Installed 10.5.1.42 and iTunes bit the dust
Windows 7 32bit w/updates and good antivirus. Checked the support page for this issue - directed to check protocols and look for third party LSP's under Winsock. There is an issue! I have a third party LSP - Bsecure monitoring software to keep internet searches safe. Apparently 10.5.1.42 does not play well with others. It is recommeded to uninstall the third party but I'm not doing that. Hate to see iTunes go away. Don't update - should have went out shopping instead
I tried the netsh winsock reset to no avail. I did however get the itunes store to work though by uninstalling "Besecure" (cloud care). I was on a forum earlier this morning and took the advice from some others who had success uninstalling similar "filtering" software such as "Net Nanny". I tried first just to shut it down and that didn't work. I had to completely uninstall it. Besecure never interfered with itunes or the itunes store until this latest version. Anyway, I'm back up and running - without filtering software

Hello, I installed my new Apple TV and successfully completed the configuration (Wireless network, Apple ID, and others) yet I am always in the Computers and Setting page… can’t move to the main page – any idea on what and how, please?

Unfortunately, a number of users appear to have encountered this problem. Some of these users have reported that the problem just disappears the following day or shortly after. Other users have found various other solutions to this problem.
Firstly, are you receiving any date and time errors when you turn on your Apple TV?
Check that you are properly connected to the Internet, by ensuring that you have a proper IP address and not one starting with 169. Also check that your location for the iTunes Store is set correctly, if so you might try changing it and then changing it back.
If the problem persists try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router, or if this doesn't work you might like to try a restore. -
Object is to sync address and calendar between laptop with Max OS 10.4.11 and iPhone. Upgrade of our 10.4.11 laptop to 10.5 is accomplished and we now need to upgrade Quicktime and iTunes; however, the user name and password for the laptop is now not working after the upgrade to 10.5., though it was working prior to the upgrade, for file sharing.
@ BDAqua > I tried your suggestion but no luck. holding opt+command just gave me a blue screen and it rebotted, pushing the disk out of the drive. Yes, the macbook has 1 gb of ram. I realize that the min req. call for 2 gb of ram so i've got an order in for another dimm to put into the machine. Thanks for your suggestions.
@ a_brody > Yes. The machine was plugged into a power source. The disk promts you to do that and i recall aspect this form other installs. Thanks for the reminder tho! ( btw your second post is like greek to me man!)
@ Kuncklesmac > You're right about Snow Leopard being an upgrade from Leopard. I'm aware of this. And yes previously i've been told by Apple that I needed the Box Set (not the family pack. i am using the family pack for OS Snow Leopard) to upgrade my 10.4.11 mac - they never mentioned adding ram but i figured that out on my own and an apple specialist recommended it when i purchased Snow Leopard and confirmed that I coul duse the Snow Leopard to upgarde from Tiger (10.4.11). I've also read extensively (as i said above) that it isn't necessary (always) to buy the box set. Several 10.4.11 users report having upgraded using the Snow Leopard upgrade disk only (not the Box Set) without trouble on intel macs (also see the apple link i posted). So i'm just ondering how they did it and i cannot.

After my friend locked me out of my iPhone with too many wrong password attempts I restored my iPhone via recovery mode and now it is showing that picture of a cable leading towards itunes, and itunes says the sim is not supported but it is the original sim. How do I fix this?
Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
There is nothing wrong with the update.
Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed. -
Was following prompts to update my ipod to iOS6 and itunes says the ipod needs to be restored, but when I follow the prompts to restore it says it can't find the ipod? Any ideas?
Did you try removing and reinstalling all the Apple software using:

I have burned several CD's, and itunes stopped the burning process and said "unknown error 4000 has occurred" can anyone tell me what this means and if it can be avoided or fixed? It has happened several times and I would like to know what is happening when it says that message.

What back-up process have you been using? How old is your iTunes back-up?

Yes, I have checked the app folder and there is no imovie in there, there is also nothing in the trash.
I have also checked the HD for imovie and it seems as though it's just gone?

HD Bit the Dust (iBook G4) - Need Replacemtent HD
The internal HD in my iBook G4 bit the dust. I’m looking for recommendations for a replacement HD? I would like to get a higher quality internal HD, probably 100-120GB.
I’m also wondering just how much extra heat a 7200rpm internal HD would create? The HD that came with my iBook (purchased June, 2004), a 60GB (I believe 5400rpm), gets pretty hot, so I have to keep a small fan blowing under the iBook which sits on an iCurve.You need a 2.5-inch, 9.5 mm high ATA hard drive like the ones here.
I have been told that battery life is impacted by the higher-speed drives, but I'm not certain that there would be a significant heat difference.

Silent install Premiere Elements 10, 32 and 64-bit
I found the article on how to do a silent install of Premiere Elements 10 at http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/kb/silent-install-instructions-premiere-elements- 4.html
My question is how do I combine the 32 and 64-install files, or do I? I have an x86 folder for the 32bit, and x64 for the 64bit versions of Premiere Elements. Each has a PRE 10 and ReadMe folders. Can I combine these folders together, so both 32 and 64-bit versions are all in one PRE 10 folder? It would appear that some files would be overwritten, although most appear to be identical, so not sure how important that is.
Also, can you clarify the setup and location of the optional content folder. I have a folder called "PRE 10 Content" that has several subfolders such as "Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Content 1" and "Adobe Premiere Elements 10 HD Content 1" etc. My understanding is the top level folder should be renamed Templates, but I seem to be getting stuck as to exactly which folder that is. Should the set up be PRE 10\Templates\PRE 10 Content\Setup.exe.
Or, are the installers for 32 and 64-bit versions of Premiere Elements meant to be separate from each other?

John T. Smith's input sounds sound, there may be one block in pursuing that suggestion.
I would agree with John T. Smith that Adobe is the one to sort out its Adobe Tech document for you if it will. It often restricts its assistance if the matter does not relate to purchased/registered/current version. And, Premiere Elements is not the current version.
Have you contacted Adobe about this matter and been refused help for the reason that I referred to?
And, out of curiosity, I would ask "Does the following apply to you?
Only Enterprise customers can perform the following procedures to silently install Adobe Premiere Elements 10 on Windows with an Adobe volume license (AVL).
What computer are you using and how many installation discs do you have?
Adobe is indeed your first choice, maybe your only choice, on this if it will help you with version 10.

I purchased an application that offered all kinds of books, imbedded within, at no cost...now on IPAD all like books, study guides, are imbedded for purchase. I dont see why I have to pay for the application twice...It was Olive Bible : offering on my phone at least 5-10 different translation, plus 20+ books by the old Church preachers dating back to the reformation forward. Please advise how to access my iphone apps...already paid for...to install on my ipad.
If they are still in the store and you are signed in with the same account (and they are compatible with iPads) then you should be able to download them on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the App Store app - you may need to tap the 'iPad Apps' button at the top left of that screen and select 'iPhone Apps' instead.
Or if you have on your computer's iTunes you can connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand sidebar (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then use the Apps tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select and sync them to your iPad. -
IPod classic and iTunes in the cloud HELP
Evening all!!
Decided to have a bit of an update. Backed up and manually synced IPad 3 to iTunes, then had a go with iPod classic. Firstly I noticed that I didn't have all the usual options of syncing etc and nothing happening with manual sync. In the end I tabbed over and synced music. I now have 27 of my 4000 songs on my iPod!!
I have looked in here and tried what has been suggested including restoring my iPod- which I now don't seem to be able to rename lol. If I click on the cloud it downloads my music and appears to be reappearing on my iPod but I am either having to click. On each individual song or best case is each artist.
Can anybody help me revert to original normal decent iTunes library that is not in a cloud but stored simply where it should be- laptop and iPod?! I have currently got to 300 songs and am losing the will....
Incidentally I had an email to say my laptop wasn't authorised (but it is) so when I double checked it says it is authorised.....

Your question seems to have nothing to do with the iphone.
If the songs are not on your computer, then you need to put them there.
