime and when you go to launch it, it won't open. That would be because that firewall is blocking it. Post back and let me know if you have Norton, I can post the instructions on how to configure it to allow iTunes and Quicktime.

    I'm not sure anyone here knows more about the Java plugin than you do...
    Were you starting the control panel from disk as administrator because it didn't work starting it through the Start menu (if you have Control Panel set to View by Category, the Java control panel is under "Programs").

    You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
    You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
    *Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
    Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":

  • Too much "Signal Faded; Call Was Lost" message for the past two weeks

    I am using Verizon Wireless mobile Samsung Alias 2 for a few months. For the past two weeks the amount of choppy call and 'Signal Faded Call Was Lost' issue is ascending alarming proportions.
    The *611 VZW customercare does not seem to have a good solution in hand to troubleshoot and/or take a report of the same.

    Did you try tech support, Option 3? To call them it is required that you call from another phone.
    Is the issue only in one location or all over? If just one small area it could be a tower issue and tech support can walk you through to determine which tower may be the culprit. (If you are able to call in from that area) If they don't, ask them to and get a ticket number.
    Also try calling *228 Option 1.
    Final option is to have them ship you a refurb  as the phone should still be unter warranty. Or you could try at a corporate store also to get a replacement.

    We are setting up a CRM 5.0 system, with an ECC 5 backend. We try to replicate the condition customizing (object DNL_CUST_CND). When I look in the object monitor the object gets status green after running. But in SLG1, the log shows over 200 warnings and 3 critical errors with message:
    Determination of values for application was interrupted
    Message no. CND_MAP837
    There is not more information available and I can't find anything relating to this message here or in OSS. Does anyone have a clue what the cause of this error could be?

    You may find  the warning message bcos all the R/3 fields may not be available in
    CRM system. thus those condtion tables may not be mapped and inactive status.Check whether the condtion tables used in ur scenario is available in active status in CRM.
    Regarding the  data exchange of condtion the follwing oss notes will be helpful:

    Please check the above notes and try to analyse ur issue.
